This location seems to get all bad reviews. I pulled in and had to pass by two different spots that said the chip reader was out of order. Then I parked and was going to order through the app to use a reward but it said this location doesn't accept mobile orders. Then I used the ordering system only to find the screen said it needed to reboot so they would have to come get my card and run it inside. Just don't have their act together. It's Sonic. The food and drinks are what you expect. read more

Worst Sonic BY FAR! Wait times are horrendous and have been this way for years. Even if you order ahead on the app, you still get there and wait. The staff pads their numbers by telling the system the order is ready and on the way out but 5+ minutes later, you're still waiting. Avoid unless you have no other options! read more

Was in line at sonic tonight about 6:45 on Gilmer Road. ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Got to the window and paid not long after that several cars came behind me and I also saw someone bring the cashier a bag. it sat on the counter for several minutes while he was taking drinks to the cars behind me. he knew it was there because she handed it to him. When he gave it to me I told him I would be reporting this and he said you can get out of my drive thru. read more

What a joke. There is nothing like waiting for 15 minutes to get an order of French toast sticks at the drive through when there were no other customers at this restaurant. The only other person who was eating was the person who took the order and only after she was done eating then the French toast sticks went into the fryer. read more

We waited over 30 minutes to get our order. 30 MINUTES We finally drove off. They said they'd check on it but never got it. The owners and managers should be ashamed. This Sonic I'm always slow. Rude employees and almost always screws something up. I love Sonic but I will NOT be returning to this one. And will let everyone I know not to go here. Customer service is always horrible, places order last night through app went to go get my dinner for my children and the lights were out and they couldn't make my order but also couldn't refund me, the next day still no refund or apology just them saying there's nothing they can do about it call the number at the bottom of the ticket that I never received because I never got an order! read more

I tossed my receipt so I don't remember exactly what day this was, but it was several weeks ago. I was having a bad day and went through this Sonic to get a small meal. The man at the window (Timothy?) was jovial and, in a playful manner, tried valiantly to convince me to switch my fries to onion rings. My wife and kids went here this afternoon around 6PM. The lady in drive thru was talking on an open mic, swearing, talking about sex etc... did not even notice that my wife was there for 5 minutes (yes we reviewed the dash cam footage to verify)..my daughter finally had to run to the drive thru window and tap on the window to get their attention to place an order... service here has been bad for a long time. read more

Looking at previous reviews, sadly nothing has changed with this Sonic. I moved to the area 3 months ago and was glad to have a Sonic close by. My first visit was fine, a few weeks later- disastrous - and it hasn't improved. Poor service (20+ minutes in the drive thru), incorrect orders...the last chance happened today----ordered a regular cheeseburger w/mayo & no onions...got what looked like a junior burger, smashed so flat that measuring a half inch tall would be a stretch, of course it was missing the cheese & had a couple strands of wilted lettuce but tons of onions. After the 20+ minute wait for this gem, I was told they were waiting on my fries. Nope- they were stone cold. Please don't fib, especially after asking for my bag back twice to check the order. I was already home when I could check inside the burger wrap- so I added my own cheese & lettuce, scraped off the onions & warmed up everything up in the microwave- yuk. If I had the time I would have driven back and threw that bag back thru the drive-thru window! I suggest not paying for it until you can confirm it's correct....Sorry Sonic, no more. read more

This location is okay, mainly because of its proximity to our home. Many times the orders have been incorrect, even though I give the order and it is repeated back to me properly; it still manages to be wrong by the time I get it. If we get our food through the drive-thru we are not surprised if the orders are wrong but we still take a chance occasionally. A few times my burger has been so salty that it tasted like someone had the top come off the dispenser while salting it. In fact, the salt got to be so heavy so often I now always specify "No Salt!" when I order. We used to go to this location fairly often since it's easily within bicycling distance and our schedules have often been extremely busy and a quick meal was needed but these days we very rarely go to this location. The prices are constantly rising (but all restaurant prices are), and if it costs the same as another restaurant nearby we prefer better food and more careful order-taking. It's a shame that franchisees spend so much on a business only to have employees screw it up by being careless. Perhaps it is their lack of proper training or supervision but either way it amounts to throwing money out the window. read more
