Keep in mind, the menu is small and simple, but they have perfected their craft. The lady who took my order was very kind and efficient, and my food was ready in no more than 3 minutes. I went at lunch time during the week. The food is on the more expensive end for sure, so keep that in mind. The food court in which Harriet's Hamburgers lies is a very modern, clean, upbeat area in Charlotte where everyone has a smile on their face is having a good time. The family wanted to visit here Optimist Hall for lunch and I decided on Harriet's. The line was long upon approaching, so I hoped this was a good sign! After scanning the menu, I decided on the OG Burger to keep it simple. I did take note that all items are sold separately if you want fries and drinks. The menu doesn't have a massive selection, which can be easier for me at times. Since I ordered the side of fries, I also grabbed the sauce bundle for a fry party! The sauces were ok, but I don't think I'd purchase them again. The burger patties had good flavor and paired nicely with the fresh onions on the burger. The cheese was melted and layered between the patties bringing it all together. To me, the fries weren't as fresh as I would have preferred, but overall did enjoy the burger from here. I hadn't intended to eat in a good pavilion today, but we ended up here. I landed on Famous Harriett's Hamburger Sandwiches, not expecting much. It was an excellent burger. Sometimes simple of the way to go. Lettuce, American Cheese, tomatoes, crinkled pickles, onions, and their "good good sauce." I consistently eat here for lunch bc I work so close to optimist hall. The fries are always fresh and that patty is delicious! I do something feel like it's a little salty sometimes but when paired with everything it's not too bad. The customer service is always friendly. I live super close to Optimist Hall, so it's been on my radar for a while. This particular night I wasn't feeling great, so I DoorDashed instead of dining in. I ordered the Royale with crispy fries and let me just say... I get it. The burger was genuinely impressive. The quality of the beef stood out immediately. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The meat to bun ratio was spot on, which is crucial. Nothing worse than a bread heavy burger. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, the build was balanced, and even after delivery, everything held up beautifully. So far I've tried two burger spots in Charlotte, and this one takes the top spot. I'm not ready to declare it the best in the entire city just yet because my burger tour is ongoing, but right now it's leading the race. I'll definitely be going to Optimist Hall soon to try it fresh off the grill and experience the service and atmosphere firsthand. Expect an update. This was my first time here. I work in the neighborhood. Customer service needs work. They were not busy at all. It was a lot of standing around but no service being provided. I stood at the counter for about 4min before I was greeted. I don't go to Optimist Hall often but I always noticed Harriet's. They're right next to the entrance by the parking lot and there is usually a healthy line of people waiting to order. Service is good, their area is clean and they churn the burgers out in pretty timely fashion so the wait isn't too long. The first time I tried them, I grabbed my burger (with fries and some kind of cola) and found an empty bench seat. The burger meat was great, the fries good, and I really like their different sauces. However, I didn't love the bun both times I tried them. And the cola (it's not Pepsi or Coke) was just okay.
