Honestly downloaded this app just to write this review for one of the car hops named Lina which is short for Angelina I believe. The food was amazing as usual but Lina made it a point to apologize for the way the food was bagged which seemed fine to me in the process of apologizing the second time made a remark that made me burst into laughter. Just because you get something at this location and it's delish doesn't mean that it will be even edible the next time you get it here. A few nights ago I got the Country Steak Sandwich and it was wonderful ... in fact, I enjoyed it so much I kept thinking about how good it was and decided to get another one tonight. OMG! It was so overcooked that I thought I was going to break a tooth biting into it. I thought maybe it was just that portion and it would get better. Nope. It was that way the whole way through and chewing it was a jaw workout. I could have been eating hard cardboard for all the taste it had. Don't expect the food at this location to be consistent. I'm a pretty forgiving person. I know that from time to time my order may be wrong, no biggie. BUT this location is ridiculous. I go here because it's closest to my house. I use to frequent sonic every other day and now it's dwindled to once a month. I ordered a jalapeño cheeseburger combo and asked them to add onions. Pretty freaking easy if you ask me. The burger originally comes with 2 beef patties, cheese, lettuce, mustard, jalapeños, and a bun. So I would like onions added because I freaking like onions. Tell me why I've ordered this burger 3 times from here and it's never been right. They add mayo and tomato with no onions in sight. I don't even like freaking mayo on my burgers which is why I order a burger that doesn't even come with it so I don't even have to force those words out of my mouth, 'no mayo'! And then they add nasty freaking tomatoes to my burger making it soggy and just taste gross. Now I don't know what kind of education or upbringing who ever making the burgers has, but an onion and a tomato are completely different. Shoot, a tomato is a fruit and doesn't belong in a burger anyways. How they get onions and tomatoes confused is beyond me. One time mistake ugh gross but whatever I'll give them another chance. Tell me why it just gets worse every time. I have grown to hate sonic food because well I haven't had a correct burger since I've been coming to this location. Last night orders the jalapeño cheeseburger combo add onions to burger with a large chili cheese fry and a sprite. Tell me why I got a soggy burger with 2 beef patties, cheese, mustard and mayo, lettuce, and tomato!!! WTF so once again nasty mayo and tomato are on a burger that doesn't even come with that. No onions and get this....no freaking jalapeños. I just can't with this location. I will have to go to the one on Barrow and try them. Perhaps they get orders right since they always seem to be packed. I don't know when I will try that location because sonic is just getting gross. I like their slushes but Taco Bell sells freezes and they get my food order right. Sonic just has a soggy tomato, mayo taste in my mouth. Please help whoever is in the kitchen to learn the difference between a tomato and an onion if not for anything other than the fact some people may even be allergic to one or the other. If they can't tell the difference between a fruit and a vegetable...maybe, just maybe the food service industry just isn't for them. read more

I love Sonic don't get me wrong. But this Sonic No. 2 in Abilene has always been very slow or gets my order wrong. I had my boyfriend pick up lunch for me today. Rt 44 Swt Tea...tots...and a bacon cheeseburger no cheese. He picked it up around 12:15pm today and drops it off to me. I do not get to go to lunch until 2 pm. Rt 44 swt tea...check...tots...check...bacon cheeseburger no cheese...no...but a bacon egg and cheese toaster sandwich instead. There is no receipt in the bag. I called my boyfriend to see if he had and he said no. I called Sonic No. 2 two different times and no answer. All I want is to ask that they pay attention to the orders going out, listen to the person ordering, and work on the time they take to get it out to the customer. It doesn't take 20 minutes to get 4 rt 44 swt teas out to a customer. If you are short staffed I understand but if you have ample staff then what is the deal.
