Crying 4 year old! You forgot the toy on a Wacky Pack, so for 30 miles I listened to a crying 4 year old. This was the last straw. After four separate visits, it's clear this is the slowest drive-in I've experienced in Texas. Every trip has been the same story -- long waits, missing items, and a general lack of urgency. And to make matters worse, not once out of those four visits was our order correct. Not once. This last visit summed it up perfectly. We waited, we checked the order, and still drove off missing part of it. The result? A very upset kid and a very long drive home. I understand mistakes happen, but when it's every single visit, it stops being a mistake and starts being a pattern. Speed and accuracy are the basics of a drive-in, and this location struggles with both. There are too many other options to keep giving this place chances. Unfortunately, we're done. To burn this location to the ground, and buy out the owners, wouldn't even be enough to start over! ZERO STARS because you made a child cry! read more

Walked over to Sonic and ordered; my pup kept looking for her friend to bring her a pup cup, so I pushed the red button and asked for one, and she said they don't do pup cups! Really!? Just spent $15 and I can't get a small cup of whipped cream for my pup?? Really? One food runner brought her a cup of water, so I'm not too mad. Okay, we have two Sonic drive-thrus in my town. This particular one is closest to my house so I always go to this one. Every time I go they messed my order up. So, I thought I would give them another try for the third time thinking maybe third time's a charm. Boy was I wrong! They never ever get my order right ever. How hard is it to put bacon on a burger seriously? So, I told them I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and there was no bacon on it whatsoever. So you know what they did? They just brought me a bag of bacon to add to my Burger. From now on I will go to the other Sonic that is out of my way but if I want my burger right I don't mind going to the other Sonic because they get my order right every single time. So, if anybody that's in Gainesville Texas please avoid this Sonic on California Street because they don't know how to get to order right at all. read more

This has got to be one of the worst run sonics around. Poor attitude from most of the workers. They rarely answer the speaker in the evenings. Tonight the employees were out back chatting it up and smoking. They did not take our order and did not get our business. Poorly run Managment. read more

We stopped today to get my kiddo a chicken dinner ((#11)) & when the carhop brought it to the car, grease DRIPPED down my arm into my leather seat, and onto my steering wheel and pants!!! DISGUSTING!... Before the carhop could nearly sprint away (may have been busy, even though I counted 10 cars while we were there) I tried to catch her and asked her to stop to get me napkins, which 1. Were not given at ALL with his meal 2. Were needed to sop up grease running down my arm and she never even turned around. I had to press the button again & asked for someone to bring me another box & alot of napkins & told them what they had served & explained the situation (spilled on leather seats, etc). Another carhop was sent out, NOT A MANAGER, & she tried to explain they had just changed the grease, which literally has ZERO to do with how a BOX is presented to a customer!!! I asked her if she'd eat something that looked like that, & she said she doesn't eat it at all! (wow) Photos of the disgusting pile of grease that ran into my lap and car are attached....p.s. management, or lack thereof, is pitiful, and passive & the food this time was soggy, unedible, & staff has absolutely NO pride in the way food is presented at this establishment... Don't get me wrong, I get its deepfried fast food, but cmon. The photos tell the story pretty accurately! The Sonic app does not work for your location. When we tried to ask about it the the carhop was rude. In the app the drinks are half price. Without the app it just is not worth it. We might as well have gone to McDonald's for a drink. There excuse was well weak not have certain items due to a shortage. Oh and their card readers don't work either. So 14 drinks at full price. I love the Sonic app so I can customize my order. Unfortunately, the people working there do not pay attention or just don't care. The past 3 or 4 times I've been there I've ordered a Dr. Pepper with cherries and they only give me one. Before this started happening, I'd get about 6 cherries in my drink. Just today I ordered a Dr. Pepper with extra cherries yet I still only got the one. It honestly doesn't sound like a big deal but I always look forward to eating the cherries when I finish my drink. Also, a few weeks ago I bought a large mozzarella sticks then got home and realized it was a small! Disappointing considering how expensive they are. read more

I don't usually do this, but I'm dinging a business because of something other than food. My wife wanted a Route 44 Diet Coke and a "Sundae Shake", at 6:00PM on a Sunday (i.e. not even close to closing time). We were told that the ice cream machine was down for "cleaning". Really? Her consolation prize ended up being a cherry turnover at nearby Arby's, but she really wanted that shake. Bad move, Sonic. Prime time on a hot summer day is NOT the time to clean the ice cream machine. At least the Diet Coke was OK. read more

The absolute worst sonic I have ever been to. Waited over 20 minutes for a burger and wings while the parking lot was visibly empty. When received my wings they had no sauce. Extremely disappointed in the quality of food served at this location, and with the attitude of staff. Situations like this require an option to give less than 1 star. read more

Stopped in on the way from Galveston to Tulsa after fueling the car. We didn't want to spend the time at a sit down restaurant so we stopped in to grab some munchies and back on the road. The service was screamingly fast and the food was hot and fresh (Not hanging out under a heat lamp waiting for the next sucker to drop by). Took about 5 minutes to answer the call light which should have been our first inkling that this place sucked. Took another 15 mins for the food. Wife's tots were cold and super salty, my onion rings were not salted at all and they skimped on the number which sucks. Strawberry limeade was all limeade, no strawberry. 1 napkin in the bag and 1 ketchup after asking for "some". Looks like this place is trying to cut corners/cost. If we don't get a foodborne illness I will consider this a win...and obviously I won't be back. read more

I would score lower if I could. The sonic on Grand Ave and the one on California both SUCK! They charge way too much and they NEVER EVER get the order right! Always something different than what we order and something is always forgotten or left out of the bag but, you can always count on them to charge you for more than you got! They only seem to hire high school students that don't give a crap about working they are LAZY and they always seem to make their own hours. I WILL NOT EVER EAT THERE AGAIN! read more
