I'm not the best person in my house to review Sonic, as my wife stops here approximately 67 times a week. I can freely exaggerate that figure because I'm sure she'll never read this. That said, the food is good if you like Sonic, the staff is friendly and the service is good. Swing through the drive through during 2-4 happy hour or before 11:00 for drink specials, subject to change I'm sure. This location's pre-11:00am happy hour seems unique and generous. read more

Came on two separate occasions, waited 30 mins for my food both times. Then when I open my food the chicken tenders are as thin as my finger. Nothing but straight bread. No meat. This location needs to look at the Raymore location and be like them cause whatever they got going on here is not it. read more

I strongly recommend going anywhere else than trying to get anything here. The only reason I go is because it's the closest to my home. Food almost always disappoints me. i went to the drive through on ralph powell rd in lees summit this morning. after waiting a very long time, no one took my order. so i drove away and as i'm coming up to the window the african american manager is hanging out the window talking to a person in a car. i put my window down and say why don't you answer the microphone. the manager yelled extremely loud "fuck you" at me. nice response for a manager. if you some people to come to the facility, just put up a note that says i don't want to work today. and keep screening F words at people and see i'll make sure your fired. read more

I waited for nearly 20 minutes to get service on my one hour lunch break. No one ever answered. I watched multiple customers drive off because they couldn't get service either. One man spent nearly 5 minutes outside the drive-thru window honking to get someone's attention. This is the 3rd time I've experienced this at a Sonic location and the second time at this specific location. I saw an employee servicing another vehicle when I pulled in and I could also see an employee inside the kitchen when I finally decided to drive off. Ordered through DoorDash. The dasher told us that Sonic would not give him marinara for mozzarella sticks unless it was on the receipt. DoorDash only gave the option to charge for an EXTRA sauce. The dasher told us that. Thennnnn I did not receive my slush. We drive back to the restaurant and the GM (Charles) was terrible. He was rude and argumentative. He blamed the dasher for all of it, even though the dasher was messaging me the whole time apologizing for Sonic. The staff at Sonic came out saying that Charles is always rude. This will definitely get reported to the franchise owner. He was beyond unpleasant. He was raising his voice at us just asking for sauces saying that he can't give any sauces if it's not on the receipt. Do you not get sauces automatically going through the drive-thru?! He says that the slush machine is down...sooooo the option was to not give me a drink or report it through DoorDash at all?! DO NOT GO HERE!! Sonic, fire Charles! We specifically asked for a GM and he sent out a bigger teenager like he was scared cause we were angry. Horrible leadership. Your other two staff were amazing though. This sonic is pretty good in the morning, but in the afternoon service is horrible. I was told by an on site manager that when they get busy they don't take orders in drive thru. Went to this Sonic location this evening after a very long day. Our order consisted of a super Sonic bacon cheeseburger with mayo only, a foot long chili cheese coney, and 2 large tater tots. Total came to $20.23 and I rounded up and paid $21. Fast forward 10 min after I leave there and get home. Go to the kitchen and the order is completely wrong. I had two small tater tots instead of 2 large, the chili cheese coney was missing the chili and the cheese so it was just an extra long hot dog in a bun, and the super Sonic bacon cheeseburger was missing the bacon but had a ton of onion on it. By this time it was not worth my time or gas to drive all the way back there, but lesson learned. We will not get food from this location ever again. And then after waiting all that time I get to the window, and the girl at the window, I think her name was aiyana, decides to give me all this attitude, for no damn reason. I went through the drive-thru one night to get Cherry Limeades and was randomly asked "Would you like some Cheddar Bites with that?" I thought this was weird because I had never been asked this question before when ordering, but I was kinda already thinking about getting some anyway, so I said yes. When we pulled up to the window to pay, they hand me the cheddar bites and I try one while they are getting the drinks. They were HARD and ICE COLD. I tell the kid thats working the window that they're cold and disgusting and he says "Oh, sorry, we'll make you some fresh ones". When I was 19 and on summer break from college, I worked at this Sonic location in the kitchen. I know for a fact that every time someone orders Cheddar Bites, you take an order out of the fridge and drop it in the fryer when it's ordered. You never drop an order and then sell it later. These kids were obviously trying to get rid of an old order, which is why it was randomly offered to me. Don't act like you're doing me a favor by offering actual hot food after you tried to screw-over a customer. This is just one of many examples of this Sonic location's incompetence. I used to really like Sonic. I grew up in a small town where it was one of the few restaurant options, and we were fine with that. This particular Sonic location ruins it for you pretty quickly. I'm hoping some new management takes over and it becomes an option once again in the future once they're done running it into the ground. read more

Ordered a cheeseburger. Bottom bun was hard and cold. What I assume to be a manager came out and looked at me as if I was crazy. I have a 3-strike policy before I do a review, but this is by far the WORST fast food I've ever attempted to eat! Tonight, I ordered a #4 bacon cheeseburger without lettuce and onions, fries and a Route 44 cherry limeade. When I got home, the burger had tons of lettuce on it, one shriveled piece of bacon and soggy bun. It was dry and disgusting. The fries where hours old. Hard as rocks and half were warmer burned. Gross. I immediately called their number to tell them to stop serving the fries to the public and to discuss that this is the third time they'd got my order wrong. However, no one ever picked up. I called again...still no answer; which was upsetting because there was only one car in the parking lot when I left. The meal was over $10 and was an absolute waste. Slowest sonic I have ever been too. Ordered a shake and onion rings for my wife who is at home. Pulled to window they handed me the shake closed the window. 17 mins later the window opens sorry here are your onion rings. By this time the shake is all melted.
