I tried really hard to like my sandwich but it had no flavor . No sauce , no smoke flavor of bbq , I had to add my sauce . But it kept tasting like paper , like I was eating the plate liner paper. Very odd and off taste. The sweet potato was delicious plain . I ordered tea 1/2 sweet & 1/2 unsweetened. I had to ask for some unsweetened I. Addition it was just too sweet. My husband enjoyed his all you can eat ribs . My daughter enjoyed her bbq pull pork sandwich . The place was clean , forks were nice as sterile in a paper sleeve though I needed a knife to cut my sandwich . We love Sunny's I guess I'll never try that sandwich again . Just disappointing because I love to enjoy my meal . I didn't photograph our food . The server was pleasant and very attentive.

Service was good, like always. Restaurant not super packed at noon on Saturday. Tables, etc seemed clean & filled. But food was lacking this weekend. Pulled pork sandwich on the bun was hardly even a sandwich. Not even half the bun covered. And, peach cobbler egg rolls are just kinda basic & aren't really worth $6 for two egg rolls cut in half.

Been to Sonny's many times over the years, but this was a first at this location. We were seated promptly and drinks arrived fast. Staff was friendly. Ordered the BBQ egg rolls as an appetizer. They were disappointing as they were a lot smaller than they use to be and not as tasty. Also got the Turkey Big deal on garlic toast. It was good and the Turkey was moist. The Turkey on a bun was the same. Very moist and tasty. Really miss the salad bar and wish it would be brought back. Overall a good experience.

I have always been a Sonny's fan. Food reminds me of good ole' boy cookin'. Those of us from the South enjoy their fried okra!!! Portions are always large and the meat is never fatty. Service is always good.

    Fat from my sliced brisket

Absolutely horrible brisket and it's a total rip off...I will never set foot in that establishment again...I got the sliced "lean" brisket....When it arrives half of it was nothing but fat...I said something to the waiter and he said "oh you wanted the lean brisket?" ....To which I replied yes...So then he brought back me a small side plate of "lean" brisket...Well at first glance I thought he did good and was taking care of me....Nothing could be further from the truth....It was not the same brisket that I got for my dinner...While my dinner brisket was loaded with fat the actual meat part was ok....The "brisket" he brought had all kinds of small stringy and chewy fat running through it...It was disgusting...On top of everything they have the audacity to charge you "market price" for this rubbish too...I was charged $16 and change...the sides were average at best...This was probably the second worst bbq joint I've been to.

The outside patio is beautifully decorated with lights, tables and chairs and greenery with foliage to create that natural outdoor vibe. When you enter, it's like walking into a small home where you greeted and seated by a hostess or server. There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Last but not least, Beth our server was kind and sweet. She was patient and very accommodating with great table manner and should certainly be recognized for her gracious nature and hospitality.

Definitely a turn off given the open vibe of the other dining areas which had openings.

The food is served in the cutest wooden picnic baskets, which sets the tone right away. I ordered the soup, side salad, and sandwich combo, and everything was fresh and comforting. The butternut squash soup was rich and creamy with pumpkin seeds on top, the chicken and brie wrap was pressed perfectly, and the pasta salad tasted garden-fresh with a crisp bite of veggies. What I love most is the atmosphere. You can choose to dine on their beautiful shaded porch--full of old Florida charm--or head inside to their cozy dining room if you want to escape the sun. Had brunch here with some girlfriends on a Saturday - brunch time in Hyde park, on the weekend,…read moredoes not bode well for parking - just a heads up for those who may be unfamiliar with the Hyde park area. There are a few parking garages, but even those are a pain because people park like idiots. The parking situation isn't On Swann's fault, but it's an annoying factor. We had reservations well in advance, so we didn't have to worry about a wait. It was reasonably busy for a Saturday at brunch time. The decor and overall ambiance was classy but comfortable, which is great imo. Our server was nice and checked on us a good amount of times. The wait time between ordering our food and it coming to the table felt a bit lengthier than I would typically expect, but the food was delicious so it's hard to even complain about that. I got the short rib hash and a croissant and both items were wonderful. The croissant was flaky and buttery, it comes with a honey dip and butter on the side, would def get again. The short rib hash was also a menu item I would order again - the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I'd say I'm a little picky with how runny my eggs are. These were runny, but not TOO runny. The potatoes had a nice crisp to the outside but nice and soft on the inside, the short rib was so tender, so juicy, it was just a very well rounded, great tasting hash. This was my first time visiting On Swann for brunch, I'll be back for sure, but maybe on a weekday instead of the weekend since it seems to get pretty crowded in the Hyde Park Village area!

The standout for me was the Holiday Ham breakfast sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to its name. Built on a flaky buttermilk biscuit, it layers a light, fluffy egg soufflé with thinly sliced ham, praline bacon that adds just the right touch of sweetness, and a cranberry orange jam that ties everything together with a bright, unexpected pop. Every bite tasted thoughtful and seasonal without being overcomplicated--comfort food elevated. I paired it with Jennie's Dolce seasonal espresso drink, and it was so good I immediately wanted another. Even more impressive?
