I understand that no facility is perfect, and some hiccups are to be expected, but a few issues made her stay more challenging than it needed to be. Unfortunately, her dentures were lost on the first night, which created a significant hardship. Without teeth, she was unable to eat most meals, and the puréed food provided was thick and honestly unappetizing. I ended up bringing her soup each evening so she could eat comfortably. What stood out most was the clear difference between what felt like an "A team" and a "B team." When V, Jennifer, and Mark were on duty, my mother was well cared for--knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. Other staff members seemed less experienced and less warm. The facility is clearly understaffed; while some aides were wonderful, others were not particularly kind. Cora was an absolute doll, but she had far too many patients and not enough support. Teri, the concierge, was truly five-star. Any issue we raised was addressed promptly and professionally. The rehab team--both PT and OT--were amazing and are the primary reason we chose this facility in the first place. They exceeded expectations. Areas for improvement include staffing levels, consistency of care, cleanliness, and food quality, which was mediocre overall. With more support and better oversight, this facility has the potential to be much better, especially given how strong some members of the team truly are.

She had to beg them for pain medication. They left her for hours in a soiled diaper and she developed a rash. She had a broken pelvis and they threw her around in the bed when they finally decided to change her. One nurse actually said to her that she looks like a crazy person. The bathroom was filthy and it was never cleaned. One day they left her covered in vomit. They do not treat patients like human beings. They have zero compassion, sympathy or any sense of morality. We are all scarred from this place and I would not recommend it to anyone. Stay away.

They refused to help compensate us anything for his $800 glasses with prisms They insisted they were not there but he had them the day before I went for surgery. The transport searched her van and they were not there. Also after experiencing a rehab after my back surgery I realized that I had 3 hrs a day of PT and OT. ENCORE. Provided 5 days of 45 min sessions. This is NOT A REHAB. Might be great for skilled nursing or long term live in. Therefore if you are looking for a real rehab experience then Encore is not the place to go

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation Center…read more I'm only giving one stars because it should truly be zero -- the only reason for any stars at all is the general kindness and effort of the nursing staff, RN - Cyndy and the CNA Ayden who did their best under difficult circumstances. The house physician Dr.Elena Sokolova did not even read the medical records and showed no knowledge of my mothers case. Unfortunately, the CNA staff was subpar and, at times, outright abusive. My elderly mother was admitted and, within just two days, was given incorrect medication that made her seriously ill. We had to request her discharge immediately for her own safety. The administrative staff was equally disappointing -- unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and more interested in blaming one another than solving urgent patient issues. It was clear that they accepted a patient they were not properly equipped to care for, which put her health in jeopardy. She was left sitting in vomit for over 1.5 after she called for assistance and no one came to help her. A formal complaint is being submitted to the state, including full documentation of their actions and the neglect and mistreatment my mother experienced. Families with fragile or medically complex loved ones should exercise extreme caution before considering this facility

After 2 years of being a very happy, proud resident at what was originally presented as a classic,…read morebeautiful luxury facility (used to look like a 5 star resort!), we are absolutely gobsmacked by the new "renovations". Clearly Federated did not invest in a luxury designer. They hired a budget conscience decorator or service that found the cheapest solutions. They just completely re-carpeted the entire common areas with the busiest, cheapest looking mish mosh of vomit carpeting that I have never seen the likes of in a luxury setting. Not only is it extremely disorienting and distracting to people already feeling unsteady, but none of it matches from one room to the next, no cohesiveness and zero design or style. My poor mother gets dizzy trying to walk on it, other residents have mentioned they can not roll their chairs or walkers smoothly on the extra plush textured carpeting. The common conversation amongst the residents is the incredibly tasteless design decisions made for this reno, this has upset everyone in the building! I refer to it as vomit carpet because one would not notice if someone was to actually vomit on it. It would just blend in. Assuming they wanted something that would not show dirt - they succeeded because it is so incredibly busy and distracting you would not notice anything spilled or stuck in it. Federated took all the class and luxury out of this gem and made it look like public housing. For what the resident's pay to live there, they should have invested in a classic style and not gone so cheap, modern and extreme to have mismatched patchworks of various busy carpet designs randomly placed every inch of the facility. If we had toured it today my mom would never had agreed to move there. Sinai Residences is no longer dressed to impress. Classic, stylish, and luxurious has been replaced with common, cheap and institutionalized.

