During one of the hardest seasons of our lives, when no one wanted to take him for grooming because of his age, Sam did without hesitation. She treated him with so much love, patience, and dignity. He was always comfortable with her, and that meant everything to me. Elvis has since passed, and when I recently brought my new dog in, Sam became emotional remembering him. Seeing how much she genuinely cared touched my heart deeply. It showed me that this isn't just a job for her she truly loves the dogs she cares for. We are extremely disappointed by our most recent grooming experience at Cali Pets. We had used this business twice before and previously had positive experiences grooming our two wooly-coated huskies, which is why this outcome was so upsetting. Our dogs have long, thick coats that can mat quickly during seasonal changes, especially in spring. Our male husky, Arkin, is particularly prone to matting around the belly and sides. Because of this, we sometimes trim down problem areas at home before bringing him in, with the goal of preventing larger sections of the coat from becoming impacted while still preserving as much of his fur as possible. That is also what we expected from a professional grooming visit: help managing difficult areas while saving as much coat as reasonably possible. Before this appointment, we had already trimmed much of the fur on his belly and sides, while most of his back remained intact. When we picked him up, we were shocked to find that he had been shaved down almost entirely, including areas that we did not believe required that level of removal. In our view, this was an unnecessarily extreme result, especially in April and especially for a senior dog. Equally concerning was the lack of communication throughout the appointment. Both of our dogs were scheduled that morning. After waiting about 30 minutes, we were told our male dog would need to come back later. We adjusted our day and returned him at approximately 2:30 pm. Around 3:45 pm, we were told he would take longer than expected and would miss the originally quoted pickup window of 4:30-5:00 pm. After that, we did not receive a proper update. The shop closed at 5:30 pm, our calls later went to voicemail, and by after 6:30 pm we were concerned enough that we drove there ourselves to make sure everything was okay. When we arrived, we were told the staff had taken a break and were still finishing up. When we finally saw our dog, the result was far more severe than anything we had expected or would have agreed to had it been clearly explained in advance. We also disagree with several points in the owner's public response. In particular, it is not accurate to say service was refused. Both dogs were scheduled, and we were instructed to bring our male dog back later due to how the appointment was being handled. We also do not agree that this exact outcome was the only possible option. For reference, the three photos we included were posted to show context. One shows our pup before his appointment to give a sense of the length of his coat even when cut down significantly already. Another shows the result after this grooming visit. The third shows an example from a prior at-home trim, included to demonstrate that in the past we have been able to cut down problem areas while still preserving substantial fur rather than taking nearly the entire body down to the skin. That comparison is exactly why this result was so upsetting to us. If such an extreme shave was truly the only humane option, that should have been communicated clearly and directly beforehand. Had that been explained to us in plain terms, we would have declined and made a different decision for our dog. We are sharing our experience so other pet owners can make an informed decision. We have included before-and-after photos, as well as examples of prior trims done at home for comparison.

I've had bad experiences elsewhere where my dog was accidentally hurt or left waiting in a crate for over two hours, which I wasn't comfortable with at all. This place has been amazing. They're accommodating with last-minute grooming needs, recommended packages that actually saved me money while including everything I wanted (and more), and communicated clearly at drop-off and pick-up. Plus I love the little scarves my dog comes home wearing every time. Definitely recommend them if you're in search of a great grooming spot for your pet.

