I'm giving this location a three, which I considered to be basic/average service. I honestly was hoping that things would turn around and the customer service would improve somehow. However, after sending my most recent email and not receiving a response back for over Six days I decided to post this review. I've been increasingly seeing the lack of customer service enthusiasm since people have been getting back to work after Covid. But it's worse than previous average customer service that you would receive. It just seems like people could care less to be back at work, in the customer service realm, and there's no effort to help. There's no effort to resolve problems in a timely fashion. There's just no remembrance a pleasant experience. And I see the lower level customer service people tend to be new and in the training phase a lot. But I sent an email to who would be a little higher up the chain and consider to be in a coordinator position in email asking a basic question. As I've done previously. I still have not gotten a basic response. Yes or no. That's really all that is required. And I would think if you were spending thousands of dollars with a company and they are working on your physical being, there would be a bit more urgency to respond. A non response could affect your potential outcome of a procedure. The lack of response is unprofessional at this level where you advertise yourself on a commercial to be one of the best. You're in the healthcare field. As I myself am, so I take direct hits when I interact with people who are in the healthcare profession and they lack compassion, drive, expertise of their field and COMMUNICATION. All in all, I am almost a month postop, I am gradually seeing results. I pray that my results of my physical body does not reflect in any capacity the rating that I am giving the customer service. Or there will be another review three months from now, six months from now when the healing process is supposedly complete. honestly if the service was better in San Jose or Sacramento, I would happily drive the 45 minutes to 2 hour for better customer service alone. They used various tactics to "sell" me and separate me from my money. I was insulted 3 times by the sales agent. I am not a fan of staying awake while someone does surgery on me and has me doped up so I don't remember. Any problems or complications after surgery is "your" responsibility and your problem. If they do correct a problem you will pay upwards of $2400 each time. They aren't classy enough to do invasive procedures in my opinion. read more

This was the worst decision I've ever made. I wish Yelp had a zero star because even a zero is more than this business deserves. I had "laser lipo" here in 2021 after seeing commercial after commercial from this company on TV during the pandemic. There was nothing "laser" about it from what I experienced. I was repeatedly jabbed/stabbed with a metal rod that was so excruciatingly painful it woke me up out of the sedation. I was in so much pain after the procedure I could barely walk to our car. The next morning I was dripping bloody fluid all over my floor trying to hobble hunched over to the bathroom. I was in pain and on pain meds for weeks. I cannot put into words how much I hurt. It's now been well over two years ago and my stomach still hurts. Among other things, I was told some people say it feels like a thick rubber band is stretched around your stomach. Absolutely true. It's a terrible feeling that has never gone away. I honestly feel they did internal injuries but I have not been able to get any help since this was a "cosmetic" procedure. After the procedure I ended up with diastasis recti. I did not have it before the procedure; it's said it's caused during pregnancy...but I was pregnant more than 30 years before the procedure and never had any bulge during all those years. It is my firm belief they jabbed the metal rod through my abdominal muscles but there's no way I can prove it. I hesitantly went back to discuss a "re-do". I was stuck in an exam room for over an hour and a half waiting for the "doctor" to come in. I was absolutely seething by the time she finally showed up. She was outrageously horrendous to deal with. She insisted there was no way they caused the bulge, I'd just have to seek pain management, and at one point flat out said "so what do you want us to do about it?" I left in tears of anger. Learned my lesson. Never again. I held off writing this review but I had to share so others don't go through what I went through and continue to go through. Visited the Sono Bello office in San Ramon for a FREE consultation and it was a really positive experience. The office is located right off the highway on Old Crow Road. The business is located in what is seemingly an industrial park in a building on the first floor shared with several different businesses. The office is midsized and the consultation lasts about 15-20 minutes. When you go into the office, you're asked to fill out a 4-5 page questionnaire with questions about your health history and health goals. