Food was good and portions are very generous. Staff is always super sweet. I would recommend their take on the huevos rancheros. It was a bit spicy and had a kick. Their sweet breakfast items were good but are very sweet. Oreo pancakes and French toast in particular, but it is a lot of food so just keep that in mind. I like that it is so close to my house so will be back if I'm ever craving brunch in the area. read more

Went for brunch Sunday and it was great! Southfork Cafe was super busy. We were seated right away & our server, Eli, immediately came over. He brought us menus & water. We ordered coffee. Their cappuccino is so good. Then we ordered breakfast. Over easy eggs were delicious & my husband's extra hard cooked scrambled eggs were perfect. Ham & bacon were good! Grits and hash browns delicious. Biscuits and gravy were very good too. Too much food. Everything was served hot! And came out in a timely fashion. Eli, our server, had a great personality and smile. He was on top of the service our entire visit, eventhough it was very busy! It is a great family restaurant and good for groups. read more

6/11/25: This was my first visit. Went with my neighbor and his son. This is where a Cici's pizza used to be, next to Lowe's. Michael was a great host. He was very friendly and attentive. My neighbor had French toast, eggs and bacon, his son had a Patty Melt, and I had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with fries. All of our food looked good. My sandwich was good, but it could've used some more meat, as the bread overpowered the sandwich. The fries were good, and well seasoned. The restaurant was very clean, they have an extensive menu, and there was plenty of table and booth seating areas. They have an all day breakfast menu. There is no alcohol served here, although they have a "bar" seating area. There was plenty of parking outside. read more

Cute place, loved the decor. Service was prompt and friendly. Our booth was a little bit of a tight squeeze and I'm not a super large person, so that part was a bit uncomfortable. There wasn't a way to push the seats back a little. I am pretty sure that could be adjusted because the rows of booths directly behind us had more room. Food was good, my daughter got a kids burger and it looked delicious, the party was large and juicy. My husband ordered a chicken wrap which he loved and while my plate was good, I will say the biscuits and gravy could have been warmer and the sausage was a bit sparse. But overall our family really enjoyed the experience and I'd go back. read more

A quaint little place that serves both Breakfast and Lunch at a great price! A large menu that's sure to have something for everyone! Breakfast was wonderful (didn't get pics), the food was hot and fresh!! There's so many breakfast options from eggs, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, to steak with your fav sides... #nojudgement! Last week, we ordered the avocado and chicken wrap, that was (very large) delicious and fresh (needed a togo box)! Today, we came for lunch! We both ordered the chicken strips w/ fries and a salad. The salad was big (for a side), fresh with a great mix of fresh ingredients. The chicken was not our fav, as it's cooked frozen and was way overcooked and super crispy. The (crinkled) fries and country gravy were both good. Our server was Fernanda, she's a sweet and kind young lady. She knew the menu and was attentive. While there, a server delivered an incredibly beautiful breakfast dish that caught my eye, so I just had to snap a picture (with their permission, of course!) - see below! We will be back to see what other favs we can find... as good service is so important (& getting harder to come by), and this place will welcome you and treat you like family. The interior is well lit and has a bright vibe. It was busy but thankfully there wasn't a wait at 12:30 on Sunday. Service really couldn't have been better. There was no shortage of employees and multiple staff came by to take finished plates and refill drinks. No coloring child's menu available but they offered crayons and coloring sheets. The child's French toast was good and included a drink and bacon. Regular pancakes fed two kids.(I would request they go light on the chocolate chips next time.) Eggs Benedict was good and came with a side. IMO Drinks are a tad pricey at $3.99 for bottled OJ. Was hoping for a mimosa but no any drinks on the menu. read more

