I ordred a Vanilla Shake and added Hot Fudge Topping to it that costs extra, but instead I got a Hot Fudge Shake with no Hot Fudge Topping.

Every time I've been to Dixie Hyw Sonic location, the staff has been super friendly and working very hard to meet demands. The food has been fresh and delicious. And you can't beat their chili dogs! So nice not having to subtract items like onions or mustard! Not everyone wants that garbage. Sonic makes chili cheese dogs right! Just chili and cheese! And as for the 1 or 2 star reviews, some are straight up petty! Morgan...(Apr 9, 2026)... If you want your vanilla shake with hot fudge added to not be mixed in (bc that is normal when you add anything to a shake! You apparently wanted a giant hot fudge sundae!) You should be more specific and use your words properly by saying "vanilla shake with hot fudge just added on top but not mixed in".... The hard working friendly staff at Sonic doesnt deserve your rating at all! You got exactly what you ordered!!!! And no, I don't work there, nor do I know anyone that does. Amazingly slow but they do have signs all over saying they are understaffed. The slushy I had was very ... well, had melted a lot by the time I got it. I gave a few sympathy stars because they did warn us about staffing. read more

I just want to say that I have ordered chili dogs before at different places and they have been so bad. Yesterday I decided to go here and get a chili cheese dog because I was craving one. I was expecting it to be the norm of messy and everything. Oh my goodness!! Let me tell you you I wish I had of thought to take a picture!!! This was the best darn chili dog I have ever gotten from a fast food place. I wish I could thank the person who made this dog personally because you can tell that they took their time with this. It was so neatly put together. The hot dog was actually in the bun and not sliding off because too much stuff. The chili and the cheese was so nicely put on top of the hot dog and I asked for onions and they were on there so good!! And the hot dog itself was cooked great fresh and hot! I know this doesn't seem like much, but when you are paying money for something you expect for some quality with it and everything counts. I really like posting good reviews because I know the workers are pressured trying to hurry and get the food done and stuff but I truly thank the ones who do try to do their very best even under pressure. Alright I'm done with this place. I use to be a regular but I cannot keep telling these employees how they're supposed to make the damn food. I get a premium supersonic burrito every time. I love the staff, but darn it going up on ice cups us crazy. 4 route 44 cups if ice went from $2.00 to $3.00. Over night!!! ITS WATER AND A CUP. The bags if ice in went up a few cents.. I go there twice a day for ice. If sonic ups the price the employees don't get tipped. VERY GREEDY. Way to treat the staff. Please rethink the ice cup price. Sonic Drive-In - This is a corn dog they gave us - Burgers Near Me - Franklin, Ohio

My boyfriend and I came excited for a few shakes. We were told after waiting about 10 minutes at the speaker that they didn't have a car hop and we had to go through the drive thru. No problem. Then after waiting a solid 25-30 in a line that barely moved we were told at the speaker that their "ice cream machine wasn't working" and since it was all we came for we didn't order anything but still had to sit through the line since there was no outlet at this point in the line. Went through the drive-thru & ordered a chicken sandwich, onion rings, cheeseburger & tots. Everything was delicious with one exception...the cheeseburger had about a half cup of mustard (we didn't ask for extra mustard). It was literally oozing out of the sandwich. We used napkins to wipe off as much as we could. Really couldn't taste the burger - just the mustard. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. My husband was turned off by the burger but I'll be back for more onion rings! read more

Well. On our way home from Florida we decided to stop for 1/2 priced shakes for our 4 kids. Ordered at about 9:40 pm. It is currently 9:05 and the 2 people that ordered ahead of me still have not received their orders. We've all been sitting up front waiting. Workers keep coming out for smoke breaks and they seem to be catering to the drive thru currently. Some are inside on their phones, walking slow as hell, holy shit I'm about to lose my shit. There's 5 people working. If you come here because you hate free time and see that someone has punched through the order screen out front. That's probably from me and I'm also probably currently in jail for shitting on the side walk and then throwing it through their drive up window. read more

I don't eat meat often, but today I felt like splurging and have always enjoyed a sonic cheeseburger. This was my first time visiting this location. All I ordered was a sonic cheeseburger. DoorDasher, here. I was at Sonic picking up an order, today, when the manager and several employees followed a costumer with a complaint off the Patio to yell at him and threaten him with lawsuits. This went on for several minutes while the drive-thru line was wrapping around the building and anyone parked at one of the stalls had to wait. We rang for our customer's order 3 times before going to the door. After we dropped our customer's order off they called us to find out if we could get them in contact with DoorDash customer service to get their order delivered, again. We felt bad that a good portion of their order was missing, so we paused our dash and went back to get their food. When we asked to speak to the manager he said our customer was lying, said he packed the order himself (he did not, as he was outside fighting with another customer and smoking a cigarette when it was packed) and told us to "get a better f***ing job" when he was informed we were not getting paid to deliver the order a second time, just doing it out of kindness, before flipping us off and tearing the receipt off the bag when he was told we would be making a complaint for the rude behavior. Severely disappointed in the rude and unprofessional nature of the management at this Sonic. P.s., if this is deleted I will repost, as people should be aware of the way customers and delivery drivers are treated at this restaurant. read more