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. One unique aspect is that staff have also had some of the procedures so they can share first hand knowledge and answer personal questions you may have. Sono Bello has over 90 locations nationwide and has countless customer reviews. One thing that you won't see on social media is that if you elect to have a procedure, they offer a "satisfaction guarantee." If you're not happy you can have another procedure at "no cost." The prices will range based on what you want to have done. The more you have the less it costs. Anticipate spending somewhere between $5000 - 10,000. For my postop today and met Shannon I was informed that they do need to run an IV so Shannon so graciously found a guy that would come in and do an ultrasound guided IV on me so I could get the procedure done on October 1. Super pleased with the staff and all of their concern for me I will for sure be back on yelp to let you know what happens after my procedure so far so good in my eyes I love my surgeon, she was super thorough and really seem to know what she was talking about. Both ladies were kind. My rating is on the entire experience as a whole at the Great America Parkway location (since it isn't on Yelp). The address was easy to find, but the office inside was a mystery. No signs or guidance prior to arriving. Luckily the receptionist saw me in the lobby looking lost and walked me in. She was kind, but the fake kind if that makes sense. She smelled strongly like cigarette smoke in the elevator, no mask and she wore a dress that was so short it made me uncomfortable watching her walk in it. When she saw me in the lobby she LOUDLY asked if I was looking for SonoBello. Immediately I was embarrassed. Zero discretion. I was told that I could have text her to guide me in. Walking to the office was interesting, it's a massive building with many businesses inside renting out spaces. Lots of empty space, cold feeling. The SonoBello office looked like a pop up office. I am not trying to be rude in anyway, just being honest. The doors were glass, no frost...zero discretion. The men in the office across the hall could look right in and see us anxiously waiting to have our insecurities analyzed. I was given a packet to fill out... they ask for a social security number. I regret providing mine, it seemed routine. Receptionist said it is used when we sign up...? Receptionist was short and abrupt when I answered her question, she wouldn't let me answer completely, she kept trying to get it over with it felt like. I had to repeat myself to get her to focus on what I was saying. She was spacey and kept playing with her hair. Just a heads up, that is the face of the company. I had already made decisions based off that alone. But I decided to complete the consult. The second lady came out to do my consultation. She was sweet, bubbly and easy to talk to. Great sales person! Cute as a button. She answered my questions and gave the pitch well. Unfortunately it came across more like a scripted and well executed presentation versus a medical procedure consultation. Cost... $8000 -10,000 for this experience. What threw me off what all the random discounts, this month only so hurry comment and the buy 3 sections and get the 4th free parts. $98 covid test... I won't even pay $20 for one. You're charged based off your BMI is what I was told. Then I read the other Yelpers reviews talking about how painful it is and another saying she was 3 pounds over and denied the day of surgery. How emotionally draining... I can't imagine. So.... I think it's best to opt out of this experience. I wasn't persuaded appropriately. But I enjoyed my chat with Mindy, she's a sweetheart. I think she gets commission of some sort because she painted a painless enjoyable experience to me. Yikes! Like I said...stellar presentation. I didn't have a great experience. Not only did my procedure not go well but my body will never me the same. My stomach is deformed and the other areas I paid for have no improvement. They are happy to take your money but then when they get in the operating room they realize that the maximum fat intake for what they told you they'd take is greater than what you have selected in the various areas. This was a horrible experience because the fact that I will no longer have fat in my stomach it goes to other places. My breasts have doubled in size and I hate that, my arms are huge. My hips and thighs are growing. I workout regularly however this experience has changed me for the worse. The proportions are not realistic to the human after the procedure. BEWARE! Ask more questions than I did. I'd rather keep my proportions before this surgery because this is the worst and I hate myself more now than I did before visiting sonobello. Omg it was brutal, I was told I won't feel anything & it'll be a painless procedure... Not the case at all I literally was praying to pass out from pain so I don't feel the pain but I stayed awake the whole time. Did anyone else feel the pain as much as I did ? I knew they wouldn't use general Anastasia but local Anastasia and the pain meds they gave me were supposed to do the trick. Sure :( not the damn case ! Well I'm just hoping for better results when I heal which isn't as fast as I thought but I'm still very fresh off the procedure I thought I'd do more areas but since the pain was sooo bad Obviously none of that is happening:( I'd say if you guys don't have very very high pain tolerance don't even think about it. I should've listened to my gut and noticed the . Everything else is too confidential to say 0 stars. Btw you're awake the whole time and you're the one flipping yourself over into different positions while being numb so painful. Deserves to go out of business. I visited the San Ramon, CA location of Sonobello on 8/18/23. I was interested in fat removed from my stomach and back area. I met with