Like a lot of you, I comparison shop. But until yesterday I had never thought to compare fast food, specifically Sonic. My daughter drinks lots of flavored water, so we stopped at this Sonic and ordered her usual-a large water, extra ice, and a light shot of blackberry. When the young lady told her it would be $1.41 she cancelled the order. At her usual Sonic in Kilgore she pays $.90. We drove on to run some more errands and ended up on Tyler's west loop. We again stopped and ordered the same thing. The "voice" answered "that will be $.60 please!" Wonder what else Whitehouse is overcharging for ? BTW. the $.90 is probably the most accurate price. read more

I really like our Sonic and for fast food it is my go to choice if one is where I am. BUT I have ordered twice this week and something was wrong with each order. The server said what the order was correctly, but the person to whom I was delivering had something wrong. The first was missing French fries - I know I should have checked, but I have never had a problem before-and the second had all veggies on the sandwich when what was ordered was supposed to be nothing but pickles. I guess first of all, this is a Sonic, so really what do you expect? I can tell you what I expected, a burger to be made the way it's portrayed on their advertising. I don't normally visit Sonic, but that chophouse cheeseburger looked really good on the ads, so my family stopped by to try it out. I've posted the pictures of the burger here. Disappointed is an understatement. There was a spot of dressing on the bun. Supposed to be some kind of special aioli I guess, couldn't really tell, there was so little of it. Also, the real draw for this burger, the fired onion straws, are nonexistent. They didn't just forget because there are two or three small bits of onion straws on there, but again not enough to really taste. Hey I get it it's a Sonic. But if you don't want to do your job correctly, don't bother. They should be ashamed of the product they are serving. I did text the manager and they offered an apology and a free replacement. That's why you got two stars instead of one. I'm not going back, even for a free burger. read more

Very thankful for the manager there... but his employees?! HELL NO! To start, the app was being silly, no blame there but i was trying to be as patient as possible with them in hopes they would also be patient with me. My app wouldn't update my order and made 3 orders that i paid for all together. I ordered diet Ocean waters with vanilla (sprite zero and vanilla and blue coconut) but they came out with no blue coconut! I'm thinking "oh no problem i'll just ask them to remake them and pay for it if i have to" the employee (a girl) was rude, said "it's not my problem", and ended the speaker mid call with me. She had no patience and i was trying my best. I called again to ask for the manager and he answered very quickly and politely. He corrected her rudeness by remaking my drinks but it still took an hour total to get out my second burger. No one else was in line for their food, i sat patiently, and tried to be thoughtful with them because some of their stalls were down due to a tornado. I wouldn't have wrote this, but i was trying to be respectful despite the app issues, and was still disrespected. Really hoping and praying that this employee gets some patience and respect in her like the manager had in him. read more

We used to order from the app frequently while our kitchen was being remodeled. Usually we would order for our family plus the crew, so the order would often be $120 or more. The first 2 or 3 times, we would be missing items (never just one, often 3-4 items) and would have to go back. So we began to check every bag while there and notifying them immediately of missing items to which they would get irritated and mouthy over...even when shown the items were missing in the bags they provided. Twice we ordered their ice cream sandwiches, and had to ask to get new ones because we had to wait on burgers and such to be cooked as they were missing...and one of those two times we were given back the half melted ice cream instead of new ones. We love Sonic, I used to work at one in high school back in my hometown when they still wore roller skates. This is a shame this one in Whitehouse, Texas is allowed to be run this way. read more

Went here today and ordered food. In the food I ordered a side of gravy. The container was 25% full. Can not believe they could not fill the small container up. It seems every time we go here that there is always some small problem. The part that really pisses me off is I called to complain but their phone is busy for 2 hours. Really this day and age your phone is busy. I think not I believe they have it off the hook. I thought the days of bad service would be over with these people. Stopped in for the Breakfast Burrito. I got the meal. I should have known when the food was at my car in less than 2min. I'm all for fast but if wanted cold food I could have saved my money and made me a sandwich at home. My eggs were cold so was the tots. It was a waste of $10 that's for sure. i do not go here often but I live close so sometimes I stop but but every encounter I have with place sucks, the fries are ALWAYS cold when the one time I ask the manager to come out to talk about the fries (turns out to be the store manager he's a guy btw) he's completely rude argues and everything never even gave me fresh fries so I stop going for a while so one day I stop bye to get some chili cheese dogs and THERE A ROACH LEG never going there again I can't imagine seeing what that kitchen looks like.... There were bugs in my drink. Very disturbing to think that they don't even keep their cups clean.

This location was very very bad before, now it's seems ok they actually have my order ready when I get there and the food tastes great.

They're back open and its great! I don't know if there is a new owner or management or what but great job! All new ordering stations and it seems to be all new staff as well. Food gets out a lot quicker than it used to and its great! Give it another chance if you've written it off before the relaunch :D read more

IF they get your order right it tastes fine, but the atmosphere at this Sonic is disgusting. There are often workers standing outside smoking or talking with their chums posing as customers. We don't frequent this Sonic because the service is so poor. read more

This Sonic is one of the worst Sonics I have ever visited! They are ALWAYS SLOW! The girl that delivered my drink this afternoon had my drink and two others pressed up against her chest carrying them and overflowed some on to the lid. When I asked for napkins, so I wouldn't spill it, she huffed and said well it is going to be a minute because I need to deliver the rest of these. I am so tired of crappy service at this Sonic! I went to sonic tonight, it's a Thursday night at 10:30pm and waited over 10mins at one order station so I drove to the other side and tried to order on the other side and waited over 20 minutes and no one answered so I called the place and no answer. So I left, there's no reason I shouldn't have got an answer the store closes at midnight that's what it says online. SO FUCK YOU SONIC YOU LOST ME AS A COSTUMER! Also I used to work there recently, so I have personally witness this! The chili that they serve to people they have let sit out overnight then the next day serve it to people because they didn't want to make a fresh batch! That is not only disgusting but you can make people sick! It was the employs and manager that did this also they thought it would be funny to serve the chili to people cause it was old. I know that anyone can have a bad experience anywhere. That has been so long ago. The Sonic in Whitehouse has a new owner and the staff are as nice as they can be. I work very close by so I go there a few times a week and never a problem. When I call in my order they know who I am.... The last two times I have gone to sonic they have messed up my order and each time refused to compensate for it. The first time, I ordered a bacon cheddar croissant dog and instead of the correct order they gave me a basic hot dog. This time, I ordered small mozzarella sticks and mini cheddar peppers and I requested ranch, when they gave me my order, there was no ranch. I have called them each time and they will not compensate for these mess ups. I will not be going to sonic in Whitehouse, Tx any more. I also have a couple of friends and relatives that have complained about they're order being wrong and only one person has actually been able to get their order fixed and it took her 2 hours to get them to do it. The service is poor, the workers are lazy and rude, and the food isn't worth the wait nor the rude treatment. I will be going to the sonic in Tyler for now on. read more
