This location has went downhill so much over the last few years. We had a coupon so decided to try it again. We waited 15 mins for our order. Then the burgers were incorrect and the fries were missing. We pushed the red button and 15 mins later finally got the burger but still missing fries. This is the worst Sonic I have ever been to. It takes them over 20 minutes to bring your food, even if there aren't a lot of other customers. I waited at the drive-thru for over ten minutes for someone to even acknowledge me before taking my order, and then it took another 20 minutes to receive my food - and there wasn't even anyone in front of me! By the time they bring out the food it's cold. The servers don't even say anything when they finally bring your order out. If you're in the mood for burgers literally go to any other fast food joint in the area, otherwise prepare yourself for disappointment. read more

My friend and I decided to give this place a good whirl because we love trying new exotic cuisines. We got in line at 3pm on Sunday and didn't leave the drive through until 10pm that same day- I guess it takes 7 hours for them to defrost the food with a easy bake light bulb. Unfortunately they were out of the corn dogs we wanted so we ordered burgers instead. The woman on the speaker told us they don't serve fat whores and asked us to go elsewhere. When we said no because we were starving, she charged us 35 bucks and dumped lettuce and a rancid hotdog into the brown bag and handed it to us. Also when we pulled up to the window a rat bit my finger as I was handing the worker the money and then she decked me across the face and through my cherry limeade on my lap. Time and season definitely play a major role in this restaurant. Being able to get the full menu all day is a major plus. Our household works third shift, and we don't always want breakfast in the morning. Quality of food deteriorates during the course of the day. If this review was only for breakfast and lunch hours, it would have been 5 stars. Dinner food quality leaves you wearing ketchup, mustard, or mayonaisse depending on which one was on your sandwich. Food consistency is also an issue, earlier hours are always much better prepared. And morning coffee prices (pre-10am) cannot be beaten. Unfortunately, we waited an hour today to get breakfast and we tried to be understanding that they were maybe understaffed but after waiting an hour, our order was wrong and had no flavor, and the iced coffee tasted like water. We won't be going here ever again. We don't blame the people working, but just feel like if the food doesn't make up for the wait time it's just worth making a review. I understand they are understaffed but it's honestly just gotten ridiculous. They are painfully slow, always out of things, have been understaffed for over a year now, and food quality has went way down. They have a drive thru but all the time either close it or only allow you to order at the stalls. Today was my last time wasting my time going when they decided to not only completely shut down the drive thru once again but also made it to where you have to order on the app or you can't order at all. I used to never be able to find a Sonic where I lived and was over the moon to go to one. I've quickly learned that Sonic isn't about the 'food' as it's sub-par. But it's the DRINKS! I love everything from their slushies to lemonades/limeades. And you gotta love the 'eat in your car' theme they make standard to all of their locations. We got a corn dog that was burned and looked like someone stepped on it, Cookie dough shakes without the cookie dough, and just sub par food all the way around. We stop at Sonic when we travel down south because there isn't any in the north east. Its your typical fast food except you park in a little drive in type decor. Some have the waiters on roller skate but this one did not. Food is large and greasy but they have the chilli coney dogs and tots with a lime aid that all my north east friends crave. read more

Burgers are decent, not great. They are often out of things (chocolate ice cream?). The big problem is that the kitchen is incapable of making an order according to request. EVERY TIME we order a chili cheese wrap with onions added, we get one without onion. Sometimes it's on the order and we just don't get it, sometimes it's not on the order - but we can't check the order because the screen is broken! love sonic! i miss sonic! i wish there was one closer to me! there's only one thing that i always get ... strawberry cream slush! it's perfect any time of the day. it's not too creamy and you can also taste some chunks of strawberries. This Sonic is off the charts good. My favorite sandwiches are the blt with x-tra bacon and the Chicago or Kraut dogs with tots. Friendly courteous service and the sandwiches good and hot. This is a good place to eat before shopping next door at Kroger, so you don't shop on an empty stomach. I took a veteran that is in poor health from Wisconsin to see some friends of his for what could be the last time. My friend had seen many commercials for Sonic on tv and wanted to try it. The five of us went to this Sonic and everything that could go wrong did go wrong! I wanted all our order on one bill yet the person taking the order kept splitting it. When our meals came one out of the five was correct. The chicken was so dry it was hard! The burgers were either missing or had the wrong stuff on them. We sent everything back and there fix for the chicken was to just have it swimming in sauce so much that it was leaking out of the bag. The burgers were still wrong and it took three tries for them with three different cards just to get the bill paid for the mess we did get. Rather then try longer to get the mess right after dealing with it for over 30 minutes we just left. One of my friends called the corporate office the next day and was told someone would get back to her. No one ever did so she called the this Sonic the next day and was told she could have coupons. Why would people from Wisconsin want coupons? And none of us planned on ever going back there so she was told someone else would have to call her back and again no one did. Upon returning to Wisconsin I filled out a form online complaining about the mess. I got a call and was offered coupons now what good are they to me in Wisconsin!!!!!!!!????? I was told my $54.83 would be returned to me..well that was the first week on May and now it is May 28th and Im still waiting. None of us will ever go to any Sonic again and we are doing our best to make sure others stay away from here...oddly enough in doing so we have heard from many that also will never go here again from the Christiansburg area. read more