Consultant G. Sultani, she took my measurements, and I completed a health questionnaire. I disclosed on the health questionnaire, my medical history including high blood pressure and complex and simple partial seizures. I take medication for both conditions. The consultant reviewed the health questionnaire and had full knowledge of my medical history. With her knowing my health information, she proceeded with providing me with a price quote for the procedure. The Consultant called me on 8/21/23 to inquire if I would like to proceed with getting the surgery. I informed her I would like to proceed. During our conversation, I did notice some red flag warnings and I should have paid attention to the warnings and ended the process. During our call, her conversation was very rushed, and she was not clear in explaining the process and the payment plan. I would ask questions and her response was very condescending as if to say to me I already explained this to you. We once again went over my health history, and she asked me when the last time I had a seizure. I informed her my last complex seizure was nearly five years ago, but I still have simple seizures. She informed me I would need to get a medical clearance, unfortunately I am a Kaiser member, and Kaiser will not provide information to Sonobello. She told me I could meet with a doctor provided by Sonobell. Against my better judgement, I put a deposit of $4,000 down and we scheduled a pre-operative appointment for 9/18/23. My surgery was scheduled for 9/22/23. After the call, I felt my questions were not answered clearly and I still had several follow up questions specifically on the breakdown of the monthly payments based on the payment plan. I also wanted to know about the cost of adding fat removal from my thighs to the procedure. I sent a follow up email to the consultant on 8/22/23. I did not receive a response from her. I called the Sonobello office three days later since I did not receive a response. During this call, the consultant was very aloof and condescending in speaking with me again. I guess Sonobello already have some of my money, so no to practice good customer service and try to assist customers in a friendly way with their questions. I went to my pre-operative appointment on 9/18/23. During this visit, the medical assistant took my blood pressure. She took it three times! The MA stated your blood pressure is high, information I disclosed to Sonobello. She asked me again about my history of seizures and again I explained, I have not had a complex seizure in five years, but I still have occasional simple seizures. I finally meet with the doctor, and during the examination, she noted I had a hernia that I was not aware of. She said the hernia could be an issue with having the procedure. The doctor reviewed the SAME information AGAIN on my high blood pressure and seizures. The doctor advised it would not be a good idea for me to get the procedure due to my medical conditions. After meeting with the Doctor, I asked about a refund of my $4,000 deposit. The medical assistant said someone would be in touch with me. I did not accept this response from her due to the fact I had read a lot of negative reviews on Sonobello and the refund process. I asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to be clear on when they would process my refund and how long it would take. Initially the medical assistant told me the consultant was busy and she can give me a call. Again, I refused a call and told her I would wait to speak with the consultant. Finally, I meet with the consultant, and we discussed why I was unable to get the procedure. The consultant said refunds are processed on the first of the month and I would have to wait for the refund to be processed. The issue I have with Sonobello is the consultant was aware of my medical condition during my first visit. I believe the consultant knew there are certain medical conditions that disqualify a candidate for the procedure. The consultant was aware during my first visit my medical conditions disqualified me. The consultant should have ended our initial visit and explained to me I could not proceed with the process due to my medical conditions. Instead, the consultant knowingly deceived me. I put $4,000 down on a procedure Sonobello knew I could not get due to my medical condition. Three weeks have passed, and I have not received my refund. I discovered the the consultant lied about processing my refund. She never submitted my information for processing my refund. I called the Sonobello office on 10/5/23, to check on the status of my refund. The receptionist put me on hold and then came back to let me know there was no information in her system regarding a refund. The receptionist said the consultant would give me a call. My first round was excruciating, I was in so much pain and my results were mediocre, definitely not worth the 10,000 or the pain. I called them so many times for a year to get a revision. I purchased the Venus Legacy (5 areas) with thigh and knee lipo. I had the lipo done in November 2023. They use a procedure called 'Awake Localized Anesthesia'. You are not put under traditional anesthesia but provided oral medication to help put you to sleep. The surgery was done by Dr. Thomas. From the get-go it was bad. It took 5 times for them to get an IV started 'in the event an emergency arose'. During the procedure I awoke twice and stayed awake pretty much after the second time. Dr. Thomas got very frustrated and