They had a number of beautiful lamps and fixtures. I was stopped and advised that they had the part for my lamp so it would be fixed on the spot. What a pleasant surprise. I had a number of questions, and all were answered fully (even how such an older building could support so much electric draw). I found a shade on a lamp that I really liked. They called the company to see if the shade could be ordered separately. I was given product number, the color I wanted, and the price. It was such a pleasant experience. I will definitely return as the need arises.

The lighting here cannot be bought on Amazon ! Go to the shop on Arch street in Philadelphia and you see the beautiful pieces for sale at reasonable prices. The owners are lovely and are excellent at customer service. It reminds me of a store of the 70s where customers are treated with respect . When you buy a fixture or mirror you return in a few days and it is professionally wrapped so as not to break in transit to your home. He explained where the leak was coming from and I never felt like he was trying to pull one over or find problems that weren't there. We scheduled the roof repair for three days later but inclement weather pushed us into early the next week. I can't say enough about the guys who came out to do the job - it was a really lousy winter day and they were professional, friendly, and incredibly hard workers. Our roof was installed less than 3 years ago and today's wind have loosened a large portion of the metal cover that was installed on the edge. We are out of town and received calls from multiple neighbors that the roof is "flapping" in the wind". We were told there is a service charge because this isn't included in the warranty. I wouldn't recommend top tier to neighbors but pretty sure no one will be asking who did our roof since they've all now seen this !

We recently purchased a 100 + year old South Philadelphia row home that requires many repairs and upgrades. We selected Matt for the plumbing because: 1. He was knowledgeable, confident and experienced in what was required for our job. 2. His price was in line with the companies that have good reputations on Angie's List and Yelp. 3. He didn't try to "up sale" us on ripping out all basement plumbing. 4. He was the guy who estimated and bid the work and was also the person who would actually do the work. 5. Unlike two of the companies bidding the job, he would get the required permits and do the job by-the-book. 6. He is just a hell of a nice guy, running his family-owned business, doing skilled and difficult work for an honest price. His crew was on time, professional, and his office person could not be nicer to deal with. Additional info: Matt also went above and beyond in two ways. 1. On the day of the job, I asked him to add a floor drain to the project. This seemed like a simple request from a home-owners perspective but given the limited space in the work area, it was a really difficult fit. But he pulled it off. 2. I ask Matt to leave the floor concrete open so I could make some adjustments to some other utilities that are also installed in this tight corner of the basement floor. While working on it I noted a void under/outside of the old field stone wall of the row home. I contacted Matt for advice and a day later he had one of his men back to pack the area with stone. He really didn't need to do this because, given the age of the home, the void could have been there for years. Matt just handled it. This is why, going forward, Mr. Tubbs will always be our Philly plumber. Final note: Matt also teaches plumbing in the evenings, so he really knows his trade. I know this is a crazy long review, so you probably think Matt is my brother-in-law or something. Nope. I'm just a satisfied customer who thinks you should give credit where credit is due.
