I was referred to Soni by my eye dr. My cataract consultation visit began ok but as soon as Dr. Soni came in I felt like I was at a car dealership being pressured to buy the better model. I told her from the beginning that I was on a budget and only wanted the surgery my insurance would cover. She proceeded to go through every other option with costs, even one she said was for pilots, etc. I did not appreciate the pressure and have now decided on another dr who actually listened and didn't try to "sell" me. read more

This morning I experienced flashes in my eyes and my mom suggested Dr. Soni. I called her office and explained my issue and they scheduled me into their busy schedule the day of! Amazing! Once I arrived I was greeted by the sweetest receptionist Shawn and she guided me through all the paperwork. Amanda then greeted me and helped me through all of the eye exams and evaluations. Her positive attitude calmed my anxiety which was much appreciated. Dr. Soni greeted me with wonderful bedside manner and walked me through all of my scans and provided me with an action plan. Dr. Soni was recommended by my optometrist to have my cataracts checked. The office is well staffed and will answer any and all questions. Dr. Soni has her staff run tests 3 times each to get the absolute best reading. She then meets with you to go over the results and to "hear your wants and needs". Once that is done she will recommend what she feels is best for you, also expressing the pros and cons of your selection. She doesn't rush you through this process because she wants you to have the best outcome that can be possible. If you leave the office undecided that is ok. Make you list of questions and make an appointment to discuss your concerns with a member of the staff. Dr. Soni wants you to be happy with what you choose. I had both eyes done. She is competent with the use of the scalpel and laser. I chose the light adjustable lens. Do your research as to what type of lens would work best for you. I am at the point that my eyes are still healing and in a few weeks will start the ultraviolet light process. Some one is on call in case of any issues and Dr. Soni personally called me to see how I was doing after surgery. I am happy with my choice of doctor.
