Went to the Collingswood, NJ location last week. Ordered medium chili cheese fry for $5.00. I received (litteraly) a palm size amount of food. I returned it. Went to the Cinnaminson location today to try the new bacon double smash burger. The burger was tasteless. All I could taste was cheese with an unpleasant taste of pickle. On the burger was one small slice of tomato and very little lettuce. I would have to say it was the worst burger I have eaten. The price was $8.29. Does this franchise have any idea how much they are charging for the product they are supplying? Stay away from Sonic food. One plus, they have great onion rings but it is not worth the price by a mile. read more

The food upon coming to this location surprisingly was not good. In the past this was a place where food was great ,food was freshly made to order. Now it was lousy medium warm at most. The fries were crust ends , super small krinkle cut. Poor quality. The coney foot long hotdogs was in the warm tap water to long. The bun was falling apart. Was there last night (Friday 24 Jan 2025). We ordered online (not the app). We parked in the pick-up stall as directed to when the order was placed. We sat in the spot for about 30 minutes waiting for our order to be brought out to us. We finally called to see what the delay was and the lady who answered the phone kept saying that we should have put the stall number in on the app when we arrived. Every time we explained that we ordered online and NOT the app (at least 4 times), she kept repeating that we should have put the stall number in when we arrived. We even tried to explain that there is no way to do that with an online order. It seems as if she either couldn't understand or didn't care that there is a difference between the online ordering and using the mobile app. Either way, her attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable! The worse part was that we could see them looking at us through the window but no one thought to check and see why we were waiting for so long. The guy that finally bought us our food was nice and he understood the problem and did appologize for the delay. But overall, the nasty attitude of the woman on the phone was enough to prompt this review. Sonic, sync your online ordering and mobile app so that when ordering online you can check-in when you arrive or at least put the phone number on the pick-up stall signs and inform customers to call when they arrive to avoid delays in the future. This could have been avoided with a little thought and knowing that ordering online and the app are completely different because I'm quitie sure that we weren't the first people to have this issue. read more

Consistently a pretty good bet for some quick food that's different than the standard offerings at other national chains. The team here seems to enjoy what they do and they provide decent service. I like sonic because its a different experience than your typical NY fast food. Its a drive in, drive rite up to your own personal ordering window and then wait for the waitress/waiter to roll up on there skates with your food. They also have tables outside for those who don't want to eat in there car. Sonic has burgers, chicken, hot dogs, tater tots, a large variety of shake flavors, frozen drinks, breakfast and dessert. I tried there new pretzel dog, was really good, topped with bacon and cheese. I usually go for a burger, which is also always good! My girl got a Philly cheesesteak and it was huge! LOVE SONIC......we were road trippin so of course we had to add Sonic to our trip planner, turns out there was one near our hotel. Are we all familiar with Sonic's awsum set up??? Okay let me give you a quick refresher. Sonic is a "drive in" fast food spot. Each parking spot has its own drive up ordering screen, they "roll up" and bring your order to your car....literally. Servers here are all on roller blades. They also have some tables outside, but no indoor seating. Menu is AWSUM, burgers, phillys, hot dogs, chicken and breakfast. They have these new pretzel dogs, bun is a soft pretzel and dog is topped with cheese and bacon....DELISH! I had the philly cheesesteak for the first time, it was huge!! Soft bun, meat was tasty, onions were correctly grilled, and it was just cheesy enough (hate it when they go crazy with the cheese). I was only able to eat half! After 8.......half price shakes!!! Kind of like a long happy hour.....LOL. They have like 25 different flavors, we got peanut butter and bacon......yes you heard rite. Our server told us its really popular, and we know why.....its like adding salt to peanut butter, so maybe like a peanut butter pretzel type taste, or like reese's peanut butter cup. It was out of control good! We also had there Turtle Molten Cake (listen we were just tasting and packing things up for our hotel, we weren't having an eating competition), they have a few different types of molten cake choices, all looked delish. Finally, a Sonic that doesn't require a half a tank of gas to get to! The sonic commercials have made my family sonic junkies, prompting a drive to Ephrata for a birthday meal one year. No longer do we have to drive to Vineland or Bensalem for our orange creamslush. Sonic has heard our pleas and opened one that doesn't require a fight in traffic or a $4 toll. The food is typical fast food, although the full menu is available all day, which is awesome for someone like me who prefers a larger meal for breakfast and cereal for dinner. Highlights include tater tots, tater tots with cheese, tater tots with chilli, cheese and onions, and something like 138,000 different drink combinations. (Seriously - that's right on their menu.) They just opened on the 11th so they are still getting things worked out, but stop on by for your cherry limeade (and tater tots) today! After being bombarded for years by this chain's commercials with nary a Sonic less than two hours away, my fiance and I pounced on this Sonic location as soon as we heard that it had opened. This is a gluttonous American's dream. We pigged out on burgers (the bacon-cheeseburger was especially satisfying), things that looked like the wrap's more delicious older brother, and milkshake-like concoctions that we couldn't believe existed. The drive-in factor definitely toyed with my childhood memories of A&W stands, and that just made the whole experience ever better. The best part? The liquor store next door. While we noshed eagerly on previously unexplored fast-food fare, a giant inflatable beer bottled taunted us with the knowledge that we'd be ending this adventure lazily perched on our sofa with Sonic leftovers and a 18 bottles of cold beer in three varieties. read more

I went to this Sonic yesterday at the drive-up window. They have a wide selection of two items and drinks it's hard to choose from. So I decided to get a strawberry banana milkshake and tater tots. The person that took my order didn't understand what I was saying I wanted the milkshake extra thick so it wouldn't melt so fast and I wanted hot tater tots. So he kept asking me the same thing over and over I said forget it waited patiently for my items to come out to me. When my items came out my milkshake was watering the tater tots was high but I asked him again I wanted my milkshake thick. He told me because it was so hot out here that the machines was melting the ice cream fast which didn't make sense but I said okay but I don't want this milkshake. He said okay I will take it back and when he came back my milkshake was thick but my tater tots was cold. But, I was, for some reason craving a chili cheese dog, and someone at work reminded me that there is a Sonic right next door, and they have chili cheese dogs. So, here I am. It still trips me out that Sonic is like a modern sock hop, and the employees seriously wear old school roller skates. As far as the food goes, this trip was much better than the last one. I have no idea how the staff deals with the fluctuations in visitors. Sometimes this place is dead, sometimes the line nearly causes accidents on Route 38. Regardless, I've never had slow service. The staff here are very polite. This place is a time saver. However, most of the food messes with my tummy--and not just mine, others have complained as well. If you won't have time to chill out on the toilet for a while, avoid. However, you should ALWAYS stop by for refreshment. They have fab beverages and you can mix in your own flavors. Sonic's onion rings are THE best! Their burgers are pretty damn good too. I was a little disappointed with my vanilla coke though. It tasted more like the pre-made vanilla coke you could buy in the store than a plain coke with a shot of vanilla syrup in it.
