Our server, Madison, greeted us at our table all the way in the back of the restaurant. She was serious and not friendly or smiling. From there it only got worse, unfortunately for us. I ordered the Sirloin and Shrimp with Baked potato. When my Sirloin came out it was slightly wet, but tasted bad and incredibly dry and tough. I tried salt and it didn't help. I asked for barbecue sauce, but that never came. I decided to send it back and try something else. I asked for the grilled shrimp. She said let's see you already had this many shrimp, so how many more do you want. I finally just said three. She said six would be better. Not sure why they couldn't just bring me a full order of shrimp as I gave them back almost the whole steak. The whole time, Madison was being extremely rude and unprofessional. Finally, my shrimp come and they are good, but by they then my brother was done eating his Chicken Fried Sirloin. He liked his meal, but felt it was over breaded. He would have liked to have not had to ask for Iced Tea refills and not feel she was judging our intake. Our experience, was ruined by the way we were treated by Madison. I would like to come back, but would hope to receive better service.

The few times I've been to this particular establishment for dinner it's been very busy. The wait is crazy. Luckily you can reserve a spot online and get a text when ready. Parking has to extend to the store lots nearby. The staff were very nice and always checked on us. The level of service is high here. The food is ok. Buns are always good and they'll give you free peanuts in bags now instead of open buckets. The chicken salad was not the best. Chicken texture was off and the greens were mainly cheap iceberg. Dressing option seemed to be lite ranch which imo is not a good ranch and if one goes that route to just get the good stuff. Mac and cheese was pretty bland but I guess average kids will be picky if it has any flavor. My kid said it taste like nothing. Steak was good, gravy was ok. Gravy could be improved. It needed a zing or kick in it though as it was just a one note. They need to keep A1 steak sauce on the table as the business brand bottle tasted bad to me. First ingredient was water followed by second ingredient as corn syrup. I'm not putting that on my steak no thank you. Chili was ok but was bland. Cheese fries were fine. Standard fare of cheddar and bacon bits. Atmosphere here and service is great but they need to work on the food. Maybe the food is better for others tastes but I need more excitement in my dishes. Service 5 star, food 3 star.

    Fried Pickle Appetizer w/GREAT RANCH!

I had another very enjoyable experience at Texas Roadhouse in Lakeland. The rolls were hot and wonderfully soft. I ordered the Citrus Herb Grilled Chicken w/very creamy mac & cheese. My entree selection comes with two sides, so I also chose the delicious chili. It had lots of beef and beans, very flavorful! The only complaint I have was the grease used to fry the pickles tasted old. I've had the fried pickles before and enjoyed them, mainly because the batter is very light & crispy. The ranch is excellent!

I love this Texas Roadhouse and everyone in it. I come here probably way more than I should and I have an amazing experience every time I come whether it's take out or o come to sit down and have a nice meal.

My family and I love Texas de Brazil. 99% of the time the food is cooked to perfection. However, this was the one exception where the ribs was overcooked tasted burned. The service was pretty fast. The food was delivered quickly. If you've been to a Texas roadhouse, you know it's nothing fancy and that's not why you go there. Deducting one star for the ribs. If that's one of your specialties, it should be perfect every time it comes to the table.

    Appropriate decor for the location!

He was very social and answered all our questions and socialized about personal life as well. We ordered the Cuban eggrolls, and they were quite good but had smaller cubes of ham as opposed to pictures showing slices in some older pictures posted to this establishment. The drinks were spot-on. Although I may sound disappointed, I'm looking forward to trying more on the menu that they have to offer. I plan to return to try more. Recommended!

Really loved the raised unfinished ceiling and the naked white brick wall which covered the side wall of the tavern. When you enter there is a hostess to great you. And our server almost appeared immediately. She explained the menu to us and the specials. What a great first impression. Unfortunately, there was a key piece of info we missed. There is a full bar, draft beer options and a decent wine selection. I ordered a draft beer and a flight of Mimosas. The beer was good, the mimosa flight not so much. Oh, and they have brunch specials on Saturday and Sunday, including unlimited mimosas at a 2 hour limit. For food, ordered the classic breakfast plate and a breakfast burger. Food was pretty good, but the burger was from a frozen patty, so not the best. Unfortunately they have some policy where they charge an extra $1 for the eggs. It is posted in the front, but nowhere on the menu. Suffice to say that experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Pun intended. They did remove the $1 but it took more effort that I would have liked and unfortunately the review and the server's tip suffered as a result.

