I was very impressed with this location. I was walking to go pick up my car at the repair shop behind the Tega Cay Sonic. The nicest young woman took my order and served me on the patio. The cheeseburger that I was served was perfect... Just the right temperature, the toppings were abundant and fresh, & the bun was just right! I didn't get her name; but the lovely person who served me had long black Senegalese braids. The world would surely be a better place if there were more folks like her on our planet! She was so kind and caring. I hope management recognizes her as the treasure of an employee that she is. Because of her, and the delicious burger, I will be coming back again and again! read more

Popcorn chicken was cooked a long time before we ordered it. It had that leftover warmer in a microwave taste. Two of us had the tots and were both sick the next day. Thought they were a bit undercooked and now believe they caused us to have an upset stomach. read more

The service was good. The gentleman at the resister was really nice. They've also renovated the inside dining area.. but the food... omg.. our food was so cold! The cheese wasn't melted on the burgers.. the tots and fries were cold as well. No wonder the food came out so fast! read more

Poor service speed and quality control. Waited over 20 minutes for our food after ordering at the drive thru. Waited a total of over 25 minutes for food from entering their lot to leaving (and they didn't appear busy). We had a relatively small order (4 burgers). This was honestly the worst "fast" food experience I've ever had. I sat in the drive thru with two cars ahead of me for a good 3-4 minutes and it never budged. I then pulled to a drive up thing. I placed my order pretty promptly there...now the nightmare begins. Teenagers out of nowhere in trucks. They revved their engines, yelled at each other while also dropping F bombs. I was honestly terrified. I rolled up my windows and didn't make any eye contact. I was so focused on my safety that I didn't realize how long I had been waiting for my food. 15 minutes for a burger and shake! I pressed the button and no one answered. I saw one of the employees in the parking lot talking to a couple at one point. I finally pressed it again And said cancel my ordder and then I left. Not sure if they even noticed or cared. Honestly I hope the owner knows the status of this place. I'm not a frequent sonic goer but maybe once every 3 months I want a specialty drink or some tots. EVERY TIME I go to this location I'm placed on hold to order and it takes 15 minutes for them to take my one item order in the stalls. I've tried the drIve thru in hopes it would move faster since I am only ordering one thing. No one answers at the order box, I wait and give up and pull to the actual window to place my order, and wait forever there too so no matter which way I try I'm waiting too long because no one is ever taking orders. I can understand operating slower if you're short handed. But I can see at least three people in the building on my way leaving the location and there were only four cars at the whole place. One person should be taking orders, one cooking, and one delivering. This is a sad excuse for a sonic - why reopen the place if you don't have the capacity to run the location. What the hell is going on inside the place that is causing such slow service. Are you cooking with a heat lamp and making drinks on a slow drip? read more

We have been to this location several times and we run into the same issues each time. When you ask for things like ketchup packets, salt packets, and extra napkins you shouldn't have to check your bag before you drive away to see if the employees were doing their jobs. This location has great potential, but its chances of being a place you can count on to get the order right is diminishing. We have actually made a game out if it. I hate having to give anyone a one-star rating, let alone a Sonic. I've given them several chances over the last few weeks and unfortunately somehow it always falls short. I will say that the food, when they get it right, is delicious. But it's the "getting it right" part that falls short. I've never had an issue with the service in terms of the people working there. But I have never, not once, gone through the drive-thru and had my order delivered correctly. The problem then is that you usually make it home by the time you realize something is not right and it isn't worth driving back for. This past Friday night, we all wanted Sonic after our daughter's soccer game. On our way to Sonic, my wife used the Sonic app to place an order to be picked up. When we got there, the order had mysteriously been cancelled (even though our card was charged). This was actually the second time that has happened. So, already being in a stall, we pressed the red button to order. It flashed for 10 straight minutes with no answer. Finally, we made a last ditch effort to use the drive-thru. There was one car in front of us, and one car behind us. We all sat there for another 15 minutes with no one taking an order. All three cars left the drive thru without being helped, and we all ended up at McDonald's. This Sonic location has gone out of business once already and I would hate to lose it again. PLEASE, if the owner is reading this.. this place needs some serious help. read more

Went through the drive-thru for dinner tonight. Sat at ordering speaker for a few minutes before someone answered and asked me to "go ahead with my order", so I did..... sandwich and fries, 2 combos and a shake. Easy nothing special. Then a minute later, I was asked to repeat my order again. Wow! Don't ask for my order if you aren't ready to take it. So I repeated. Only special thing was a Dr Pepper with no ice (they give you wayyyy too much ice!). Get to the window (there were just 2 cars ahead of me) and the girl at the window hands me a drink, this one has loads of ice. I wave her down and tell her "supposed to be no ice", she takes it back and brings me a drink no ice. But it was a Coke, not Dr Pepper. Again waved her back and told her Dr Pepper not a Coke. Third time got it right. Rest of meal was fine. Employees are definitely not thrilled to be there, can see it in their attitude and the way they react to customers. This location has rude employees and do not care if they wait on you or not. Do not try and order a "special". They will say "its over". I feel like its personal now, twice i have tried to order a car hop special and dude said its no longer on special, but yet the sign says it is. The breakfast special is by the drive thru speaker, yet its over and the "manager" can't sell it or push the buttons to make it work. Stephanie is the employee who make up her own rules and excuses as to where my receipt is and it didn't print when i wanted to complain one of the first times she was rude, 2nd time she slammed the window in my face. The morning shift is great! However The lunch shift is absolute horrible!! During lunch they get my order wrong every single time! Don't bother to try to go here! Awful "service." We've tried two separate times to use the drive thru with zero results. The first time we waiting at the box to be greeted and order for 15-20 minutes and no one ever came! We just tried the drive thru for the second time tonight and it was worse. The lady greeted us and was talking with us but then just stopped and never came back! We waited for 10-15 minutes and gave up. The car behind us pulled up and ordered immediately. We went around and got in line again and she immediately greeted us. We tried to give her our order but she told us sorry they don't sell the grilled cheese double burger and that it was a promotional item. We pointed out that the advertising and sign for the burger on the menu were still posted. She never replied. So again we left empty handed! Rude, unhelpful, neglectful employees. Literally the worst service out of all the fast food restaurants in this area. I have visited twice in the past week. I say visited because both of these occasions I left without food. First time me and a coworker went on our break. It was slow and clearly understaffed so I was patient. However, my patience wore very thin after we had stood there for 15 minutes without being helped at all. The lobby was empty- so its not like they were so busy they couldn't get to taking our order. Also might I add a worker had seen us when we walked in, and she also saw us standing there for a while. The second time I went I decided to go through the drive-thru, hoping it would be faster. I used to work in the fast food industry, so I know when a car comes through the drive thru their headsets chime. Anyhow, I was sitting there for roughly 6-7 minutes without any greeting or anything whatsoever. And its not like they didn't hear me. Needless to say, I, along with what Im sure is many people, wont be coming back to this Sonic anytime soon till management gets their crap together. oh read more
