It's been a few months since I last ordered a dish of ice cream here. I had some today and I think they changed the soft serve. It's now less like ice cream and more like cool whip and a tiny bit of ice cream mixed. It wasn't very cold and didn't seem to be melting. I hope they change it back to all ice cream. read more

We go here because let just be honest, it's the last thing open in this town. Sadly it's a rarity that our order is correct in the evenings. Mornings are always great, but in the evenings, it's always a wrong soda or two, or messed up burger. It's unfortunately just consistently bad in the evenings. Update: You hope at some point someone in some sort of management level at the restaurant reads the reviews and seeks to improve things. Once again I went in the evening and ordered a large chili cheese fry and two of the chili cheese Fritos burritos. The chili cheese fries (pictured below) are literally less than a quarter full in the container, and the burritos were mainly Fritos and cheese with very little chili. I honestly don't understand the lack of care or pride in anything from here. Sonic is fast food in a park, order, and eat in your car/truck setting. The staff may wear roller skates which I always enjoy. The menu is very calorie driven so it's good to pick what you really want. I do enjoy a milkshake once a month. The hours are very open and it's a fair late night spot. Highway access is at times a bit congested to get in our out. Parking is a bit narrow for a large truck but works with care. Enjoy! read more

I wish I could give this Sonic a 0 star. First of all, every time I come, and have gotten a slush, I ask for easy syrup.. they must take this as a joke because every time I have gotten it, it's extra syrup.. so much syrup, that I have thrown multiple drinks away. It feels like they disregard my request completely, which is extremely frustrating. Second, my food is consistently cold, especially the fries and tater tots. I sometimes get a feeling that they must be microwaving my food, yuck. Third, I had my friend in the car and when we were ordering our food, my friend changed his mind at the last minute and told the employee to change one item of his order. My friend started laughing because of his indecisiveness and apologized for making him change it. The employee wasn't talking on the loudspeaker anymore.. we didn't know what had happened.. next thing we know, the manager (same person that was taking our order) came out to our car and said "I don't have time for this. Are you on drugs or drunk or something??" Neither my friend or I have ever done drugs in our lives and we both don't drink alcohol either. I was so shocked that anyone would accuse my friend and I of something like this, we left immediately and didn't come back for a few months. Now, this was what made me write this review.. I came to get Tuesday night 1/2 price burgers and we went home to eat. As I was eating my meal, I got closer to the bottom of my tater tot container and noticed something that looked strange.. So I took out the rest of the tots and poured the crumbs (along with the strange item) onto a white piece of paper so I could inspect it. I looked at the piece under a light and immediately I felt sick to my stomach. It was most definitely the leg of a cockroach. I was so repulsed I threw my entire burger in the trash and lost my appetite for the night. I will be calling corporate to let them know how filthy this place is, and I will NEVER be coming back. It's only 2 stars because I got a refund and the manager was very professional and polite. If anyone wants to go to this sonic during the night hours I am warning you, drive the 30 mins to whataburger in cedar park don't waste your time. Cold burgers cold fries cold chili cheese tots nothing was done correctly. On top of that I was charged for a burger I didn't even order and didn't even receive it. This has always been my go to place during the lunch shift and that crew is awesome! If I were the store manager I would offer overtime to the lunch crew who deserve it more seeing as my food runner was stoned I could assume the whole staff was but who knows. Well it's Sonic; sometimes they get it right and sometimes they dont. Check your order. Many times they forget the condiments. They seem to focus mostly on drinks (slushes, shakes, malts, etc) But of course there are burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and tater tots. I like the chicken fried steak sandwich and get that with a side of gravy and eat it like a steak. I like the footlong cheese coney (messy) and the Chili Pie (served like a hot dog); My brother said the spicy chicken was too salty. They also have some great desserts. Dont forget the value menu items and kid items. (corn dog, grilled cheese) If you are headed toward Marble Falls this is the last food option for the next 45 mins 20+ miles. read more

Happy Hour at Sonic. I can recall living on the west coast and not having any Sonics. But I never considered it one of my picks for quality food, or even ice cream. Instead, it's a great place to drop in quickly to grab a large thirst quenching beverage. My fave is the RT44 Diet/Lemon/Cherry/Lime Aid. These tall elixirs are made with real limes and real lemons and are a panacea for HOT Texas days. Other combinations; Low Calorie Diet Cherry Limeade, Strawberry Limeade, Apple Limeade and Cranberry Limeade, Raspberry and Peach Iced Tea. There are plenty of junk foods, ice cream shakes, sundaes and cones, to chose from, but I seldom partake. But the best thing is, they have a happy hour everyday, from 2 - 4, when every drink and slush is half priced. And I take full advantage of pulling in, pressing the order button, and saying, "give me a diet cherry lemon lime RT 44 please." They deliver with a smile, every time. read more
