The name Sonic implies speed. That has never been true of this Sonic. I actually think it's worse since they moved from Hwy 29 to Hwy 281. Waiting in line for 20-30 min after the order is placed (on a Sunday afternoon) is ridiculous. Most sit-down restaurants are faster. The food is fine, and what you'd expect from Sonic, but the absolute snail's pace to get the food keeps the review at two stars. Burnet, TX: Ordered from the mobile app, pulled up and waited 20 minutes for our food. Just drinks, hamburger and cheese sticks that were far from even warm. Drink orders were wrong and the Route 44 drink had a leak and burst all over the car when placing it in my cup holder. They corrected the drinks but after waiting longer, asking multiple times for extra napkins., my appetite was gone. I never received the napkins and my car has blue stain everywhere. What's worse is when you try to get someone's attention walking by, they look right through you and proceed to deliver everyone else's food that arrived and left after me! You should never be too busy to address an issue from a more-than-patient patron that waited over 25 minutes. read more

Worst food and service of any Sonic I have ever eaten at before. Service was absolutely horrendous.

We decided to have Sonic for super, and not only did they mess up our order, we didn't get a single item. What we ordered - 2 Foot Long Coney dogs & 2 medium tots What we got - large fry, chili tots, burrito, & chicken The receipt was for our order. So they either put in someone else's bag, or just put random stuff in ours. If they don't fix this, than I'm done with Sonic. I stopped in to have a strawberry lemonade. Thought I couldn't taste any strawberries at all. Open the cup and there were absolutely none included with the drink. Since I had already left. I contacted corporate but never received a response. Disappointing. read more

This place has steadily gone down hill over the years. I always try to give places a second chance but I have given this place way more than a few chances. The sonic in burnet is the worst I've ever been to. The service is terrible. I had a mobile order and once the screen said someone was on their way I waited for another 7 minutes before pressing the button telling them I hadn't received my order yet. I waited for three shakes for at least 30 min, and when the shakes finally came out my shake was completely melted. On top of that the car hop was extremely rude, did not say a word to me either interaction we had. Even after I said, "hi, how are you?" She didn't say a word to me. Damn. I live in Burnet, and I go here like twice a year. Because I almost always have a trailer hooked to my truck, so I don't have the ability to go here, per my other reviews. It's always glacially slow, that's not a joke. The other reviewers are correct. I mean it took like 18 minutes for a single burger. No drink. No sides. Just a freaking Burger. And this ain't on the two for Tuesdays, or whatever it's called. like maybe three other cars there. This is just one of those fast food places, you wonder if the managers even present, and you just know it's absentee out-of-town owners. So we visited here in the afternoon around 2:30. Had a few cars there but not packed. They took an exceptionally long time to finish our food. When we got it my kids corn dog was cold my wife's hotdog was cold and my burger was hot and mozzarella sticks were hot but the main thing sonic is know for their tots was stale, cold and nearly inedible. I know it's sonic and it's fast food but fast and hot is all it takes to keep my family happy. We are locals and it will be a long time before we go back. read more

Great slushes and chili-cheese Coney dogs! Boom Box deal rocks. Any hot dog anyway with a Jr. Cheeseburger, and tots or fries with any drink, even a slush :) It's Sonic Drive-In. We get pretty good service each time we come. I believe they might get 1 of 10 wrong. That as good as or better than Starbucks, McD's and even my Whataburger. We also discovered that you can call in an order and it will be available for you when you arrive. They do take the time to make things right the first time, and it there are any issues they fix them happily. I haven't experienced any significant delays when we call ahead or drive up at this location. read more