left the surgical room both times. It was very painful. The results after 6 months are horrible. I have large bumps, lumps, and large dimples all over my upper inner thighs. The inner knee area wasn't reduced like I was told it would be. I also purchased the Venus Legacy package (inner thighs, upper arms, Abs, waist, and buttocks) which was supposed to help with healing, reduction in cellulite and skin tightening. It is very important that a schedule be established (once a week) and that it be followed to get good results. I NEVER cancelled a single appointment. My first appointment was scheduled the first of December following surgery. I go in for my first treatment only to be told that the rest of December was booked, and they couldn't get the rest of my appointments scheduled until the second week of January. So this was a wasted treatment. They schedule my appointments for twice a week starting mid-January. One day two areas and the next day the other three areas. This goes ok for the first couple of visits until the machine breaks down and they don't have another one. Two weeks go by and they get a replacement. My treatments resume only they have changed the schedule to only once per week, the areas are done every other week. I start back with my treatments for one or two sessions only then the tech calls in sick. So, I miss my appointments for that week. The next week, she is still out sick, but they try to have someone fill in for her. She is not trained properly and is not professional in her demeanor. She apparently used the wrong head on the machine contrary to the treatment I was to be receiving. The trained tech comes back the following week and I have my treatment as scheduled. Then the week after that, she is late (2 hours) for my appointment. After sitting and waiting for two hours I couldn't wait any longer as I had another appointment I had to go to. I made a complaint to the manager Tiffany. She was well aware of the situation and apprised her Regional Manager. The following week I met with both of them, and they opted to start the treatments over again as they had changed me to only once per week. Unbelievable. They could no longer accommodate me in having all areas done during the same week as they were booked out. I was then changed to only the lower part of my body foregoing my upper part until I returned from vacation at the end of May. The whole reason for me doing this entire process I wanted to look good, refreshed before I left out of the country for a month at the end of April. The Venus Legacy is a complete waste of money!!! Nothing was tightened, no cellulite gone. The nurses were in agreement. There was no change in my body appearance with the Venus Legacy after spending Thousands of dollars. I realize not everyone has the same results. But there was absolutely NO Results with this therapy. The surgery was a complete failure. I look worse than I did before the procedure. I am so disappointed. Dr. Thomas no longer works there so I can't discuss my results with her. I would not recommend having any surgery or Venus Therapy at this location. I just read all of the 1 star reviews here. I had the opposite experience here. I had liposuction done on April 12th. From beginning to end, I had a great experience. My consultation started with Amanda, who was great. Very personable and knowledgeable. After my consultation, i paid my deposit. I scheduled my appointment for a month out. They gave me 3 prescriptions to get filled. Did that! I did everything that they told me to do before the surgery. Please make sure that you take the meds that they require to take. They day of the surgery. Well I was a bit nervous. They give you the "calming" meds. I thought that I wasn't medicated enough. Jackie was my nurse. She assured me that, I would feel the meds shortly. Dr. Satay came in. Marked me up for the surgery. Once I got to the surgery room, the doctor put on his playlist and got to work. It was as painful as I thought. I was awake the entire time. Total time in surgery was about 2 hours (maybe). My husband came to pick me. I was sore but that what happens after surgery. Today is August 6th. I would do it all again. I'm loving my results. The staff was very pleasant. The doctor was great as well. IN ORDER TO GET MAXIMUM RESULTS, PLEASE PLEASE FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS that they give you. read more

Amanda was great as my first contact. I went into have the lipo. There ended up being a time issue so Dr D did my arms & back. It hurt, but I handled it fine. Went in about a month later to have the front area done with skin removal. This time I couldn't handle the pain and had an anxiety attack so I was given more meds. I have absolutely no memory of the skin removal. That concerns me greatly. The pain/the anxiety was so bad I blacked out. It's not uncommon. The dr told me that I can make an appointment to see him. My 6 month appointment is in 3 weeks and it's with a nurse. I can make an appointment to see the dr after the 6 mos if I want revisions. The line where the stitches were doesn't look right; it's much larger than anticipated. It was a lot of money. read more

