Went during a slow time tonight (December 30, 2022) and was able to place my order fairly quick as there was only one vehicle ahead of me. I ordered the Jr. Frito Chili Cheese Wrap, the new Steak and Bacon Grilled Cheese combo with crispy tots. The only thing really edible was the wrap after I heated it up. The tortilla was ice cold, the cheese wasn't even melted inside. So I had to heat it up in the microwave to eat it. The Steak and Bacon Grilled Cheese does not look like anything in the ads or on the app. Seriously, looks nothing like it, false advertisement at its finest. The sandwich was cold and bread was somewhat spongy and not fresh. There was hardly any meat on it and it tasted odd. Needless to say, I wasn't able to continue eating it. The tots were cold. I asked for crispy tots and figured they would take the ones under the heat lamp and toss them back in the fryer for a minute or two to crispy them up. None of that occurred. I had to toss them too. It's very disappointing to see a great chain like Sonic serve up poor quality food. Especially when you are spending nearly $10 per meal there now. read more

The slushies we got had almost no syrup in them. Rude server came out to tell me it was just in the bottom and they had not stirred it. I poured it out in another cup and had to mix it myself. It still had very little flavor. I do not recommend this sonic. read more

This sonic I don't plan to ever visit again. The service is atrocious and the food is way just ok. The service really did it for me though. Pulled up the the speaker to order and sat there for 10 mins with nothing. No welcome, no please hold, nothing. No cars were in front of me either. After 10 mins I drove to the window to order and cars behind me had pulled into the line. I pulled up and asked if anyone was working the speaker and there was an employee just sitting with there backside in the drive thru window. Literally they were sitting in the window laughing with their friends while people were waiting to place their orders. She rudely said "Yes, is there a problem?" I said yes I've been sitting there waiting to order "fast food" for 10 mins with no cars in front of me. I told her what I wanted and she said "um sir, my job isn't to take your order". Also, you can't order at the window you have to drive around the building and get back in line. Haha! I said no thanks there's 6 cars in line now. I placed my order and she gave me attitude big time. Acted like I was inconveniencing her with trying to order food. Received my food, it took a total of 25 mins to order 2 burgers, shake and fries. She was rude when she delivered the food and clearly didn't understand the concept of working in a service industry, you serve the customers coming into your store. Will not be back, wasn't the first time this has happened at this location. Do better or give that real estate to some other business that cares about the quality of their product. read more

For tonight's dinner, I decided to go to Sonic. I ordered my food through one of the stalls, and they answered very quickly. I ordered a Chili Cheese Coney with a side of tots and ketchup. For the drink, I got a Dr. Pepper. My order was delivered quickly and the lady who brought my food was so kind! I was really hungry so I decided to go ahead and eat in the car. The Chili Cheese Coney was DELICIOUS, and the tots were the perfect addition, especially dipped in ketchup. The Dr. Pepper was crisp and topped off the entire dinner! 5/5 Stars for the food and excellent service! read more

Stopped by one afternoon for a slushy. The person taking our order made sure she understood what I wanted (plus 1), and our drinks were out soon after that, just as we had ordered. I like that this location has a drive they option in addition to the traditional sonic stalls - especially nice when you're in a rush. Love my cherry limeade slushee for summer! read more

This sonic really embodies the spirit of family time. The force you to spend quality time on the drive thru with your kids for 27 minutes. :) I'm so glad sonic is restoring good old fashion American values. That being said, if you are single. I cannot fathom why they are building a new one in town when this one is closed early often. They don't take mobile orders so there's no taking advantage of offers and you have to go through the drive thru since the stalls are all closed. Sonic HQ should consider finding new ownership who can run the business properly or just shut it down to stop hurting the sonic brand as a whole. read more

Well I do love there slush and I do love happy hour and I do love half price shakes after 8 in the summer but I just think they should keep there tables out side clean. I just saw a worker hand a customer a dish towel to wipe off his own table. That's unacceptable . They just really need to keep the outside a little cleaner. read more

