I rolled up to the Sonic Drive-In to grab a quick bite. I ordered a cheeseburger with SWEET POTATO TOTS. Yes, you heard right! These made the whole meal SO much better.The tots were so fluffy and sweet potato-ey! MMMM. I want some now writing this review. I also ordered a cherry limeade(YUM!). The drive-up was pretty busy, and they were still cooking my burger, so I was told to pull up ahead and they would bring me my food shortly. Less than 5 minutes later, they brought it, along with a token(looks like a poker chip!) for a FREE cherry limeade for having to wait out of line. It was a very nice gesture and made my day. Simple pleasures, I guess. :-) I used to go here back in 2009 when this first 1 star review was written, but I think they have improved this location by leaps and bounds since then. I've been in search of the ultimate Chicago Dog this summer. As a quick reminder a true Chicago Dog: 1. Has a steamed all beef (Vienna beef if you're going for the true meaning) Hot Dog topped with yellow mustard, bright green (fluorescent) relish, chopped onions, tomato wedges, pickle slice, sport peppers and a dash of celery salt served in the all-important steamed poppy seed bun. 2. When the Chicago Dog has been made properly, you will get a taste of each ingredient in every bite. So placement of the toppings is paramount. 3. A Chicago Style Hot Dog is never boiled, but slowly simmered using steam heat. 4. AND most importantly, never-ever ketchup...ever. And you thought, it was as simple as boiling a few Oscar Meyer wieners and slapping them between wonder bread buns. Oh- the horror. This sonic rocks! Quick, good food, close to my house :) One day, several weeks ago we ordered some hot dogs, and the guy at the drive-through starts using really funny catch phrases that were comin' at us so fast (but in a formal customer service format) that I can't recall for the life of me. But I remember that the gentlemen had a whole persona about him that made everyone in the car scratch our heads in laughter. It was great. In fact, it was the most entertaining experience I've ever had going at a drive-through window. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please share. Went to sonic the other day and I waited 45 minutes for mu food but they were pretty slammed. I had the ocean water with my foot long coney and it turned my poop green I was a little concerned at first but did some research and come to find out they use food coloring for the ocean water. We got there at 8:15am to grab a quick bite to eat. We ordered enough french toast for three adults and one toddler and three cream slushes. At 8:33, we saw the only person inside play on their phone at the counter, and we noticed that her purse was in the food prep area. We didnt get our food until 8:40, and we watched her mess up our drinks. We didn't get a receipt either. It took us less time to get from there to the Denver Zoo than it did to get our food. I'm sorry Sonic, but this is the last time I'm EVER coming to this location! My 5 year old daughter really wanted to come here tonight for dinner, (she likes to eat in the car, lol!). We placed our order; one large number 7 combo with tots and a soda, and 2 wacky pack grilled cheese with tots and a cherry slush, one soda, one order of onion rings, and one waffle cone sundae. We waited, waited, waited, and waited... One hour later my husband and I were BEYOND PISSED!! We pushed the button to ask where our food was, seriously one whole hour for the sonic?!?! Nobody answered the intercom, we pushed the button 3 times! Finally someone answered, we told them we had been waiting for over an hour! The guy working came outside to ask what food we'd been waiting on. We repeated our order, he said "oh yeah that order was delivered to the wrong stall, and I canceled it an hour ago..." WTF?!?! He said he'd get us fresh food and we wouldn't be charged... So we finally get the food... Less than impressive after over an hour wait... Wacky packs had no toys, the "grilled" cheeses were not grilled at all, we didn't get our onion rings, didn't get the waffle cone sundae... My diet coke was warm and watered down, (the one that had been sitting there for over an hour!) The guy working apologized, and said that 5 people called in, I get it, I can be sympathetic to that, but the food we received was atrocious! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION!! I will go out of my way to the sonic on 95th and Federal! I'm beyond pissed and disappointed in our experience here tonight. No customer should ever be treated the way we were! I swear.. every time we visit this Sonic the blast machine is broken. Somehow sometimes the shake machine works though. Not sure how that works... At DQ it's the same machine. This was a 2 stars review until we got our food. My boyfriend ordered a meal that comes with onion rings. When he got his meal, there were no onion rings. He told the employee and she said "uh, that's probably because we're out." He was never informed at the time of his order. She didn't offer any substitute and, in an insincere way, said "yeah, I'm sorry." We've had too many issues with this establishment and will not be returning. read more