And the outcome was much, much better than I expected. There are SOOO many wonderful things about the whole process at John Kedroff's Signature Grooming but my most favorite thing, is that he made leaving my pups at the groomers much less painful because: 1- I love that there is no hidden room or place to kennel your dogs up that can't be seen. Everything is in the open, you can see your dogs and what's happening. I really appreciate the transparency in that and how clean everything is. It's a welcoming comfy establishment. 2- John was very professional and kind. He took our pups back behind the little gate and showed them love. You can tell that John likes what he does. He asked us questions about what we wanted for our pups and we felt good about his ability to make it happen because of his confidence and input. In setting up the appointment, he was quick to respond, he is efficient and has vision when he sees your pup. I love that! 3- I am super grateful that that he limits the number of dogs he will take at a time so, his attention isn't divided and our dogs aren't overwhelmed with new "friends". 4- His pricing is very reasonable and the final product of his work is impeccable. John gave me an estimated timeframe for when our two pups would be done, couple hours and he was right-on-the-money. I dropped them off and I left went to shops nearby; I drove by periodically to see them through the window. And to my relief, they were happy and healthy. I got a text right when I pulled in (for the timeframe he gave me) and the text said that they were ready. I wasn't in a hurry but loved that they were ready when I got there. Meant to be. The result: FABULOUS! Our puppies nails are better cut/filed then I think they've ever been, the haircut is better than perfect, they smell amazing and to top it off, they came home in bows!! :) I'm so obsessed with how great they look and smell and we just love John for his hard work! Thankfully, she was diagnosed with old dog vestibular syndrome and is doing well. I called ABC Veterinary and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk to explain everything that had happened. I specifically told him that I would still be bringing my dog to her scheduled appointment because I needed to speak with Dr. Meyer about her condition and how this would affect her upcoming surgery to remove a mass. The next day, my husband received a phone call asking whether we would be coming to the appointment because they had the impression that the owner of the dog was the one in the hospital. I don't understand how that message was communicated instead of the information I actually provided. When I arrived for the appointment, I was surprised to learn it had been scheduled as a technician visit for blood work only. I explained that I needed to speak with Dr. Meyer about my dog's care. I was then told that if I wanted to wait to see the doctor, I would have to pay an additional $75 because she didn't have time to see me right away. This was extremely frustrating. My dog had just spent the night in the emergency hospital, where she had already undergone blood work, X-rays, and an MRI. None of that information was discussed, and instead it felt like the only way I could have a conversation with the veterinarian about my dog's condition and planned surgery was by paying another fee. Good communication is essential, especially when a pet has experienced a medical emergency and is scheduled for surgery. Instead, I experienced poor communication, confusion, and a lack of concern for my dog's ongoing care. The focus seemed to be on additional charges rather than making sure everyone was informed and addressing my questions. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office. I would encourage anyone looking for veterinary care to choose a practice that prioritizes communication, compassion, and continuity of care for both pets and their owners.

I immediately emailed the clinic with a few photos, and within 20 minutes I had both an email response and a phone call (just in case I missed the email), along with an appointment confirmed for 8am the very next morning with enough time reserved to perform an extraction if needed. The responsiveness alone was impressive. At drop-off, the surgery technician, Jorge, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, personable, and immediately put us at ease, especially since this was Ruby's first surgery requiring anesthesia. During our conversation and bringing up a certain topic, he mentioned he recently attended a dental conference which reassured us that the team is committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices. Dr. Gertz, whom Ruby has seen previously for routine care, was wonderful as always. She performed the initial exam, confirmed that the tooth appeared fractured, and explained that the team would call with a definitive diagnosis once dental X-rays had been completed. The treatment plan was straightforward - anesthesia, dental X-rays, bloodwork to ensure levels were appropriate before surgery, and a cleaning with extraction if necessary. A few hours after drop-off, we received a call confirming that the tooth was indeed fractured, although surprisingly still alive. Dr. Luna took the time to thoroughly explain the findings and our options. At no point did we feel pressured. She clearly outlined the pros and cons of proceeding versus monitoring the tooth and explained that leaving it untreated would likely lead to problems in the future. After discussing everything, we decided to move forward with the extraction since she was already under anesthesia. No more than a few minutes later, the team called again because they realized the cost of the updated treatment plan had not been reviewed. I actually hadn't noticed because I already trusted that the recommendation was medically appropriate and that the pricing would be fair (which it was). Still, I appreciated their transparency and professionalism in making sure every detail was discussed before proceeding. When we picked Ruby up around 2:00pm, Jorge spent considerable time reviewing her full-mouth dental X-rays with us and explaining exactly why the extraction was recommended. It was fascinating to learn more about canine dentistry, and we left feeling far more informed than when we arrived. He answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly (even the ones that were already covered in the aftercare packet we had just been handed!). We also were given a full sized sample of a recommended oral rinse for regular maintenance. Ruby recovered exceptionally well from the surgery, which was a huge relief. She had previously undergone sedation prior to X-rays at another clinic years ago and did not have a great experience, so we were naturally nervous. This time, her recovery was smooth, the extraction site is healing beautifully, and she came home comfortable with appropriate pain medication. She has shown no signs of discomfort throughout the recovery process. I also want to recognize Lauren at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. She worked with us to ensure detailed notes were included in Ruby's chart to help prevent potential insurance issues and even went a step further by following up with the doctor after we left to request additional documentation that could support a smoother claims process. That level of attention and advocacy is rare and deeply appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We even received a call a few days after her surgery to simply check in on her recovery. From the front office staff to the technicians and veterinarians, every person we interacted with was compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Ruby's well-being. The communication was outstanding, the care was exceptional, and we never once felt rushed or pressured. Ruby is family to us, and the trust we place in those caring for her is not something we take lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the entire team and feel completely confident entrusting them with the health and care of both of our dogs. Bonus: they were giving out adorable supergirl bandanas they received as promo material!