I've been a fan of Sonic for some time. With that being said, this location seems to be falling in line with the other fast food chains that just don't seem to care about its customers. I usually just let the messed up orders slide, but this one ranks up there with a One Patty Big Mac with no sauce, or a Breast Meal from KFC that makes you look around for the rest of the pigeon. Sonic has become a guilty pleasure for me. Whether it's Wings, a corndog, shake, or just a large drink, they are always a cheap, quick option that we like to stop by when we have a craving. The staff here are friendly. Lots of drive-in stalls to park at, and they have a drive-through option as well if you aren't wanting to park. Also, Sonic always has great deals or specials, so that's a plus as well. read more

I have tried to give them several chances... but with the cost of food today it's sad that every time you go the order is wrong or something is left off. I'm not a big fan of sonic food. I only love the slushes. The food is not good to me. Everytime I get a hamburger, it seems to be over cooked and there is no flavor to eat. Tje tater tots and fries are the same way. Everything seems to be a bit bland. I think that they should only serve drinks because that's their specialty. The breakfast is not that good either. All the food is bland. The one thing that is good on their menu is the Hot Dogs. They extra slow when ordering. Sometimes it take 5 to 10 minutes just to get a slush. And if you order food that's 30 minutes. I don't understand why it take so long to prepare something so tasteless. I will just continue to go for the slushes. This is your typical Sonic Drive In. I have been here several times, mostly for milkshakes and soft drinks. During the hours of 2:00 to 4:00, drinks and slushes are half price. I like to bring the kids for that. For the past several years, milkshakes have been half price after 8:00 pm. Their sign read this week that they would be canceling the milkshake deal...bummer. This establishment employs teenage kids for what appears to be their entire staff. Take that how you want, but sometimes my experience with theses young people has been interesting. Bathrooms are pretty gross and the parking lot can get inundated with teens during the later hours of the evening. Sometimes they aren't bothersome, but sometimes they are. There aren't too many fast food restaurants in this area of town, so you are limited to your options if you need to stay on HWY11. Sonic - You need to continue half off milkshakes, please. If not, it will drastically reduce the few times I come here. read more

God I miss the chicken strip dinner with gravy, but it's otherwise not bad. I generally like the place. Sonic has changed over the years, and not all of it's bad. The employees here are very nice, it's usually clean, and the food is exactly what one would expect. The atmosphere here is nice in the summer. The outdoor seating is covered. However they do not serve alcohol. I' m here for the jalapeño poppers and selection of cool beverages. I would still prefer Whataburger in Trussville. However, the peanut butter milkshake is awesome. Sonics milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard. Damn right it's better than most. read more

They used to be pretty good but that has all gone downhill quickly. Today I ordered two #2 double cheeseburgers all the way and a large order of tots. My burger did not have any onions on it but the other one did. Mine had a couple of small pieces of jalapeno, but no onions ??? The tots had been fried in old oil, I ate one. This Sonic usually delivers pretty good food and they're pretty quick to get the food out. I also like that they serve their entire menu all day. However, the location is somewhat awkward and it can be difficult to get in and out. Today I was overcharged ($12.35) for a kids meal. When I brought it to the girls attention at the window she started laughing then gave me the worst attitude ( large black girl). Fast food done right with a good menu variety. Yes, its a teen hangout, but I was a teen once too...in the previous century...lol. spring summer and fall are best times here. I'll never try the double burger again. I didnt realize the burger patties were 1/4 lb each. Waay too much for me, and I'm not tiny! The burger finished my sampling of the menu. All meats are good, tots and fries are good, and wow, what a drink selection. Onion rings are top drawer in most cases but once, just once, they came out greasy. Once is ok. I remember several drive ins, and once McDonalds was a drive up. I miss em, and my friends, but I visit Sonic with my best girl a couple of times a month.
