I just stood at several screens at this dump for over 20 minutes. I pushed the button. It began flashing.....Nothing. The light stopped flashing after a few minutes. So I went to another screen. Same thing. I asked the one employee that I saw what was going on and he barely made eye contact and said that they are very backed up. There were three other customers trying to get served. Many screens were inoperable. No one was getting served except in the drive-through. I eventually just left after one patron went into the business and was told "those buttons ain't working." SONIC has good food. But they're going bankrupt because their emoyees suck. I won't be back. read more

The Sonic we all loved and expect is back! I believe this location is under new ownership and it shows. The pandemic must have taken a toll at this location but that was long ago.... the best service and the friendliest employees are now awaiting you. Was just like the commercials you see where they are indulging in the most mouthwatering food and extravagant shakes. This is a great place to go to overindulge on crazy wild shakes and frozen drinks. Yah, all intercoms are not easy to hear I agree. I did get a sprite rather than fries but, I can see how that could be misunderstood through the drive-thru. Not only did I get my fries but I got to keep the Sprite as well. This is probably the worst place to eat in Tifton. Sonic of Tifton makes Shady Lane drive-in look like a five-star restaurant. For starters, the food is often cold or tastes like it is cooked and then reheated in the microwave. If you are looking to enjoy drinks during their supposed "Happy Hour" get ready to be disappointed, you'll end up paying upwards of $8.00 for a drink let alone their shake and slush machines rarely seem to be working. Most dysfunctional fast food place I've ever been. The last 3 times I've visited something is always wrong/missing/unavailable. This time the drive through had a trash can blocking the speaker. The service here was amazing, the food was fresh and the person who delivered had great customer service. My family and me are from Florida and based on the service we reserved today I would say it's the best we've had EVER. We were quite concerned because of the previous reviews that we saw on yelp but like I've mentions before to our surprise we enjoyed our experience. Asked for a banana milkshake and I already paid. Five min went by and nothing kept waiting and I see some people at the drive through not even a few minutes they got my order kept on wait then it became 30 min they was ignoring me and kept looking outside And they see me. when we order our milkshakes it put mine as more money then my brother an we had the same size cup. They said the girl was bringing it out but it was 20 minutes later when they did. It was 8:35 when we order an we got our milkshakes at 8:55. after ten minutes i saw in the window the lady finally making our drinks. This Sonic is extremely frustrating. The infrastructure makes this Sonic difficult to get into--besides having a terribly small and inconvenient location, most locals use the drive-thru. However, the service is so slow that cars wrap around the parking lot, making it impossible to get in and out. Plus, they mess up my order consistently 1/3 times. If you are looking for a burger/hotdog drive-in in Tifton, visit Shady Lane. The only time I go here is during Happy Hour and I often leave disappointed or frustrated. Waited in the drive through line for 30 mins. Ordered a cheeseburger, fries and shake. Get to the window and she hands me a sprite. I ask why and she asked me what I ordered. She reads what she thinks is my order and says, "I got the # 1 with fries and a shake." First of all I didn't order a #1 or did I say I wanted a #1. I said I wanted a cheeseburger and fries and a shake. She shouldn't have assumed I was ordering a combo and should've asked if I wanted the combo? Second of all they didn't even ask me what drink I wanted with my combo and just handed me a sprite. Of course I was charged for all of it as well. Third, I get my bag and drive off and realize they didn't give me my fries. I went back and got the attention of the drive through lady and let her know I didn't get my fries and she says she'll get them out to me. I'm standing out there for a minute or two and the guy who is delivering to the parked cars asks me what I needed. I let him know and he yells in that someone is waiting for fries and comes back out and asks me for my receipt which they did not give me. He goes back in and let's them know that I don't have it and comes back out and tells me that I need my receipt and he needs to get the manager. After arguing with him for a minute and him delivering the messages he finally brings my fries. He was great by the way and didn't have anything to do with the unacceptable service I got. My burger was gross but my son, who got the shake, said it was one of the best shakes he's ever had. So that's the silver lining. I will never go to another sonic again. read more

We decided to try Sonic again after a 2 year absence. Their ads for 1/2 price shakes after 8 pm drew us in. Imagine our surprise to find that the ice cream machine was being cleaned over an hour before closing time! Two other cars near us were also trying to purchase shakes.
