Out of all the area Sonics, this one sucks like a brand new Hoover. I can't tell you the number of times we've been in the drive through in excess of 30 minutes or more. Several times we've just pulled out and left, whether we placed an order or not. Which is a shame, because, when you can actually get it, the food is pretty good. Anymore, if we get a craving for a foot long or a cherry limeade, we bop on up to the one on Hwy 20. It's pretty much the same distance for us. Went there and they took literally forever to get our food then ordered a cheesecake shake and tasted like chemicals. We went back up there and this girl hung her head out the window and then turned to give me an oreo milkshake instead but she shoved her fingers in the milkshake and ate an oreo with NO GLOVES. Also ordered a turtle milk shake and they pretty much gave me a cup of ice cream putting only a few toppings on the top and like five toppings on the bottom. Hey to my local Sonic! Look. Yes, this location is very slow - it's true. But here's the thing. This location is SO BUSY and they just don't have enough people staffed - yet the people who are there are working HARD. The food is really good, hot and fresh. The people are always friendly at the window and not stressed considering the demand. I'd be beyond stressed and I'm sure people are not always considerate of the wait. I don't mind waiting for great food and thanks to everyone who is showing up everyday and doing a good job!! I love to get a corn dog with my son on Fridays. Appreciate you! read more

The sonic in owasso on 86th St has gone down hill. I waited 20 minutes after pushing the red button and no response. I walk up to the door only to be told that they were short handed as I watch two cars that pull up and order and get their food and then drive off. I was told that there would be coupons in the bad and just as you think I was lied to. Apparently the sonic at 86th St north does not want any business. There are other places in Owasso to get better service. And to top it off the order was wrong. read more

After I've had a bad experience somewhere I always go back couple more times to make sure it just wants an "off" night. Well, at this sonic location on multiple occasions myself and every other patron have waited OVER 30 minutes for our orders. They have even stopped taking orders and encouraged other people to cancel their orders, with NO compensation for time waisted or offering to comp meals. Looks like a bad management problem to me. read more

My only advise is only get a shake or drink here. I ordered about $20 of food for 2 people and it was just unedible. Tots that had been double fried. Tots that are left under a heat lamp and dropped back into a fryer to warm them up. Chicken sandwich that my wife refused to eat by just looking at it (Kings Hawaiian Crispy Chicken Sandwich). The food came out in like 2 minutes... It takes chicken like 6 minutes to cook. Not cooked to order. I've heard Sonic strive to make their orders no longer than 2 min and 30 sec... Waited over 30 minutes for 5 soft drinks I had ordered through the app. It wasn't even that busy but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt with it being 5:30 pm. Took 10 minutes to place an order for just myself. I was ordering at the center area by the outdoor seating. The person on the other end just kept asking me to repeat my order. I asked for a #1 with hickory sauce. After asking me to repeat twice, she asked me if I wanted a double cheeseburger. Which is a #2. I even asked should I just step inside and place my order. But apparently she couldn't understand that either. She was also trying to ring up everything individually. Just as I was about to give up and leave, she turned it over to someone else. Obviously not taking orders or really working. I could hear them cussing. Even before COVID they would take over 30 minutes to get you one drink. This sonic has been god awful forever! I waited for 45 minutes at one point just for them to respond to the drive in button, I even called them to ask what was taking so long. They said they had limited staff so I thought whatever and continued waiting until someone pulled up to the spot in front of me and immediately got service after waiting maybe 2 minutes. We decided to give this sonic another chance because it's on our way to the highway but while waiting in the drive thru the line did not move AT ALL for more than 20 minutes. So we again just left and will never be returning. I will never waste my time again for this sonic. read more

All three Sonic Locations in Ponca City are a great place to stop in for a bit of refreshment. The entire menu is served all day: because sometimes you want chicken and onion rings for breakfast ;) The addition of the concrete mixes and creamy slushes keeps us coming back for more. And who can resist Happy Hour and it's half-priced drinks?! You'll love the carhops...be sure and tip them well...they run hard for the money!! read more

Order a chicken dinner with gravy as the sauce. Didn't get the gravy. Pushed the button and right away they answered. Diana said it would be right out. I was very polite as it was during a rush. I waited 10 minutes and nothing. Pushed the button and another 5+ minutes go by. Nothing...There was an older lady running food to the car next to me. I said ma'am politely and she turned and said "yes" and before I could get a word out she put her hand up and said "it'll get here when it gets here" and walked away. She then made 2 more trips to the same car next to me...it's a cup of gravy. Mind you I'm still waiting for someone to answer...after 15 minutes of more waiting Paige (who brought me the food originally) finally answered the button.