Super disappointing. I've been going to this location off and on for the last 4 years and never had shitty service like today. At the drive through my husband and I ordered a coney dog, and #12 which is supposed to be chicken strips (which no one asked how many we wanted; 4 or 6), onion ringS (plural), tots, Texas toast and gravy. The gravy was soupy. There was only one singular onion ring. The Texas toast dry as a bone. The coney dog was rubbery and missing condiments that it is supposed to come with. I haven't had a meal this bad in years. I don't frequent Sonic very often, but we were looking for something quick last night and I chose Sonic over Good Times. Bad choice. It all started out good... we ordered and the lady brought us our food pretty quickly and repeated everything back to us precisely as we'd ordered it. But that was where it ended. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese & jalapenos added to it. I opened the little foil bag and it looked as though someone just tossed a couple of buns and some lettuce in there. I pulled it out and half of the sandwich fell apart. There was only enough chicken to fill up half of the sandwich. Half of the wheat bun was as hard as a rock. NO CHEESE! I tried to put the sandwich together as best as possible and bit into it only to find out I had to gnaw my way through the chicken breast because it was grilled waay too long... or else it sat out too long. Two bites in and I tossed it. I'm sorry Sonic on 100th & Wadsworth, you are a terrible disgrace of a fast food restaurant. This Sonic is okay. They are usually very friendly and correct any mistakes made (which unfortunately, happens quite a bit). The food is good, but it almost always gives me a bellyache afterward, no matter what I eat there. I do enjoy their big drinks, though, and I tend to go through the drive-through in the afternoons or evenings after work to get something fun like coconut Sprite or cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. I LOVE their cherry limeade, and their sweet tea isn't bad either. All of the many flavors you can choose from for drinks is the real appeal here. read more

It's been awhile since I had Sonic, but was craving it for some reason. This one is near my house and I went for it. I have been here a couple times and in that couple times the place was busy! Once was a week night and the other a weekend day. I really love fast food and I would put this in one of my top spots for a quick bite. I always try to get a different drink to get a different taste. I really love their ocean water! It's blue tinted soda with a hint of coconut. Very tasty! The burgers are really good for this type of food and that is what I have always ordered. I've also had the fries, tater tots and onion rings as sides. My favorite would be the onion rings. So my friends and I came here for a late night snack this evening, and ordered 3 slushies and two orders of fries. When we got our order, the guy asked if we needed anything extra and I asked for extra ketchup. He was hesitant and said that he put ketchup in the bag. And I still asked for a few extra packets. He told me he'd grab them and come back. I looked in the bag and there was ONE packet of ketchup. For two medium orders of fries. Well, he never came back. I waited, and waited...and also made eye contact with him several times as he walked by me. And finally I caught his attention and asked for the second time for ketchup. (Now that I've been waiting and my fries are cold) he brought me a handful and a half and rudely told me to have a good night. Stopped to get a Slush. 2 cars in the stalls, with 1 receiving their food. Went to drive-up to order. 5 cars in front of me. All other cars in line pulled forward and received their orders, with no one taking my order. Tried to get their attention to see if they new I was waiting, now with a line of cars behind me. How long does it take to let someone in line that they would be with me in a minute, not a problem. But no reply, I pulled forward to window letting them know that I hadn't ordered as they had not responded to my calls and I didn't know if speaker was out of order. This employee appeared to be the manager, and without asking me what I needed or apologizing for the wait, told me if I wanted to order, I would have to drive around to a stall or get back in line for the drive through. All I wanted was a slush. In the time that she was reprimanding she could have gotten my drink and taken care of a least one of the cars behind me. Would have given a "0" rating, but have to give at least a 1 to post. read more

We have gone to this Sonic since it was new. There are times when it can be a bit slow, but that's only when they are overwhelmed with customers. I see poor reviews, yet I don't think they'd be so busy if they weren't good. Personally, I think they are wonderful. There have only been a couple times when the order was mixed up, but they remedied it immediately and more than made up for it. The man we see there a lot is Anthony, and he is always friendly, on top of things, and he really takes pride in his store. I cannot recommend them enough. Their ice cream machine has been broken for the majority of the past three weeks. That's right. No cones. No Blasts. No shakes or malts. And not a single sign to warn you that half their menu is unavailable due to busted equipment. I was here a few weeks ago with a kiddo who wanted a sundae, and again today with the other kiddo who wanted a shake. No luck either time. I couldn't believe it when I heard the ice cream machines were still out of order. I asked the carhop today what was up, and she said not only are the ice cream machines broken, but their AC is also busted (the drive-thru guy several weeks ago told me the same thing). So, not only is a large portion of their menu unavailable, but it makes me wonder about the overall food safety of the place, if they don't even have AC and apparently don't have the funds to repair anything. The carhop thanked me for not screaming at her, and when I told her that I was going to complain to their corporate headquarters, she thanked me, saying "Yes! Please complain." I've had the same customer service issues other reviews mention, but this no-ice cream business is the tipping point for me. Not going back. read more
