Ordered a simple kids meal with applesauce and a #2 no pickles or tomato with a root beer. My root beer tasted like water, my burger had one pickle on it and the bun was so stale it was hard. SONIC is always my first (and last!) stop when traveling south. The food is always piping hot, made-to-order and the service is friendly. The loaded tater tots (topped with chili, cheese and onions -- if you want) are my all-time fav and are a meal in itself. The hot dog (American for me, please). Wash it all down with an order of ice cold Cherry-Limeade and I'm good-to-go. For breakfast, there's a vareity of breakfast burritos (I prefer sausage) and Toasters (thick, Texas toast sized bread) to choose from. Yum! To top it off, they offer breakfast all day. This has to be the slowest restaurant in town. Could be one car in front of you are drive thru and you spends at least 15 minutes and atleast 5 min before they even acknowledge that you are waiting to order. And God forbid you pull in stall! They never answer those once the red button is pushed. I used to go there EVERYDAY sometimes 3-4 a day and I have gotten to the point that I would rather just go elsewhere than to be treated like my business doesn't matter. Stopped by for a snack after church drive-thru service was terrible and that's not the usual norm for this restaurant. They have some of the best food in Rockingham but today they were not on their game I truly home it's not a new trend. I just went through the drive in and ordered three milkshakes. when we got to the window the girl didn't even open the window. she was on her own phone for 10 minutes before she even made our milkshakes. my boyfriend said "you should check your statement on your phone, she looks like she don't know what she's doing" and she didn't. she charged me more than she was supposed to and caught an attitude when i wanted my money back. read more

Their customer service was awful. It was the Monday after the hurricane....I understand it may have been they're first day back up and running, and to be fair they were very busy BUT my son and I were very rudely overlooked. First, we went to the play area..... Nobody would answer us through the ordering window so we then went to the ONLY table at the front of the store. We ordered.... They never stated there was a wait time. We saw people in the drive thru come and go. Even the people parked ordered, got food, ate and left as we say there waiting. Nobody seemed interested in asking if we were ok.... So I stopped 2 staff members. The first said she would check on it then never came back.... Even went as far as to walk out opposite side to avoid us. The second lady was just rude! I told her I was sorry, I saw they were busy...I just wanted to make sure we hadn't been overlooked. Finally another girl came out (it was her first day and she is the only one who actually acknowledged us!) After 2 hours we got our food and had to eat it in the car otw somewhere else. I was trying to reward my son and this is what we got! If I hadn't already paid we certainly would have left. And they could've at least offered us at least a free drink while we were waiting, but we didn't even get an apology!! read more

I love Sonic burgers! The onion rings here are great. Fast and friendly service, as usual. I recommend mustard on the burger instead of mayonnaise... And the lime slush is fantastic. My kids love the chili cheese tots, the New York dog and the pickle-o pickles. (Fried pickles) read more

Great job, Sonic employees. We are visiting from out of state, on our way to Myrtle Beach. We stopped at the Sonic in Rockingham for lunch and had a great experience. The food is delicious and the employees were very nice. We will definitely be stopping here again on our way back home. read more

Don't go through the drive-thru. They won't fix the intercom so you have know idea what is being said. Also, for a place called Sonic it has really slow service. read more

The fires are cold the food is not nearly as good as most of the ones I have been to I hate going to this sonic