I really feel like I was somewhat scammed. Initially, I went in and saw Meagan for a consultation on October 28th for laser liposuction. She was nice and personable. She weighed me and told me how the procedure would go and what the cost would be. I decided to move forward and put a deposit down for $2000. Then on November 17, 2020, they took another $5,451. My next appointment was a pre-op appointment on November 23. I arrived. They took payment for a Co-Vid test that cost about $97. The office was packed and they were behind schedule. No problem. Subsequently, a personable nurse called me and apologized for the hour long wait time. She took me to a medical room and told me to put on the medical gown, medical bra and medicine underwear. She weighed me and said that I was 3 pounds over the weight allowed for the procedure (I didn't even know there was a limit). She stated that there was a possibility that the initial paperwork was marked incorrectly and that, that can unfortunately happen. She then said, "But, let me confirm with the doctor." Side note: The time was like 2pm. I am not a medical physician but daily weight fluctuation is normal and "can fluctuate up to 5 or 6 pounds per day...." Right? Hmmm.... She came back in the room and apologizes. She said the doctor initially thought it would be fine but then decided against performing the procedure (Key the trombone.... Womp! Womp! Womp!). So, slightly irritated. I ask, "So, what happens now?" The nurse said that she doesn't handle refunds and that the front staff would assist. Ok, Cool! Listen, I never saw the physician (EVER!) nor did I get the $97 Rona test. Okay, so after getting dressed, the nurse walked with me to the front desk. They say that the consultant would contact me by the end of the day. That never happened. I called back later that day and was told that the consultant was at the San Jose office but they would have her call. Fine. November 24th comes... I didn't hear anything. I call. I was told the consultant now works at the San Jose office but they will have her call me and that she is getting caught up on her calls... Okay. Fine. Me: ...... waiting* waiting* waiting*.... Yo, it's December 2nd. I haven't heard back from anyone from Sono Bello. Is this how you all run business? It can't be because I know people who had better service. *Sigh* I don't understand why the consultant has to contact me (she doesn't even work at the facility anymore). I didn't receive any services.... The physician didn't even step in the room to greet me. Why has it been over a week and I have not heard back from anyone. Why have I not been fully reimbursed?! I get that it's holiday season but there was never any follow up. I also get that the office was busy but I should have been reimbursed the moment I was told by the nice nurse (because remember I was never seen by the doctor nor did we ever meet) that I would not be getting services. What's more wild is, I remember overhearing staff talking to each other on October 28th and one said, "We are not doing things right..." Not sure what that was in reference to, but that should have been a red flag for me (even though the staff that I did come in contact with were all pleasant). First time considering body contouring and this was not the best experience. STILL waiting for a callback and refund. In the meantime I decided to pull out a jump rope and start running again. Instead of giving me some information to help me loss the weight to the program she just hung up on me to me that not very good customer services. If I can give this business a BIG ZERO stars I would! I have been trying been trying to resolve my account for over 5 weeks now! They always say they will have someone call me back. I've been placed on hold for long periods of time (over 10 minutes!) with no one even checking in on the call on hold. The front desk person (Ariel) just answers the call and mostly places me on hold for a long period of time or I'm told I'd be called back with nothing in return. That is horrible horrible business. The assistant managers or manager (names I've been given are Martha and Tiffany) has failed to call me back. Even now after over 5 weeks calling yesterday and they assuring me someone will call me back THEY HAVE NOT! They need to refund me which is obviously why they don't care to take this case as a priority. They can easily take the money but not return it when it's due. I have been more than patient with them after all this time. I would not trust this place. It begins with bad customer service then when you finally do see someone the place is not comforting or inviting in the patient rooms. Also one time while in person I had to wait 2 hours to finally see the "doctor" lack of professionalism all the way around. I will definitely be reporting them to the BBB. read more

I went in to have lipo in 2020 at the San Ramon location, I wasn't happy with my results .I waited 6 months to a year and still was not happy , my Dr. No longer worked there but another Dr agreed to a revision . I had to keep contacting them about scheduling . And I had a pre op and a surgery date , well almost time for pre op , I get a call saying my Dr that will be doing my revision is injured and they will contact me when he returns ! Well here it is 2022 and I never heard anything else from them since that last call ! And I just didn't even want to be serviced by them anymore so I never called them either ! Wait I just told you I'm pre approved for the entire amount for the surgery and the deposit and your questioning me about the legitimacy of what I just confirmed to you? Lady I have no reason to fabricate the truth and I do have options for this procedure. That's why I dealt with Megan. These people have snotty attitudes and don't realize procedures pay your salary!
