The food was horrendous I will never in my life spend another dollar with sonic I spent 17 dollars and threw the food out after 3 bites

I placed an order through uber eats and was not only missing one of my items, but one of my drinks were also wrong. I tried to call the phone- no answer, so I drove over. These people had customers sitting at the drive thru speaker- completely ignoring them. Not even saying a word, so I pulled into a stall and pressed the button. Apparently every website that has them listed as closing at 1 is wrong because the person on the other end of the speaker said they were closed. I asked for a manager contact because my order was sent out wrong, and he got rude and told me that after delivery orders leave the building it's "no longer their problem"... like what? YOU got the order wrong not the delivery driver. He told me the general manager would be there the next day and then in an impatient- snappy tone gave me the phone number. I don't understand why these people work customer service when they lack it so much. Do sum else. Disgusting. read more

Went for a bag of ice. A BAG OF ICE. I was the only one at the drive through....... By the time she took my order, 25 MINUTES had passed. I kid you not. There was a very long line behind me; several people actually pulled out & left because they waited so long. By the time the girl took my order, 25 MINUTES had passed. Once pulling to the window, it was handed right to me. To wait 25 MINUTES while NO ONE was in front of me is ridiculous & so uncalled for. One of the most ratchet places I have ever been to with their slow azzes and their rude ppl at the sonic drive thru. One young man came out to see what we ordered and he was a I'm sweetheart I think he may be the manager but whoever the girl is that is taking orders at stall #5 needs customer service presentation because she acts like she got her manners from sears and roebuck! It has been three years since my last review, and boy......let me tell ya, I'm going to schedule myself for a cat-scan because I decided it would be a great idea to try this armpit again. I suppose if "consistency" is a metric we would want to use to use to measure quality, then this place does not disappoint. It is slow, dirty, poorly managed, and as awful as it's ever been. I think you would be better off purchasing some of the local opioids here in Gastonia, getting racked out of your mind, and then just eating gravel. I wish I could leave 0 stars. This is the worst place ever. I don't come often but when I do it's always 30 mins. Dosent matter what you get. I'm surprised they even have 1.5 stars. That's to much itself. They messed up my last order terribly. They have to mail me a gift card instead of just giving me a refund. Then they put 2 free drinks on my account to make up for the extra few dollars they owe me and then I go to use them and I have to buy something and can only use 1 at a time. I AM DONE WITH THIS LOCATION!!! The manager got in touch with me about my previous review and offered to replace two milkshakes. I went in, unsuccessfully, to do so. That's just the beginning of my problem. I ordered two combos, a footlong coney medium, and a popcorn chicken large. When the order arrived I said to the car hop, "those are small drinks! What size are those?" The carhop said they were small, looked at the receipt, and sees we paid for medium. The car hop offered to replace the drinks. It was a while before she came back. I was about to leave when I see her come back. She says they (I don't know who) "said you paid for smalls. Sorry," and walked away. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one wasn't available. This is such BS for a few reasons: Sonic does not sell "small" combos. My receipt matches the menu prices for medium combos. I was charged an additional $1.00 for a large combo when the menu says $0.90, so in addition, I was overcharged $0.10. Not a big deal, but how many people is this happening to? It adds up over time. I filled in the form online to contact corporate, and unlike last time, I have not heard back from a regional manager. read more

WHY ACCEPT the order if you are understaffed and can't push it out. I drove 20 min to this Sonic last week with my grandsons bc they really like Sonic. We were told that they weren't serving bc their computers were down. We just returned to the same location and were told that they were only accepting on line orders. No napkins. Ordered a Chili Cheese Coney Combo, & some burger on Texas toast bbq sauce with onions ring. No onion ring, lettuce was brown & soggy, but the meat tasted old. After spending $18 and some change for a hotdog and burger we decided to get our money back. the guy sitting outside ask if he could help us with something we told him how the food tasted strange he offered to cook the food over and we just politely told him we just wanted the money back. You can watch the video and listen to his reaction after accusing us of eating a "good bit"of the food. We took ONE BITE. After arguing with us about re-cooking the food, we ask him to look at the sandwich and see if he would eat it. He said the lettuce was brown because of the barbecue sauce. Not only is this place slower than any other sonic, they shut their ice cream machine "down for the night" with 2 hours of them still being open - went at 830 on a Wednesday and they're open till 1030. If that wasn't bad enough they said their slushy machine is broke and they don't get a new one until OCTOBER This place is useless. read more

My order should have been prepared by this time. My mom finally had to go get a worker and our drinks around 8:00. In the kitchen, another employee was vaping. If I could do zero stars I would. I give this place a chance multiple times but EVERY time my order is wrong and I go home with most of my items but the wrong sandwich or wrong drink. There is something off with this place. I've tried it several times and it's not good. The food is often cold. They upcharge you without asking (example order a combo they will upgrade you to a large and not ask, but charge you). They don't give you condiments or straws even if you order them (nothing out of the ordinary...think ranch for your nuggets). Food takes a very long time to come out whether you preorder it, place it at the mic or do the drive thru. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Do not do it. I will not be back. read more

The service is slow and the managers don't care about there service. I used the app. To order two shakes to be ready for pick up at 5:20pm on 6/26/2020. This was done at 5:10 pm. I arrived at 5;30pm. The shakes were not ready after talking to the people twice and the manager once i just left after being advised by the manager that i had to call corporate which i did. Don't even bother pulling up here. They have no staff half of the time and the food has been garbage llately. I sent my son to pick up something for me as I was sick with the flu. 1st, they couldn't make and orange cream slush, fine. Next I wanted a bacon burrito and the bacon was old, it was cold and just thrown together (clearly this person didn't know how to roll a burrito). Then the tater tots were old, cold and stale. They had old French fries mixed in as if some scraped the bottom of the barrel instead of making more. Lastly, my son asked for ketchup and salsa, didn't get that. If I weren't so sick, I would've driven back just to throw it at them. They really just need to shut down. But, I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. read more

I wish I could do zero stars. This Sonic is a joke. The staff is rude, disorganized and completely oblivious to customers. I am a doordasher and I had to call my customer three times because the Sonic staff kept telling me the customer cancelled their order when this was not the case. The order finally came out 25 minutes later...mind you this order was a burger and a hot dog with a sundae. When the order came out there was no sundae and the carhop said the customer did not order one, when it was clearly on the receipt. She then stormed inside and never came back out, I called the store and had a 10 minute conversation with the woman inside and finally at the end she said they were out of ice cream. This is only half of the story but my thumbs do not have the energy to continue typing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this Sonic....you would regret it. read more

The problem I had is when they came they had all of my shakes/blasts wrong. They also didn't give me some of my food. My food was cold and they didn't give me the sauces I asked for.
