It took us about 10 minutes to get anyone to start our order. At the beginning we warned them we had 3 separate orders for my personal car. I will need to speak for the other car but the service for ours was horrible. We had to wait for almost 30 min to get our first order which was only a #5 and for them to take the last order. We finally got our food and when we did we didn't get the ranch or ketchup we asked for. They kept telling us they'd be back before never did. So one of the girls got out and went up to the door and knocked. She asked for ranch and ketchup...the lady told us we had to pay for them and also told my friend she didn't like her attitude for asking for ranch when we never received it the first time. She was extremely nice about after already asking twice. The second worker who I didn't get the name looked us up and down and was absolutely rude. I've been in the service industry for 10 years and this is the worst service ever. Even for fast food. On top of all this our food was bland and thrown together and barely wrapped up. They had 4 maybe 5 cars in the hop area. Not busy at all. Four hungry girls in a Jeep and we were completely unsatisfied with the salty whore at your store. read more

Ridiculous.. I always use the drive-thru, I've never used the car hop. First they are a bit impatient when taking your order.. Not good when you modify items. The food is a whole different story. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich a few days ago with tomato. Only to find there was some kind of fibrous material attached to the outside of the toasted bread. I don't know what it was but I peeled off almost hairlike pieces and couldn't eat my sandwich. I can only guess it was from some kind of cloth they wiped a hot grill with. read more

If I could give this place .5 of a star I would. The service is horrible. The bread was stale and I had to wait 30 minutes to get 5 items. I give them kudos to the chili dogs they were great but not worth the wait. The drive through(in whatever) was dirty and there is too much on the menu to actually order, and the drive in is too old for the 21st century. I know that the employees we in high school/collage because they did not care that they were being slow. And for those reasons Sonic has lost my business forever. Just went through the drive thru and ordered a simple burger with ketchup and mustard. Get home to find the burger was made with cheese so instead of them making a new burger they peeled the cheese off and gave me the burger. There is cheese all over the bun inside and out. This Sonic is one of the absolute worst!! The service stinks, the after 8 milkshakes aren't mixed properly and they are weak tasting! The employees park their cars in the drive up slots and there's limited parking for a paying customer! Five of their menu boards are missing altogether, thereby making those last drive up spots useless!!! This location has had employee misconduct issues in the past that led to the store closing for months. Seems like nothing much has changed. Today I went for a quick bite of lunch with my friends as there was 50¢ corn dog special. Being a high school, with little to no money and time, we thought this was a great idea. However we were suprised. The establishments name is "Sonic Drive-In" meaning they should be fast but that was no the case. We waited almost 20 minutes to order and receive it. For a fast food place this is not very "fast". To make matters worse, they only had one worker serving the customers their orders. Ordered their new Island Fire Supersonic Double Cheeseburger . It was not that great, Jack in the Box is much better. Their menu in their stalls is incorrect in the pricing of the amount of money for the flavor add ins. I rarely order food from this Sonic and now I remember why. They are super chintzy when it comes to sauces!! Every other Sonic gives 2 Marinara sauces with a 4 or 6 piece mozzarella stick. A four piece maybe I could see only offering one, but definitely not a 6 piece!! One marinara barely is enough to dip like 2-3 sticks in. This location only gives one free marinara for a 6 piece and charges $.25 for each extra one. In fact even when I have asked for extra sauce at other locations they rarely charge me. But in three separate attempts to order these over the past month at this Fresno location they come without a dipping sauce. It's odd because they let me order it. They cook it and bring it out, and we're not surprised I was not happy. It was kind of a sad exchange. It was like the gentleman was used to this reaction. Great place to drive-in and feed your belly. I was very pleased with the service I recieved, especially by the employee that served me named John Fairchild. I ordered a Chicago dog with Tator tots and a chocolate coke. Everything was so delicious. The Chicago dog was loaded with toppings and was still hot when I recieved it. The Tator tots were crunchy and flavorful and the chocolate coke was to die for. Definetly a regular place for my friends and I. Manager is kind of an asshole though. I ordered a cherry slush float. It is a cherry slush, with ice cream; made into a float. Just ordering it stumps them! Today the float I received was absolutely horrible. I had to throw it away. The slush wasn't mixed. It was ice, with concentrated cherry flavoring sitting on it. The Ice cream was made in a dirty freezer. The texture of the ice cream was grainy, or waxy. I like Sonic Drive In, but this location sucks. The food is generally OK, assuming they get your order right. Sometimes the tots are overloaded with salt. The main reason to steer clear is the staff. You'll usually get some combination of rude, deaf, or incompetent. Last time I went here, I got attitude from the guy working the drive thru. It was around 9 at night, and the place was pretty dead. After a couple of minutes trying to get the order in, I told him never mind. As I drove off, he shouted a couple of obscenities at the top of his lungs out the service window at me. I have no idea what it would take to get me to try this place again. 5/27/2013: Guess I won't get a chance. This Sonic has been shut down! 6/7/2013: Per Sonic Corporate, the owner shut this location down and is considering whether to re-open or not. Closed until further notice. read more

Probably the best burger place to eat at night because of the effort they put in. I ordered a burger and it was nice and hot for me and they put it together with care, unlike some burger joints.
