    Hair in our towel
    Kaithleane Amber E.

I liked how the suite included two separate bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a fridge. They had adjustable air conditioning and a sofa in case we had an extra guest. The front desk worker was nice and polite. What I didn't like was how dirty it was. In all of my towels I found thick, black hair folded inside. I know it's not mine bc I have bleached hair. Both bathrooms had sediment on the floor but I read other reviews that said they recently did renovations but they should've vacuumed the room before we used it. The dishes were dirty but we didn't end up using them. Our bathroom sink was clogged, the entire time we stayed there. We tried all we could to unclog it ourselves but couldn't. It wasn't even anything we did, as soon as I got to the room I washed my hands and it just started pooling up.

It says quarters available at front desk on the welcome paper. Super false advertising.

Everything was ok but this isn't a place you stay more than 2 nights or long term while traveling they give you a paper when checking in saying quarters are available at front desk for laundry machines but they told me they don't when I went to go ask they made it seem like they never have them so I didn't really appreciate the false advertising I would not have stayed here if I knew. It's a huge inconvenience when your not from California.

i made a apple cider vinegar trap for the gnats and they are surrounding the cup

This hotel was beautiful and had great perks but had alot of flaws. I was here for 35 days for relocation purposes and ive moved rooms three times. My first and second room had a bad gnat problem that management did not know how to fix. It was very uncomfortable and the gnats gave my dog anxiety, she would run and hide. This hotel also gave my dog fleas. Right before i moved to the hotel my dog was already evaluated and she did not have them. Management was rude he always seemed to have an attitude when i needed help and voiced my concerns. They advertised high speed internet but the internet DID NOT work. If you decide to stay at this hotel make sure your room is off of the first floor because thats where the bug problems are.

    Breakfast to-go

Clean, spacious, and great view of the bay! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that included a kitchen and 2 separate bathrooms. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook (pans, pots, spatulas). Dish soap is included but not a sponge. The dishwasher came with soap for about two rounds of washing. Restrooms are clean fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash attached to the bathtub wall. We stayed for two nights and both nights were very quite. The frequency of room cleaning is decreased to minimize contact but if you need any amenities you can just call downstairs and it will come within 10-15min. Breakfast was okay in terms of to-go. Some hotels are transitioning to full hot breakfast while this one is still offering to-go. The first day included hard boiled eggs, banana, muffin, and juice. The second day included an egg, cheese, sausage muffin, fruit, and juice. In addition, coffee and hot water are available during breakfast time. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a place near SF or South SF!

Laundry room at Residence Inn South San Francisco Oyster Point

We like Residence Inn hotels for family travel so we can all stay in the same room, but with room to spread out--more bedrooms, more bathrooms, a kitchen in the room, a sofa bed. We like the included free breakfasts, too. Residence Inn hotels are usually pretty generic in style, but make up for it in comfort. Our room had nice, remodeled bathrooms, but the furniture had some wear and tear. The setting on the bay is lovely, and we enjoyed the walking trail. There are office buildings nearby with a few restaurants in their lobbies. This location is close to SFO airport--there is a free shuttle every 30 minutes or so. It's fairly close to downtown San Francisco by car or rideshare. There is a Caltrain station in walking distance. (You can hear the train from the rooms sometimes.) The BART station is farther away--probably not in walking distance. When you are getting dropped off or picked up, make sure the driver knows you are staying at the Residence Inn, not the Courtyard next door.

We picked this hotel because of the location. It was a lot less room than I was expecting for the price! Additionally, we like to sleep with the ac fan on to drown out all the outside noise, unfortunately, the fan was so loud (in the bedroom), that we were unable to sleep. This hotel states that it has free breakfast, normally for a Residence Inn, this consists of continental with a hot waffle bar and several beverage options. Please refer to the photo of the substitute offering during Covid-19. I was so disappointed because I was unable to eat any of it. I was also very irritated that the only beverage selection was a coffee bar. I don't drink coffee. I felt this was a very poor effort to provide a breakfast especially in an area that does not have restaurants within walking distance.

