Perfect amount of cheese, a great tasting sauce, and a perfectly charred crust that wasn't too thick or too thin (although you will need to fold it to eat it or the slice will flop downward from the weight of the cheese). Until this last trip I had never had the sandwich that made them famous. Now that I have, I can say that this is a must stop. Heck, it may be worth a drive if you are within an hour or two. The only thing you need to know is that you must order a fried green tomato BLT. In my entire life I have never intentionally ordered a BLT. To me, this is the most dumb idea for a sandwich I have ever heard of. Until now. This is quite possibly one of teh most perfect sandwiches I have ever had. It is so great that I wanted a second when I was done but it definitely would not have been as good later as it was fresh. Amazing. Service was as friendly as one should expect from a roadsie shack such as this. The one worker took our order, made it, delievered it, and gave us some pork rinds with their homemade hot sauce to try. That was a solid thing to do as it made me buy two of their hot sauces stored in old coke bottles. Just come here. Order the BLT. Thank me later.
