I've always thought of Culver's as a step above spots like McDonalds, Wendy's and Hardee's. But over the last year or so leadership at this chain have shown they only aspire to McDonald's quality of food. Concretes are consistently delivered already soupy at all locations... not just at this location. The diversity of flavors has been collapsed for typical choices and a small home burger joint feel has been lost. I always came for a Blackberry Banana concrete... now I it's very infrequent. Soon they won't be able to charge prices any higher than a typical fast food. At least for now their service is better as in the general cleanliness compared to other fast food establishments. read more

For starters our order was totally messed up. We didn't receive items we ordered and were charged for items we didn't order. The onion rings were very nasty. Culvers is my favorite fast food. The burgers are always good. Tonight we decided to DoorDash them. I ordered a single cheese burger, onion rings and a root beer along with a kids grilled cheese, fries and tea. I also ordered a pumpkin concrete. Our order came quickly and was still warm. The kids meal was good. My burger was yummy, but they sent me fries rather than onion rings. That was pretty disappointing, but the missing pumpkin concrete was even more disappointing. read more

Had a great drive through experience the other day at this Culver's. I found myself very hungry and was going shopping at the legends so, I decided on Culver's for a quick snack. I was initially disappointed that the hot honey cheese curds weren't back like the internet told me. But, the thought of those soon faded away once a butter burger was placed in front of my face. The kids meals at Culver's are amazing and even though the menu reads for 12 and under I've never had an issue ordering them for myself. For a little over $7 (total with taxes and all) you receive a single butter burger with cheese and any other toppings of your choosing- pickles are a must- and a small side of crinkle cut fries as well as, a little drink and the best part of all- a small scoop of custard with any topping! Also, pro move is ordering a side of boom boom sauce which is creamy tangy and a little spicy due to peppery kick. The food at Culver's is extra fresh so, they ask you to pull forward with a number and wait for your drive through order. It didn't take them long though to deliver my food to the car. Once it arrived, the lacey patty of the smash burger was piping hot and the buttery pillowy bun was still warm. It was a heavenly fast food experience. The zippy pickles were the perfect tang of acid against the rich buttery burger and melted American cheese, it doesn't get much better than this. Crinkle cut fries can either be S-tier or they can be dismal, these babies were crunchy crispy and had all the nooks and crannies to catch that boom boom sauce. They were pretty much perfect but, could use some more salt. The custard topping this time around I picked was heath and I truly believe it's an underrated ice cream topping/mix in. read more

A little tradition has been building where we go to Great Wolf Lodge to break up the winter. Unfortunately, there's not a ton of great options to eat both at the Lodge and around the Legends, but Culver's is a crowd pleaser on the 1-2 times we visit it each year. My kids love their burgers, and I have to say, I do too. They are really juicy and flavorful for a fast-food burger. They patiently wait on standby for the frozen custard at the end, naturally. The other thing I noticed this time around is that the staff was very friendly here. They were super fast with everything, smiling, professional -- good vibes especially for a fast food restaurant. My girlfriend and I had no problems here and I was glad to be able to get a vegetarian meal (the Harvest Veggie and fries) in several states so far while driving across the country. I must say there are not many fast food joints that are in their league. Be warned, it won't be cheap, but you get what you pay for. Let's be clear, their signature butter burgers are mouth-watering, but the shrimp, honey, umph is unbeatable...always piping hot, huge in size & oh soooo crispy & the cocktail sauce sets it off! My experience at Culver's is usually pretty good, and this location was no exception. I liked the friendly and fast (six minute wait) service, and the delicious grilled chicken sandwich, with moist, tasty, premium breast meat. Unfortunately, the fries were overcooked. I had high expectations of this Wisconsin chain that features Wisconsin's famed frozen custard and the also well known butter burger. First, mass confusion when I tried to order a plain vanilla dish of frozen custard. I'm assuming most people order the "concrete" which is custard with mix-ins. The texture is very similar to Wisconsin except for numerous ice flakes and the absence of vanilla going for the less expensive artificial flavoring. They'd do better leaving the flavoring out and call it sweet cream because the stuff has a horrendous aftertaste. Alas, Wisconsin and it's myriad of frozen custard stores. I miss you. We go out of our way to go to this SPECIFIC CULVER'S because of The Josh. One of my mom's favorite catchphrases is: "Well they're not hiring Harvard graduates at {fill in the blank with whatever fast food chain with a drive through}. The first time we went here we were just seeing how it was and we drove up to the speaker to order and we immediately hear "HELLO YOURE ON LINE WITH THE JOSH, HOW MAY I ASSIST YOU TODAY" We look at each other We look back at the speaker We order our food and he is ridiculously nice and gets everything perfectly and is happy and cheery and generally great. Dude works at a drive through and is clearly an amazing person. We heard that. Through a DRIVE THROUGH SPEAKER. My mom leans over and says "I guess they ARE hiring the Harvard graduates at Culver's?" We go back specifically for The Josh. Every time I have gone, I've been on my way back from hours of athletics, so Im always tired, but he instantly improves my day every time (and when I was going fairly consistently he worked a TON). The food is really good for a chain, so honestly it has never been an issue to just go to Culver's instead of another drive through, but I've accidentally trained myself (or been trained? idk) to prefer Culver's, so when I have the option, I go to other ones as well.