My family and I had to stay here during the fires in August to get away from all the smoke we're having in the East Bay. We enjoyed a four night stay at the hotel which is in a beautiful area surrounded by businesses that are empty. This man that we could walk around the bay water and office buildings uninterrupted it without people due to the pandemic. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and had an ocean bay view. We enjoyed the cool Seabreeze and the smell of the fresh air and our walks around the bay. We brought our dog who also loved being there as well. Overall it was a safe sanctuary that far enough away from the fires yet convenient with great restaurants nearby that were accessible driving distance.

    Breathtaking views!

Friendly staff Cons: I specifically requested for a quiet room as I was there for business. For some reason they put a family with small children and a dog directly across from me. Around 10pm when I was getting ready to sleep, I hear a dog barking and kids running around in the hallway. On that point, the room walls seem awfully thin. You can hear different, subtle noises that can be distracting to a light sleeper. You can also hear planes fly by so I recommend bringing ear plugs. There is nothing in the area. You'll need to drive if you want to eat somewhere other than the on-site restaurant. No free breakfast

The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and offered great value for the price. My only minor complaint is that the rooms felt a bit dark and the lighting could be improved. Other than that, I really have no complaints. If you're looking for an affordable hotel close to SFO with convenient overnight parking, this is an excellent choice. If you're expecting a five-star resort with upscale restaurants and luxury amenities, this isn't that type of property but it doesn't claim to be. For the price, it's hard to beat.

We were on the 2nd floor in the 2nd building. Outside of the hotel looks much rougher than the inside. The room was clean, be aware there is no microwave or fridge in the rooms. Water in the shower takes quite a bit of time to get warm enough to get in, they did not provide wash cloths or soap on the sink only shower gel affixed to the shower wall. The door between the sink and bathroom/shower area was a pocket door that was loud & squeaky (not a big deal with just my spouse and I) the fan in the bathroom did not work and there was a large patched hole in the pocket door that was painted an odd color. We were here just for the night and we were really didnt sleep much with the excitement of our upcoming flight. Budget friendly. She was pleasant enough and because I was still an hour away drive from the hotel, she said she would make a note on the reservation that we wouldn't be in until 3a so the hotel wouldn't cancel our room. After taking our CC info, we were relieved to know we had a room for the morning. Fast forward to 3a when we tried to check in.. our room had been canceled. Supposedly I had said we'd be there in 10 minutes (absolutely no way i would've said this coming from SJ to SF). We tried to book while at the hotel and the front desk person said we couldn't. I'm just not understanding why phone agent would take my CC info knowing my room would most likely get canceled. Obviously making a note in the system didn't help. Why couldn't she have contacted the hotel front desk person for us to make sure? Also, since our room was canceled and there was definitely a room available when we arrived (assuming it wasn't the only room available and didn't get booked within the hour we made the reservation until arriving).. why couldn't we book that same room? In any case, we were super tired at 3a hoping to get some sleep before flying out of SFO but instead had to find another room. Highly annoyed.

First off, this is close-by SFO airport and if you are not local to SF, if you stay elsewhere, the traffic going back to the airport can be stressful. There is a parking fee per night of stay ($35 during my stay last week). Your room key is your card pass to the parking lot for most guests. Diamond tier have a more reserved parking spots near the entrance of the hotel. However, when I tried the key cards during my first day of stay, both cards weren't working. There is a help button which they buzzed me in afterwards. Throughout the entire week, the gate at Corporate drive was closed, no coming in and out so I would always have to go around. There was not a day that I didn't try to push the help button because my cards were not working even after asking for it to get check by front desk. Let me just say that all of the front desk agents are great, helpful and informative. With so many amenities, they try their best to explain each information to every guest. The hotel has 4 elevators. 2 at front and 2 at the back. You need to tap your hotel key card before you can push any floor buttons. I stayed in one of their newer rooms, the thermostat was set to a certain temperature. I did not felt any difference even when I changed it. I did not voiced this out because I was in and out of my room a lot. Breakfast is complimentary and they have happy hour every day. Overall, my room was clean but housekeeping was not replenishing everything they took out of my room. Any of my used towels that were not on the floor were taken but not all were replaced. I was not able to use the pool but I saw many kids playing in it during my stay. I can't say anything about the fitness center as I wasn't able to use it either due to my work schedule. If you are light sleeper, you will hear airplanes taking off at any time of the day even when at night.
