Ordered a regular latte and my husband ordered a salted caramel latte and both were delicious. I don't like sweet drinks and don't think his was too sweet but rather very rich and delicious! We also tried the cheddar/chive/bacon biscuit, the cherry granola bar, and the oatmeal cream pie. All were so fresh and delicious! I had my neice and nephew with me and we were on route to Oklahoma City. I love a mini road trip and stoping by the small towns or cities along the way to discover new coffe spots is a favorite of mine. I wanted more than a Starbucks latte so I yelped for a local coffee shop. Sweet Jaynes was a very aestheticly pleasing environment. They had a mini but very thought out food selection and pastries for sale. I ordered their holiday drink and I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was not overly sweet. They always have a great selection of pastries from cookies to quiche. They also have protein packs and several kinds of chicken salad for lunch. Their coffee is great. I am a newly converted fan! Like so many locals, I have fallen in love with the delicious foods at this shop and the especially delightful owner and staff of the shop. I had met the owner a while back while I first worked in coffee in Keller, TX. I had been waiting forever to try this place and I'm so glad I got the chance to and finally did! I got a quiche, a spicy pig pastry, a cupcake, and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was so delicious and pleasant to eat. The business is thriving and I'm very happy to see them grow. Love this little shop. She makes the most amazing cinnamon rolls you will ever eat, usually on Saturdays. Her cranberry orange scone recipe is to die for. And the spicy pig biscuit (pimento cheese, bacon, and hot honey) will keep you going all day. Their coffee is excellent also. A joke! They advertise already on the highway, without a website, phone number or address. Prices for their baked goods are way too expensive and not a good selection either. One can get brownies, cookies, or even a lemon square everywhere. Don't call yourself a bakery if you have no decent cakes in your store. Not worth visiting. read more

I was in need of a pick me up before my 6+ hour journey back to San Antonio, so my wife and I decided to give this place a try. I got my wife the Honey Badger Latte and myself the upside down vanilla caramel latte. I loved mine! It actually tasted like coffee and not like what they have at other chain coffee stores. It was perfect for my taste buds. But that is not the best part... The barista was very friendly. When I first walked in with my 7 year old daughter, they were very friendly. They even gave my daughter a quarter to get a gumball from the gumball machine. I was not expecting that at all. The inside was very clean and inviting, but also made you feel welcome. But still, that was not the best part... The best part is what I bought with my coffee... The Oatmeal Creme Pie! My wife and I have been to many places, and we are always searching for the places with the best food items... We are still searching for the restaurant with the best lasagna but one of the things we look out for is the best oatmeal creme pie. I believe we have finally found it! The filling was light but the perfect sweetness... The cookies that made up the sandwich were moist and delicious, but the perfect density that held the sandwich shape throughout each bite. The employees were very kind when I was honest with them about my little experience with coffee products. I wanted something simple but mocha flavored. The drink was VERY satisfying. It had a fresh, real coffee taste to it... unlike many drinks I've had in the past that had a synthetic taste to it. Didn't know it was possible for coffee to taste fresh until I tried this place. I absolutely adore Sweet Jaynes! I love the beautiful and relaxing vibe of the actual shop but the food is even better! I can't get enough of their orange cranberry bread. I had a cinnamon roll for the first time a few weeks ago and I don't even like cinnamon rolls usually and their cinnamon rolls changed me for the better! I have been thinking about it ever since I tried it, they are THAT amazing. My boyfriend loves the oatmeal cream pies as well! As for the coffee, I love the iced honey latte and the iced upside down caramel vanilla latte as well. The staff is an absolute pleasure every time I come in. The manager is so kind and personable. I can not speak highly enough about how awesome this place is. I always bring any friends and family that come to Gainesville to grab a coffee and sweet treat at Sweet Jaynes. I have loved Sweet Jayne's since they opened! Each time I am lucky enough to get some tasty treats from there I am amazed! They have exceptional customer service and for me that is very important! The owner Carri goes above and beyond to make her customers happy! She is so kind and can bake like no other! I love her Oatmeal Cream Pies, they are delightful with a cup of coffee! Another must try is the Pecan Pie! Oh my goodness, it's delicious! The chicken salad is AMAZING! My daughter and I will drive from Denton to get it! We typically buy two lunch packs (served with crackers, cheese cubes and grapes) and then get a pound to enjoy for the upcoming week. Do yourself a favor and stop at Sweet Jayne's! read more

I've wanted to try this place for awhile after seeing their posts on Facebook- but made a specific effort when I saw that they donated any leftover products the women's shelter in town. They only serve fresh same-day goodies. Be sure to like them on Facebook to see what they are serving each day and to get a heads up on half price sales (usually at the end of the day!) This is a beautiful, calm and relaxing place. The coffee and baked goods are fresh and good. My only criticisms are: the tables are a little too tall for the chairs (or vice versa) and they need a large menu board on the wall behind the counter. This would speed things up by allowing patrons to make their selections while waiting their turn in line(also, helps us old folks who don't see so well).
