Getting 1 star as you can't give zero. This is our last time going to Sonic Palmdale. Horrible quality and tasting food. Not only that they crushed our tator tots. The burger was greasy, bacon was burnt and tasted old. I've had our order mixed up with other people's orders and drove all the way home in Lancaster to find I got chicken sandwich and not my burger!!! Twice!!! Never going to waste 30 dollars here ever again! Waited 30 minutes for crappy food. I threw my disgusting burger away, my husband ate his. Don't go to this Sonic ordered just a Sonic cheeseburger when they had me my food why is it a cold slice of cheese. When I ask for a new burger because you obviously gave me a cold patty the young kid with glasses asked the girl what did he say , he then proceeded to laugh call the guy from the back to come up and see who is asking for a new burger and I can clearly see the whole staff laughing because I am upset with my order and the fact that my cheese wasn't melted. The worst service ever. Then I ask for a refund because who in there right mind would eat it after you made a spectacle out of the situation and the refused to give me a refund. Service was very good. First we decided to park in the drive up area and order from the self service menu boards. They were so filthy & disgusting, that I didn't want to touch the button to order. So, we pulled into the drive thru line & placed our order. The girl at the window was so sweet & accommodating. The food was mediocre at best. My son enjoyed his chicken strips, but said the fries & toast were cold. He enjoyed his chocolate shake. He said the honey mustard dipping sauce wasn't very good. The sauce is important. I had a burger w/tots. The burger was pretty good. The tots were room temperature & tasted like they were fried in old oil. I didn't like the flavor of the ranch dipping sauce. Large Oreo Reese's Shake. That is all.... Took the plunge and decided to go on a Saturday night which was definitely not ideal if you are looking to get something fast. In their defense, there were llan insane amount of cars, but they handled it fairly well. Got my daughter a small Oreo shake and of course I went Large and had the Reese's added in. How can you not like a milkshake with cookies and candy mixed in? Only reason for the 4 stars was because the wait was legitimately long. I know they did their best, but the anticipation was killing us... Definitely need a better strategy for those Saturday night rushes. Staff was nice and looked like they were all going as fast as they could, which was appreciated. We will definitely be back and give the hot food items a whirl. read more

Does this place have a manager? I love the slushy drinks but this place is a mess. Never enough staff most of the ordering panels are broken or in poor condition. I tried getting the app to minimize my wait time but the app very rarely works. It takes your order and charges you but does not let you check in when you arrive. Very frustrating. read more

Horrible customer service! I thought I would give them another shot but this location is the worst in every state ive been to. I waited in line for since 9:10 pm(they close at 10pm) I get to the speaker to order at 9: 43pm just so they can tell me they wont take anymore orders. She said they are backed up 20 minutes. However, almost every time we went there was something wrong with our order - cold food, wrong drink, etc. And ordering through the app wasn't any faster than ordering in person. Another place that is starting to go downhill. They keep getting our drink orders mixed up (slush vs cream slush), and last visit, they did not give us our tater tots at all. This, after they originally thought I ordered mazarella sticks - how do you get mazzarella sticks out of "tater tots"?? The mozzarella sticks were gross, tasted like school food. The chicken tenders were okay, edible but not savory at all. The tater tots were also okay, not the best but not the worst. When this Sonic's first opened about 10 years ago (the first in LA County if memory serves correct), the service and staff were incredible. Easily on par with In N Out or Chil-Fil-A. They were over-staffed, and had your food & drinks to your car in under 5 minutes, and the drive-thru was incredibly fast. As the years have gone by, the staff continues to shrink, and the service is by the far the WORST of any fast-food chain, hands down. As other reviews have said (many), the wait time at a stall can be anywhere from 20min to a full hour, no kidding. The last 4-5 years, I stopped coming for this reason alone. After a 2 year brake (last time I came here, I asked for a full refund on my order, after waiting 30 minutes for a soda that never came) , I came here yesterday around 4pm. About half the stalls were full, and the drive-thru line did a full 360 around the building. So yes, it was busy, but I figured "I'm only ordering 1 soda, it shouldnt be long." Boy was I wrong! 25 minutes to get 1 route44 Cherry Coke. There was only *1* employee on roller skates handling the stalls. It was 4pm on a Friday...and yes, 1 employee outside! Long story short - don't EVER come here, unless its late at night on a weekday. Even then, youre risking 30-45 min wait. I hope that corporate reads these reviews and does something about it, because the service here easily takes the #1 spot for WORST in all of Lancaster/Palmdale. read more

The drive through order took so long. Ordered our food through the intercom and sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for delivery. It's hot and sitting idling in my car was not fun. BUT the food was so damn good we will forgive the long wait in the heat. My first time here I ordered snickers or something close to that , blizzard. My boyfriend got a corn dog and onion rings. Their telecom does not work. Their drive through takes an hour with out any customer service or attendants helping you. If you drive to the window after waiting the 15 minutes for no one to answer they will not take your order unless the car behind you complains as well. They make you wait even longer for your food for a fast food chain it should not an hour and a half to go through a drive through. There is no accommodations and they barely will take your order. Their manager who came back from some break also does not want to help or figure out what's wrong with their drive through process. They obviously don't care about their customers or their customers experience. There were so many cars in line as well and they told us it was our fault we had to drive to the window. They clearly asked us what we wanted and then proceeded to the window as if we didn't ask for a minute to look at the menu or say hello 50 times till the cars behind us were screaming at us to move forward. They also won't take your order at the window even though you waited for ever and it's clearly your fault. Worst experience. They also offer nothing to make it quicker or something for your time. What! THE!! HELL!! We drove from San Fernando Valley to try this place!! Pressed the button and waited for (not kid you 25 min) and then pressed again 10 min before closed the button stayed flashing. All lights go out and we press it again for the third time. We get an answer back stating they are closed. And we told them we have been here 25 min they said no we have not. Never coming back to Sonic ever again. My money goes somewhere else. As a business owner I would get rid of whoever did this. Try something better and more customer friendly. The reason for this very poor review is due to the app and management. You're supposed to be able to use the app for 1/2 price drinks anytime. But the app never works. When my husband approached management and showed her that we were trying to order on the app, but it wasn't functioning, she still wouldn't honor the 1/2 price. She told him he could wait around 15 minutes then place his order during regular happy hour times. For months, we didn't go to Sonic at all. Recently, I attempted to place an order through the app, thinking that maybe they'd worked put the kinks, but again, this is all I get when trying to place an order. This is an update. Came to use my free milkshake w/purchase reward. I received this reward for the horrible milkshake from my previous visit. I ordered the milkshake and it was good. With it I bought a foot long chili cheese dog with the addition of mustard and tomatoes. It came with Mayo instead of the tomatoes! I'm done with this place!