Unfortunately I haven't had sonic in a really long time and was extremely disappointed by not only the food but the service as well. It says they close at eight. After we ordered and got our food at the window they forgot my corn dog as well as a straw for my drink so we had to pull back around and it was 7:42 pm and they had a sign literally a minute later blocking the drive-through so my boyfriend had to push the sign out of the way to be able to get the rest of our food. Wondering why they are closing 20 minutes early. We had no other option but to move the sign because their doors and everything else is closed all of their pull through registers to sit in your car and eat food are all chained closed and one of the ladies of the staff proceeded to scream are you fucking kidding me because we had to move it out of the way to get the rest of our order which then tasted like hand soap. so extremely disappointed my lime aid tasted like syrup rather then what it's supposed to be I'm like so pissed beyond words. Horrible service! Ordered three drinks. Their Machine was down so I couldn't get one of them, had to substitute. That wouldn't have been a big deal except we got up to the window and the girl had wiped out our order. She wanted us to tell her the cost. I knew is was $3 and some change, so that's what I told her. Evidently she didn't believe me so she re-rang the order and tried to charge $6.46! I told her that wasn't right (it was happy hour) and she said yes it was. She finally fixed it. After 20 minutes in the drive thru we finally left with our order and the correct bill. I hate to do this but giving Sonic Middletown a 1 star. Have given this place many many chances to get our orders right and have yet to accomplish it. I love the drinks and ice cream treats. The food is ok, but I have never gotten a hot fry yet! Every single time I go there, the order is always always wrong. We even went there one time to sit outside and eat, and kept watching everyone else bring back orders that were wrong. Went there at 11:30 tonight, and the sign still said "open." The light was on inside the restaurant. However, the lights all around the parking lot by the carhop ordering were dark. I drove through the drive-through, and the menu was lit up. I asked if they were open a couple times, and got no response. At the window, I could see someone inside. Not sure if they changed their hours, but they either need to update their hours online and turn off their "open" sign, or pay attention when someone comes to the window. So disappointed! Had a great experience at a Sonic in South Carolina. My boyfriend and I both got bacon cheese burger, that was the best thing about our meal. The French fries and tatter tots were very greasy. You could tell the grease hadn't been changed in a while. They also tried to give him diet coke instead of a regular, which he had to go correct. We tried to order a milk shake and they told us they didn't make them! We ordered a chocolate malt, it was so bad we threw it away and went through Wendy's for a frosty. We love the food and menu BUT.......... One star is even too much, they don't even deserve that. 9 times out of 10 their credit card machine isn't working, the order stations are out of order and you have to move until you find one that works. If you go through the drive through they are so busy you wait for 30 minutes. They get more orders wrong then they do right. Are so short handed and so busy you have to wait an hour or more for your order even if it's just a bag of ice. The place is so run down their drive up window looks like it could fall out and it's hard to open. Half of the lighting doesn't work. I feel the store needs to be tore down rebuilt and hire a completely new staff. Unfortunately, it seems the corporate powers no longer care about this place and that attitude trickles all the way down the employee chain as well. read more

I have to say, the only thing we order from here are the tater tots, but they're pretty good! So I can't comment on screwed up orders of more regular ones. Ours have always been correct however. We don't live in the area and just like to pick up a snack on the way home after shopping. A couple of large tots and maybe a diet Coke from Sonic and we eat well on the way home. One thing I can say is we've always received courteous service, usually by a young female. I guess this is why the service is courteous. :) Whoever hires for this location does a good job at finding nice employees, that's for sure. Absolutely Horrible !!! So when you park at the boards after you tell them what you want it shows 3 ways to pay and one of them being the app. Well my friend and I chose the app. We looked for like 10 minutes and couldn't find it on the app. So when the girl brought our food (brought it out on a tray) we asked her about it and she said she had to go ask which was fine. Then she comes back out and says that we can't do that. Well my friend was like well can we just order it on the app since you already made it and pay that way. She was like yeah I think you should do that. By this time we already ate some of our food and drank a little bit of our milkshakes. The manager comes over to our car with the biggest attitude. She was like "you can't do that, or pay with the app at all" and just like anyone would I was like "Then why does your sign say it" and she just ignored me and rolled her eyes. Well my friend was like well we will go get a card because we didn't have enough cash on us. She was like "k but imma need to hold your food" She GRABBED the stuff out of our hands and like waved her hand telling us to give it to her. She didn't have a tray to put it on like how they brought it out she took it and threw all of it in her arms. Which with COVID you shouldn't do that at all !! We went and brought the card back literally like 5 minutes later and she still had the biggest attitude and she handed us our food and when most places aren't busy (which they wasn't) they remake the food. they didn't !! the shakes were all water down, the food was ice cold, the pop was watered down, etc. Absolute DONE with that place !! read more

This is probably the worst sonic Iv ever been to, I had to go back twice to reorder what I wanted and still couldn't get it right so I just left. The staff is extremely rude and they made us repeat what we said multiple times when when you could hear they were just having other conversations while we were customers ordering. My worst Sonic experience ever! I should have looked at the reviews first, but have never had a bad experience at a Sonic before. An employee was smoking in front of the store, as I arrived and still when I left. Another employee was smoking at the back of the store. Ordered a burger combo, with mustard. She said, "what?." I repeated myself and she said, "they all come with mustard, or do you want Only mustard?. I explained. I also ordered an ice cream cone. Service wasn't slow. But the ice cream was literally falling off of the cone as it melted. I asked for a cup of ice cream instead. The girl literally brought the same melting ice cream cone upside down in a cup. She also did not have $0.47 in change and was going to go back in and get it until I told her to keep it. The fries were not even warm. The burger was sloppily made and did not taste good. My kids order the same ice cream and slushie each time we come for a quick treat. However, our total bill is always different, varying by a few dollars. I typically pay in cash and have to give lessons on making change (I get short changed each time). Today my total bill was extremely off and when I asked the cashier to break down the charges, she eventually admitted she had upgraded my order to a larger size, because she thought I'd like it better.