SoCal Vet is the place to go for your pet's dental cleanings. My Pug just has the worst dental…read moreissues, bad breath, lots of visible tarter, etc. I worry about her health and if she's in pain, so I set out to get her evaluated. SoCal Vet quoted me 1/3 of the price of other Vets in my area- about $700 for a 20lb doggy with poor dental. The price included blood work, x-rays, anesthesia, meds, AND extractions. My pug needed quite a few teefs removed. They clipped her nails free of charge. The Gentlemen (forgive me, I forgot his name) who went over x-rays and cleaned her teeth is great at what he does! I have since taken her back for a dental check, and brought my other pug. Both were sedated and received the full dental treatment. The price has remained the same for each! Dr and Staff are sweet; they are busy, but very kind. Def recommend them.

My partner and I recently adopted a dog and went for his first check up. The office was busy with a lot of dogs..one was very aggressive. We were brought into a room by an overworked and overstressed employee and sat there for a while waiting for Dr. Young. The exam was fine. No concerns there. A few weeks later, I called the office to ask a question. They called me back the next day. Totally acceptable turn around time, but prior to them expanding, they would've called back the same day. I recently called the office to ask another question- regarding a medication and increasing the dose. They never returned my call. It's hard for me to recommend this office. I miss the personal touch of a small office where the staff is calm, they know all the animals and their parents, and return phone calls.

This is the first time I've ever taken my dog to get him groomed and when I came inside I felt comfortable leaving my dog with Patricia very friendly and loving. When I was inside I felt that my dog was in great hands I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Once I came back to get my dog he looked and smelled amazing. Patricia did an amazing job with my dog he was so happy, for now on this will be the only place I'll ever come to, to get my dog groomed. I will spread the word of Cute Pets Grooming to my friends and family to get their dogs groomed by the best. We brought our 5 month old Bernedoodle to Patty today and she did a PHENOMENAL job on him! The scheduling was fast and easy, she was amazing at answering any questions we had, and her pricing is perfect! Most importantly our pup surprised us by Loving her, and his full groom was everything we hoped for and more. Her setup is very clean, spacious, and relaxing for the pups. I love Patricia! Always & i mean ALWAYS does a great job with my lil one. Shes great with my little one, Rubi. Im a major fur-momma so finding a good groomer isn't so easy especially when your dog is picky. Cute Pets Grooming is a calm, clean, friendly grooming place. They are very easy to schedule with and your pet is only there for a couple of hours instead of all day. I called Patty and she called me back immediately and got me in the next day! I was very happy with the overall service and love they showed My dog .. they cleaned her up so good I didn't even recognize her! Great price for all that's included even the dental cleaning! I had a very good experience today at Cute Pets Grooming. Paty was very helpful and gave little Maggie a very nice grooming. She was eager to please and happy to do a little extra trimming for me. She also gave me a card that gives me a free cut after nine. I'll be going back again. read more