Husband and I got the half pork platter with one side. He got beans, which he said were delicious. I got a fresh garden salad with honey mustard. Pork was just right. It was quiet and peaceful so we were able to catch up in normal speaking voices. Didn't have to shout to be heard. Our waitress was attentive and kept checking up on us. We appreciated that kind of service. We only had to get one to go box for our friend. Husband and I got clean plate awards! Friend paid her bill with a credit card. We used Apple Pay after scanning the QR code. I don't remember paying a surcharge for not using cash, which was refreshing. When we left an hour later, more people were in booths, and the bar area was no longer empty. This is a really nice place, with good food and service. It should be full all the time!

At first glance this place looks like a really cool hangout. The mix of metal roofing and American motif gives it a gritty look. Looks to have plenty of seating to include a covered outdoor area. Looked to be clean and organized. Service was spot on and our hostess/server was quick to provide menus and silverware. She immediately took drink orders and returned rather quickly. My friends and I chose the buffet as it was recommended by my friend's cohorts. According to them "they have the best beans and BBQ buffet". A Looking it over there were several meat choices. There was hamburger patties in a brown gravy, several flavors of chicken wings, pulled pork, meatballs, and burnt ends. Overall it was okay at best. Flavors weren't consistent. For example I had a meatball that was very spicy. But the other was bland. I thought the burnt ends were a bit dry as if they sat there all day. The problem with that is we went as they opened. The pulled pork was a bit mushy. The BBQ wings were pretty tasty. I also tried the garlic parmesan. I thought they were a bit salty. Now for the sides. I felt the macaroni was a bit overcooked as opposed to al dente. Hush puppies were okay. The beans were actually good in my opinion. A nice addition was pork rinds. I don't know if they were house made and I forgot to ask. I really didn't go up for seconds as nothing really impressed me. Afterwards I did try their peach cobbler. Mushy and lacking either ice cream or whipped cream. They did have a salad bar. It looked to be fairly fresh. And I wanted to also add, for an extra $5 you can have all you can eat sliced brisket. At $17 I wasn't going to tack another $5 for kess than impressive BBQ. Overall I'd have to say there are far better choices for BBQ in Lakeland. Would I go back? Maybe, but I'd express my opinion. For what I paid I could have gotten a far better meal at Mojo Federal in Downtown. Just saying.

The menu is french inspired but portions are over the top even by american standards. The cordon blue must have used two chicken breasts as it was easily 10" long and at least 3" across. Honestly, it's enough for dinner, lunch, and dinner again the next day and that's coming from a guy. The cooking was well prepared, chicken and fish were cooked to the correct doneness, but there's a few places for improvement. Too many things were overly salty and the chef seems to favor garlic to the point that it impairs the flavors of the rest of the food. I would never have described the brussel sprouts as "pan fried", they were boiled and then hit a pan for like 30 seconds. One of the heavily salted items, between the texture and the salt, they were nearly inedible. One quick side rant - do restaurants not understand that we all have cell phones and can google the retail price of a bottle of wine? I'm not paying $10/glass for a wine that is $11/bottle (and probably not buying $11 wine anyway). Cut your prices in half and you'll actually sell so much more that you'll make up the profit in volume. Win-win. For a french menu, I didn't see a single french wine on the list. Hmmm Desserts sounded great, the only one we had was the creme brulee. The custard was perfect with a strong vanilla flavor and you could see the beans in it. The caramelized sugar was too thick. You should be able to crack it by tapping it with your spoon, not have to stab it to force it to break. Anything more than 1 mm is too thick. Getting all frenchie and metric on you. Still, a respectable place. I'd like to see a wider variety of herbs and spices used and tone down the the salt and garlic. This place has michelin potential, but is held back by Food Prep 101 mistakes.

Ya caught me, this is a guilty pleasure of mine. Other family members agreed that the chicken was the most tasty of the meats. Another positive, there are a lot of gluten-free options if you eat meat! They even have a special menu that tells you the items that do have gluten. The fries are GF but in a shared fryer, but if that doesn't bother you I highly recommend them. The fries when they were fresh were amazing, but they tried to give us old fries first, which we ended up sending back because they were cold and mushy. Luckily, the next batch pulled through! As for the sides, the smoked corn was good but pretty salty, the sweet potato was so delish, the coleslaw was fresh and sweet and creamy, and the green beans were just green beans. They made a mistake on our order, fixed it, and then charged us extra for it. When we asked them about it, they said it was because they gave us extra food on accident, and therefore we would have to pay for the extra food. To me, this seems like something that should not have been charge because we did not ask for the extra food, but we still paid because we did not want to make a big deal of it. The customer service is not great, and you may need to advocate for yourself at this restaurant.
