Despite issues with overbooking (perhaps more of an issue in-season) and poor transition when a therapist goes on leave, I think PTI is probably a good place for lower extremities rehab, but you'll probably be better served elsewhere if you have elbow, wrist, or hand injuries.

At my first visit, Dr. Krystal Schoch (the owner) conducted an intake interview to assess my situation. I was immediately impressed with her, and the interview itself. After about 40 minutes, Krystal introduced me to Nancy (my primary PT). Nancy conducted a short PT session with me immediately following the intake interview. Nancy was gentle, but firm and it was evident she knew exactly what was needed to alleviate my arm pain. Not only did my pain go away completely because of my PT experience at Atlantic Therapy, but surprisingly I actually enjoyed the experience. For the most part, I was doing exercises overseen and helped by Nancy in a spacious open room with other patients. What I found particularly positive was the friendliness of the staff and camaraderie that developed between the patients, even though we were all there for a variety of health concerns. It was sort of magical to me. (Many years ago I was in PT and it was a rather cold, matter of fact experience.) He had ordered MRIs which showed I had advanced stenosis resulting in daily pain and a poor quality of life. I had been suffering for many years following a motor vehicle accident and arthritic changes and I'd been receiving numerous epidurals and meds elsewhere but relief was never permanent and I felt this is no way to live. My visit and meeting Dr Blanco was life changing!! I felt music should have played in the background.. that's how much of a difference that made in my life. He told me about an implantable device that could control my pain and explained that there are many companies making it now. It's an AI- based spinal cord stimulator that blocks the pain signals to the brain. He explained it plus he gave me lots of literature to take home to read. (I was in the picture with them but came out terrible so i cut myself out! They are the superstars anyway!!!!) My next step is to see the neurosurgeon that Dr Blanco recommended who will perform the permanent implant surgery. Of course there will be a review! Let's all keep our fingers crossed!
