Dr. Ellard prescribed antibiotics which didn't ultimately work. He had been following up with me personally by phone and text through that weekend (including Sunday!). As we talked, he determined that I would need an extraction and he immediately made calls to his staff members and rounded up the crew needed to do the emergency extraction the following day. A day when they were closed due to the corona virus mandatory shut down. We determined also that an implant would be the best fix for the problem in the long run and he was able to do all the other procedures needed to start that process also. (Ct scan etc.). The insurance benefits were handled and the work on my mouth got done. I can't express how lucky I felt that my dentist was able to complete all this work and create such a comprehensive plan for treatment over a weekend and during the shut down. What do other people do who's dentists can't or don't go through these measures? Mouth pain is all encompassing and hardly bearable for most! Every member of Dr Ellard's team is so knowledgeable and know exactly what to do in every instance. A well-oiled machine,always. I searched and made three consultations with three different orthodontists and Dr. Hallgren was one of my first appointments. He was so thorough with his exam, took detailed notes/measurements and most importantly, he answered all the questions that I had. He explained possible options and set expectations. After leaving that appointment, I felt confident that I can trust his abilities in addressing my treatment needs. The next day, I cancelled all the other appointments and decided to start my treatment plan with Dr. Hallgren. One year later and I am still happy with my treatment and the progress my teeth had made so far. Additionally, Dr. Hallgren has the best staff!! they're all very friendly and professional. I had times when one bracket fell off and needed to be re-attached, that was never a problem. The staff was always accommodating and made sure I was able to come in as soon as possible to get it taking care off. They always made me feel welcomed! There is also a shortcut for you a few days before your appointment: they will send a link for you to fill out paperwork. THANK YOU. I do not like to do this in person anymore, but rather in advance where I can take my time and do it in my own comfy chair with coffee in hand. Kindness: The dental staff is extraordinary. The hygienist I had was welcoming, kind, and efficient. Gentle: No pain during my cleaning or exam (this has happened before, so I am really aware of it). They also took care with my TMJ, and for once after a dental appointment, I didn't walk away in pain. Dentist: He was also kind, efficient, and smart! I really liked him! Parking: Right there in a public lot, perhaps 20 steps max to the door. I didn't see a handicap spot; perhaps it was around the corner where there could be a curb cut? This office building off West Main has many businesses within. There is another business that shares the main outside door. We love this place so much we switched dentists for our entire family to this practice.

Response "they 'should' reimburse you". I call back (hsb) give my dental insurance details. Again "well (maybe?) they (delta insurance) should reimburse you". I'm swamped with work while calling. I call back later, they say a "word salad" Response if my son's future appointment will be covered. "UH, yes, ah we take insurance, uh, they should reimburse" etc. So I ask what will be the bill. They can give exact amount of what you are billed but, BUT EXPLAIN "you should get reimbursed from insurance company "delta". If you continue to question... you get the same information repeated, OVER AND OVER!!! Then you will be called "rude" because you want to know what's covered, what you have to pay. They don't care. They get sarcastic, condescending, stuff like "you want to speak to Michelle?" "You want me to call delta insurance?" of which they do neither. Then "we won't see you, blah, blah blah. They laugh at you and do NOTHING of what's been asked. Nor do they check with "delta" nor get anyone else to help. They enjoy useless word salad responses that don't help and endless "you're rude!" When they don't help. My suggestion? DON'T GO THERE!!! Save yourself useless FRUSTRATION! If you go there... merely ask "what's this going to cost?". I called and got an appt. within a couple days. I saw Dr. Mallory who was new to me. He looked at my bridge and my mouth. He determined my bridge was broken and could not be cemented back on. His treatment plan was almost $6,000 out of pocket. I got a second d opinion from another dentist who said the bridge was not broken and cemented it back on. There was no charge because insurance covered it. Needless to say, I have found a new dentist and will not be returning to Drake Dental.

The only contact with questions about services or trying to negotiate imposed unnecessary services is exclusively through the staff taking phone calls and, repeating, like a broken record, that these are the policies of Dr. Khaghany and nothing will change. In short, her way or the highway. On May 27th, during my regular cleaning services, a small cavity was found by the hygienist and later confirmed after a full mouth X-ray evaluation. Before the X-ray, I was assured that the procedure was necessary and fully covered by my dental insurance. I asked about that not once by twice to make sure my understanding was correct. A surprise came when I was presented with a bill and additional payments. It turned out that four different X-ray pictures were taken but only two were fully covered. A greater surprise came when I wanted to scheduled an appointment to get a needed filing for the tooth with cavity. I was informed that I must take a panoramic X-ray, required every 3 years (?) and pay for that in full before I could get any new service, including the now very much needed filling. There was no way to negotiate to get the filling now and, possibly, the panoramic X-ray before my new October scheduled cleaning. I was denided that which I find very unethical, unprofessional and very wrong. I have to quickly find a new dentist to get very much needed filling now when my cavity keeps deteriorating.