I was recently sent to 23315 Blue Water Circle, aka Edgewater at Boca Pointe by an agency for a…read moreprivate duty case. From my observation, the staff members are predominantly Haitians and most of them, from my perspective, lack interpersonal and communication skills. There was one nurse who was nice. I want to convey my appreciation to that particular nurse. This is what transpired to the best of my recollection. I was accosted by two staff members. They were questioning my job description. They wanted me to do their jobs and I declined. They wanted me to perform their duties which they probably believe was beneath them. The client is paying for services rendered and I believe the facility's staff members are the ones responsible for her care during her hospitalization. I don't mind assisting; however, I will not lift nor will I use my body as a Hoyer Lift. I made that quite evident to my employer that I cannot lift. I accepted the case because the client was ambulating and she didn't require toileting assistance. Basically, from My perspective, I was more of a companion. I made sure she eats, take her meds as scheduled among other duties. The family at that time, have never had anything negative to say about me or my performance when the client was being cared for in the comfort of her home. When I was at the aforementioned facility, I was minding my own business and one of the aides, walked up to me and she said, the other lady who worked yesterday, she did everything for the patient; we did not have to do anything. I don't believe the staff members should have accosted me. Additionally, I called for assistance when the client had to go to the bathroom. It took what seems like eternity for a response. Their response time is terrible. It took approximately 30 minutes for the assigned staff member to respond. I believe they are short staffed and I recommend a floater to help the staff as needed. There are times when the client defecate and urinate in her pants because no one acknowledged the call light in a timely manner. Are these people volunteering their time or are they being compensated? I informed the RN, Charge Nurse, that I would prefer not to be interrogated or harassed by members of her staff. I informed her if she has any issues with me, I would prefer for her to contact my employer as opposed to confronting me. She was disrespectful, boisterous, unprofessional and uncouth. The Charge Nurse came in the client's room while I was using my phone. I told my client I had to call my bank and she granted me permission to make the call. On her way out, the RN sarcastically stated, " You need to watch your patient." I went by the Nursing Station and she was not at the station. I saw her conversing with someone in the break room. I politely asked if I may speak with her. " What do you want?" I said, May I speak with you? I said to her respectfully, do you have something to say to me? I hope they have camera. She started swinging her hands and she got extremely boisterous. " What is your problem?" If I have something to say to you, I would say it." I called and reported the incident to the Director of Nursing. I told her I will, if necessary, climb the chain of command. Apparently that bothered her. She called me back to tell me the facility is a non profit and she does not want me back. She told me she spoke with the client's children and she does not think I am a good fit for the client. I helped this client in her own home for approximately eight months. Tables do turn and everything in life is transitory. The Director of Nursing has an Haitian accent as well and I believe she is upset that I reported her unprofessional compatriots. In conclusion, I want them to know not to make assumptions. I took early retirement and I choose to work part time with the agency. I have three College Degrees and the last one I got is from Nova Southeastern University. I am a retired teacher and private investigator. I am an educated woman who took early retirement due to my current health issue. The Moral of the story is, " Do not judge a book by its cover." We have to treat people how we want to be treated. Lastly, be careful with power. Power is a dangerous weapon. Use power carefully. God is the true power. I will continue to excel because I serve a God that will never abandon me. In conclusion, What they meant for evil, God is going to turn it around for good.

We found the vast majority of the residents there were friendly and helpful. The food varied - some days really good, other days not as much. But if you didn't like what they were serving, you could order off the "served every day" menu. Mom's 1 bedroom apt was clean, bright and very spacious. The washer/dryer in the actual apt was great! The apt cooled well and quickly with the A/C. Her room was very quiet. And we were able to get an apt not too far from the elevator. Once on the 1st floor, the elevator to the dining room, to the outside, and to the auditorium was very close. I was allowed to stay overnight when I needed to, no problem. I felt that what we received for the price was very reasonable compared to other places. The man at the front desk, Pete, was amazing. Ask him anything and he was very happy to help us, every time. When we had trouble with the thermostat once, it was fixed immediately. Light bulbs were replaced right away. Lint buildup in the dryer was cleaned out the same day we called about it. Everything worked. No place is perfect 100% of the time, but Mom and I felt this place tried their best to make it so. After 2 1/2 years in Independent Living, Mom needed to go to Assisted Living (AL). We stayed with Stratford Court and just transferred her over two buildings. Once there, she was happy to see one of her friends from IL was there as well. It's only been 1 week in AL, but so far we are finding the same quality of care. I hope this continues! And I hope this review helps.
