Sonic Drive-in N. Ft Myers Fl. 5-13-25 Stopped by around 12 noon on a Tuesday. We decided to park and order from the giant Kiosk. I ordered the 5-piece Crispy Chicken Tenders Combo which came with Fries and a Soda. I also ordered a Soft Pretzel Twist to go with it. It was easy to order at the Kiosk, but I had to repeat parts of my order a couple times until they got it right. You can Pay for it right at the Kiosk, but my card would not work in there. My order came out fast and I paid for it as the delivery guy had a credit card machine with him. My Chicken Tenders were a tad overdone, the fries were crinkle cut and were good. There was nothing special about the Pretzel Twist, it was ok. All our food was hot and edible but once again nothing spectacular. I give this Sonic 3 out of 5 stars. The presentation was so bad my Uber driver waited for ever as well as bringing it to me so burnt I couldn't eat it ! Then when I arrived back to get it replaces as I am mad . Took at least 40 minutes to receive our food after ordering! Smashburger was, burnt & no flavor. The two chilidogs were just barely warm. Fries were good. The runner "Jacob" was a sweetheart! PURCHEASED SMASH BURGERS IN AUGUST. Brought them back to this sonic to get refund the next day, they wouldn't give us a refund told us it hd to be returned the same day. Been calling their 1866 ok sonic number for months now to get a refund, no one will help. they keep telling us that someone will get back to us, which they never do. months later no help from management. Ordered on the app took 30 minutes to get out food. One of the items was a foot long coney dog, not sure what they did with it, could hardly take it out of the foil wrap because it was super hot, hot dog itself was burnt & the bun was hard due to being overheated. The other food was ok. read more

So I ordered on the mobile app and it says that your food should be ready for pick up within five minutes of the order so we arrived at three minutes till I checked in which is what you're supposed to do and we sat there and we waited and it was 20 minutes before we saw a young man His name is Ricky and got his attention and after we told him what was wrong it wasn't two minutes before we had our food so while the experience with sonic wasn't that great the experience with the young man working there Ricky was awesome. Oh and my wife wants to say that the food itself was pretty good so overall it was a good experience but waiting 20 minutes for the food wasn't great read more

So I was sitting in traffic and saw the sign, it had been quite while since I had eaten at a Sonic I pulled in gave the menu a glance ,the drive through was open but I chose the menu board, Placed my food order and in a brief minute the car hop was at my window! I just waited 15 minutes in the drive through at this place there was one car ahead of me when I pulled in. From my driver's window I witnessed employees literally doing nothing and engaging in conversation amongst themselves as the line continued to grow behind me. After being ignored for 15 minutes I decided to tap on the glass to get someone's attention. Upon doing so a young " lady" ran over to the window to attempt to berate me and ask what I was doing. . When I explained I was trying to get someone's attention she yells " that's rude and that's not how you do it" so I asked how I WAS supposed to get there attention behind a closed window. She then proceeded to tell me drive through wasn't her job and I should've just sat there quietly and wait however long they take. Then says" what were you waiting on" single smasher frys and drink " I answered yes. I just tried Sonic for the first few times here in FL. (I know, I know.) They make a great mozzarella stick, cherry limeade, and popcorn chicken. Their burritos and fries, not that great. But highly recommend the Walmart-then-Sonic combo. the 50s style drive in concept is really interesting and you don't see that at many other places. read more

The food...I do not know what high mucky muck decided that ketchup goes on a American Hotdog. I do know it had to be a 6 yo boy or a republican. yyeeech. Aside from having puree tomatoes it tasted just fine. The chili dog... perfect for floridians tasty and very plain chili... No spices here,no heat. LOTS LOTS of a salty dog . I've been to this Sonic about like 10 times and all the 10 times I've asked for buffalo popcorn chicken and they literally put like a dot buffalo sauce and even when you ask for extra sauce they don't give it to you so don't waste your money here read more

My family and I just left there and it was a waste of money! It started when the server came out with the food and asked what we wanted on the side besides the onion rings we ordered, because they were out. Why wouldn't they contact us and ask before our food was ready? So we went with fries and tots. We asked for her to bring ketchup and honey mustard whenever she got back with them, which was a few minutes later, but she forgot. I asked again for the sauce, she came back with it about 5 minutes later. My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders, but the hotdog felt like it was microwaved and our burgers were tasteless and not hot. This was only my third visit to Sonic the brand. The other two were in Panama City Beach and Fort Lauderdale area. I have not been impressed with any of them. We won't be going back. read more

This was the bacon off my BBLT sandwich being advertised and Bacon Double Cheeseburger. Discovered once home (10+ miles away). Half of the order was wrong and the food that was correct was horrible and made completely different than it used to be made here and is currently made in other locations. It took 15 minutes for someone to respond to the intercom and 20 after that to get the food. We tipped the carhop $5 and asked for more ketchup and he kept insisting there was plenty in the bag. We assured him 2 packets wouldn't be enough and he finally yet reluctantly got us more ketchup. I understand that things are busy and wouldn't have minded the wait nearly as much if we even got the majority of the order right. read more

The food was fine, no complaints there. My complaint is with the service. We tried to pay using the app. The app is very strangely laid out and a bit difficult to use. When the girl came with our food, I told her that I was trying to use the app, all she said was 'huh, it probably didn't go through on time, that'll be $14.26. We just gave her cash because she seemed very impatient. Even still I was going to give her a couple bucks for a tip. She basically shoved the change back in my husband's hand and stormed off. What's better than some stale and dry chicken tenders mixed with poor customer service and attitude? That's right! You guessed it! A dirty surprise when you're done with your drink! Just when I thought I got done with the worst part of my meal, I was enjoying just about the only thing I could. The cherry coke. After I was done with it, I decided I'd also go for some ice, so I took the lid off and... that's when I noticed a grotesquely unwelcomed surprise. A dead gnat or fungus gnat type of flying insect, dead on the inside of my drink. Now that's awesome! Now I don't know how many flying bugs I ate along with my drink, and I'd rather not know. Best part is I paid $8.09 to eat bugs!! Chances are this happens a lot and people just don't notice they ate them when they drink their drink with a closed lid. It's gross!!! They probably have an infestation in their soda machines at the very least. Who knows what else is wrong inside this fast food place! I ordered a milkshake and it was like milk no ice cream with strawberries and cheesecake flavoring it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. When I asked the manager if the milkshakes normally come out like that she says oh yes they are very thin consistency and I said okay well may I have my money back and she refused. The manager was very rude and a milkshake is not supposed to thin and the taste was terrible! Lesson learned never get a milkshake from Sonic! read more

I've eaten at Sonic the first time in Dallas Texas about 15 years ago. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. Can't screw that up too bad you would think huh? Think again!! It was so full of grease it actually ruined my shirt!! So 15 years later on Christmas 2015 I went with a friend for a milkshake. Really can't screw that up huh? Wrong again!! One of the biggest things Sonic is known for are their milkshakes. First we waited 10-15 minutes for someone to answer the pull up microphone then we are told we are out of Ice Cream and have been all day!! Seriously? Never again!! Not to mention they are way over priced for completely unhealthy and undercooked food or no food at all!