Came in for breakfast this morning and it was a great experience! The staff was extremely pleasant, greeted us upon entering. Gerardo waited on us and was wonderful! Efficient, great customer service and personality! We ordered the gyro omelet (I added spinach and feta cheese), hash browns & pancakes & the salmon skillet. Walked in Southfork Cafe in Murphy this morning wanting a little breakfast for my wife and myself and was told "sit anywhere we'll be right behind you. Didn't happen, we set down to a dirty table and immediately became invisible to anyone working there. We set and set watching people getting waited on, served their breakfast and checking out. Waiters continued to walk past us with no acknowledgment that we were there and table still dirty. Place wasn't very busy but apparently too busy to even clean our table or bring us menus. After awhile we got up to leave and told guy just standing at register we were leaving and he looked shocked we were even there. I guess our cloak of invisibility wore off and he acted like we walked up there to pay. No apology or squat about their terrible service. Won't be back and have removed from our list of top breakfast places in Murphy, Wylie and Sasche. read more

This is your pretty standard upscale but still family oriented diner, with it's unique selling point being the renovated Cicis interior for those old enough to recognize it. That plus the name indicates they plan to settle in with the locals, to which I say fair play. The service we had was quite good, with our main waiter fairly quick to take our orders, refill coffee and offer any aid but what makes it great is the staff who independently roam to help bus, deliver checks and make sure you're all set while your waiter is busy elsewhere. I don't know if it was intentional but it was a smart play during my visit. As for food, their dishes are fairly standard affair. The poached eggs were smooth, scrambled were done right, smoked salmon was still moist and the hash browns weren't too crispy. As a traveled foodie, I would appreciate some seasoning plus more hot sauce options than just Tabasco or Cholula, but I can understand appeasing the lowest common denominator. Overall there's no reason I wouldn't return here, and for however long it's been open, I only suspect they'll get busier from here on. If you're looking for a solid option for you and the kids, why not here? read more

Fantastic. Best Huevos Rancheros I have ever had. Perfect toast, hash browns,and bacon sides.

Loved this place! The decor gives it modern vibes, but still has the diner feel to it. We were seated right away. The food was delicious. Chicken fried steak was a giant portion. I recommend sharing it. Buffalo wrap had ALOT of chicken in it. I had to take the second half to go. Service was great. Arrived at Southfork Cafe on Monday afternoon around 1:00 PM. Cafe was not at all busy. The interior was well maintained. I ordered an omlete and grits with a biscuit and coffee. The omlete was, as advertised, thick and generous in portion if just a little oily. Grits were again a generous amount but a little salty. Service was very attentive without being obtrusive. I do plan on trying other menu items when I return. read more

What a first impression! We tried Southfork for Sunday brunch, and it was a great experience all the way around. Can't say enough about the friendliness of the waiters and staff...so refreshing to see all the smiles and people who seem genuinely happy at work. The atmosphere is clean, bright, cheerful & welcoming too. As far as the food, we tried the Down South which had eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy, and plain crepes. Everything was cooked very well and had great flavor. I'm especially picky about biscuits & gravy and usually disappointed...but not this time! Yum! Great breakfast/brunch place. Had a long night prior to getting breakfast the next day so I ordered the steak and eggs, which was phenomenal as they actually cooked my steak medium rare. Service was pretty good. Food was just OK, nothing special really. I ate there at lunch and had a Cobb salad. Veggies were not very fresh, chicken was somewhat overcooked but had decent flavor. I never had a Cobb salad that didn't include boiled egg until now. I really missed the egg. Without it the salad seemed incomplete. In one word the entire experience was "meh". Expansive bar top where you can watch the kitchen work, but no one was seated here when we came in. There were tables available on a Saturday morning around 9 and plenty of staff to make the visit pleasant. If you want good service and a variety of food options, this is a good place. We had the Mexican omelette with chorizo. It was lacking flavor. The biscuits and gravy were decent. The pancakes were my favorite item. Chewy and buttery with crisp edges. We've been to Southfork Cafe several times. Each time we have had great food and even greater service. On one visit we had my less than 2-year-old great-nephew and his parents.