We are extremely disappointed by our most recent grooming experience at Cali Pets. We had used this business twice before and previously had positive experiences grooming our two wooly-coated huskies, which is why this outcome was so upsetting. Our dogs have long, thick coats that can mat quickly during seasonal changes, especially in spring. Our male husky, Arkin, is particularly prone to matting around the belly and sides. Because of this, we sometimes trim down problem areas at home before bringing him in, with the goal of preventing larger sections of the coat from becoming impacted while still preserving as much of his fur as possible. That is also what we expected from a professional grooming visit: help managing difficult areas while saving as much coat as reasonably possible. Before this appointment, we had already trimmed much of the fur on his belly and sides, while most of his back remained intact. When we picked him up, we were shocked to find that he had been shaved down almost entirely, including areas that we did not believe required that level of removal. In our view, this was an unnecessarily extreme result, especially in April and especially for a senior dog. Equally concerning was the lack of communication throughout the appointment. Both of our dogs were scheduled that morning. After waiting about 30 minutes, we were told our male dog would need to come back later. We adjusted our day and returned him at approximately 2:30 pm. Around 3:45 pm, we were told he would take longer than expected and would miss the originally quoted pickup window of 4:30-5:00 pm. After that, we did not receive a proper update. The shop closed at 5:30 pm, our calls later went to voicemail, and by after 6:30 pm we were concerned enough that we drove there ourselves to make sure everything was okay. When we arrived, we were told the staff had taken a break and were still finishing up. When we finally saw our dog, the result was far more severe than anything we had expected or would have agreed to had it been clearly explained in advance. We also disagree with several points in the owner's public response. In particular, it is not accurate to say service was refused. Both dogs were scheduled, and we were instructed to bring our male dog back later due to how the appointment was being handled. We also do not agree that this exact outcome was the only possible option. For reference, the three photos we included were posted to show context. One shows our pup before his appointment to give a sense of the length of his coat even when cut down significantly already. Another shows the result after this grooming visit. The third shows an example from a prior at-home trim, included to demonstrate that in the past we have been able to cut down problem areas while still preserving substantial fur rather than taking nearly the entire body down to the skin. That comparison is exactly why this result was so upsetting to us. If such an extreme shave was truly the only humane option, that should have been communicated clearly and directly beforehand. Had that been explained to us in plain terms, we would have declined and made a different decision for our dog. We are sharing our experience so other pet owners can make an informed decision. We have included before-and-after photos, as well as examples of prior trims done at home for comparison.

On my most recent visit, however, our bill had increased by about 35%, including a $20 "infrequent grooming" fee. I understand businesses need to raise prices, but this fee caught me off guard because we bathe and brush our dog between appointments. When I dropped my dog off, I jokingly said, "Everything the same as last time... except the infrequent grooming fee." I intended it as lighthearted feedback, not a confrontation. Instead, the owner immediately responded by telling me I was welcome to go somewhere else. The conversation quickly became heated. I'll own my part in that. I wasn't perfect either. But what disappointed me most wasn't the fee itself; it was how quickly a simple comment was met with defensiveness rather than a conversation. As a repeat customer, I hoped my feedback would at least be heard. Ironically, I think there's an easy solution. Instead of adding an "infrequent grooming" surcharge, why not simply offer a loyalty discount to customers who come in more often? The end result is similar, but it feels like rewarding customers instead of penalizing them. To be fair, they do decent quality grooming, and I have no complaints about the care my dog received. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I was asked to take my business elsewhere. We've since found another groomer we're very happy with. I genuinely wish them well. My only advice is that customer feedback, even when you disagree with it, is worth listening to. UPDATE: Thank you for your response. If you were looking to come across as confrontational, argumentative, and defensive, well, then you nailed it.
