This was attached to my hotel (Marriott in Englewood, Co.). I came in late and accessed the restaurant via a QR code in my room to see the menu and order. Pretty cool feature! I ordered the green chili and pork soup. It was OUTSTANDING! Also got a burger and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly! The prices are "Hotel" prices, you do pay for delivery and a 20% fee. And while the value for the dollar wasn't the best, the capability to have a high quality food delivered to my room via an online experience was nice. It can be charged to your room, which was convenient. If you are staying there or nearby, give it a try! read more

Colorado Reuben with green chili-glazed pastrami, smoked cheddar, chipotle aioli, and house-pickled vegetables. That's what I ordered and that's what I got. Not that it was a bad Reuben, but it didn't do much for me. I should've known when the spelling of chile was chili. That's a food of a different type for me. Now, if they'd put green chile on the Reuben, that would be a sandwich. The pickled vegetables were good at least. If you're staying at the hotel and want some food there, this restaurant wouldn't be a bad option. I never knew this place was located in the Marriott until I bought the Groupon for lunch for two. Now, that explains why the prices are so high! We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and it was good. It was graduation weekend so they were a bit busy but service was quick and food was tasty and fresh. I got a burger and fries with an iced tea and can't complain about it but it really wasn't that memorable. Sent it back and said vegan is no dairy, it came out with about 1/4th the amount of food and drenched in oil, the waitress acted like we were a nuisance to her day although we were very kind. Wish I had taken a picture, it maybe was a cup of diced potatoes and peppers? When it came out again it tasted off so I didn't eat it. My husband ate his and is now sick. We paid almost $40 for sorry start to our Sunday. Feeling so disrespected and mad that we paid the bill. read more

We met for a business lunch here and it is a beautiful space that wasn't overly crowded. Our group straggled in and so we weren't the most cohesive table. Appetizers were ordered - mussels with black garlic, pretzel bites with beer-cheese sauce and butternut arrancini's. The mussels had a nice flavor and broth but we could have used some bread to soak up the sauce. The pretzels seemed like they were coated in oil and it was a little off putting visually but tasty. And the arrancini's had a nice crisp but could have used a hit of salt. We were chatting so the waitress kept her distance. Respectful but we had to ask to place our lunch order. I ordered the butternut, goat cheese and arugula flatbread minus the meat. It was a tasty dish. My colleagues all seemed to enjoy their food as well. read more

Nothing worse than cold food. Ordered their house sausage flat bread and had a couple of glasses of wine. Wine was great but the flatbread was cold. The problem was that the food carrier dropped the flatbread off at the bar and the bartender was too busy or not paying attention. My food sat there. I sent it back but no apology from the bartender. I had purchased a Groupon worth 40 dollars. After checking out the menu prices I decided that my money would go much further at lunch than dinner. So we came here for lunch today. We tried 4 things. We had 2 different salads (the Bibb lettuce/Spinach and the Cobb salad). We also tried the burger and the strip loin panini. The Bibb lettuce salad (with walnuts and apples) was excellent, the Cobb salad was pretty good. The burger was okay, however the panini was really odd. The meat was mushy and under seasoned. It all started one Friday night. My boyfriend and I were in search of a restaurant that: 1. Neither one of us had been to. 2. Offered a good deal on food/meals. 3. Had a killer patio and live music...if we're lucky. Now I realized our list may be hard to come by on a Friday night, but Sonoma'z offered all three! We were celebrating a birthday and decided this was the place to kick back, relax and enjoy the night...and enjoy we did. Here's the breakdown: Star #1= Although it's a little off the beaten path & located inside the Marriott, the location is pretty awesome. We were able to snag a table for our party of 6 on the patio [yay!], listened to music & watched the sun go down. The atmosphere of this place is awesome. It has an upscale feel but with a casual twist. The umbrellas outside are cloth, and lush gardens surround the outside, making it feel as though we aren't in Littleton anymore! With the live jazz playing, I was completely content. Star #2 = Wine is fantastic here! yum! Star #3= The food is amazing. They offer a 4 course meal [shared appetizer, two half salads, two entrees, and a shared dessert] all for a whopping $59. Considering the type of food, location and scale of the restaurant, we jumped on the killer deal! We noshed on the salmon cakes, along with the cheese plate [yum!], split the spinach salad with strawberries, I had the pleasure of getting the special [lump cod drizzled in thai sauce along with rice and snap pees!] while the bf opted for the flank steak with potatoes and veggies. Everything was to die for. Our dessert was outstanding as well! Star #4= Service was awesome! Our waiter checked back with us frequently [not enough to make him annoying or neglectful], made sure our drinks were never empty, and gave some great suggestions, as none of us had been there before. Awesome! Only downside? Be prepared to shell out a pretty penny for this, after all is said and done. Although the wine is fantastic, the prices aren't listed. Because i didn't want to sound like a frugal crazy person i didn't ask the prices, and was shocked when the bill arrived. I can't believe what a con this place is. The server is not to blame. She is attentive and thoughtful so I lay this on Marriott and the owners. I was a fine dining waiter for years back in the day and know when I smell a rat. First off I'm the ONLY one dining here. Big clue. I feel a bit ashamed for staying, but I came early and thought things would pick up. Second I ordered an Old Fashioned and there was an olive in it, along with the orange wedge. ?? Thirdly, when I asked for bread this is the response I got, " We didn't make any today." Make? Okay, that's cool a restaurant that makes its own bread. However the servers comment was "we are going through new management." So where does this meet with not having bread service? If you don't make it, buy it. I ordered a Ribeye. The cut is classically "marbled" so I expect some fat bit this $30 piece was 2/3 fat. The potatoes were awful. Wet and over seasoned. Don't come here. Go to a real restaurant with a management that thinks it's a restaurant and not just a front for room service. Ugh. read more

Stayed in the hotel for almost a week and mostly ate their breakfast for most of my stay then lunch and dinner for a couple times each. Service was best in the mornings with ( damm I forgot his name..middle aged tall guy) who really kicks up the casual talk. Sonoma'z Benedict was my favorite item to order if not ham and cheese omelet is the fluffiest omelet I've ever had. They also had breakfast buffet option. But service is hit or miss during dinner especially if eating outside(totally understandable even during times hockey teams are dining) Their salmon cakes and burger wasnt bad and their chicken wings and bacon wrapped meatloaf was surprisingly good. We came in for lunch on Saturday using a Groupon. The server was very nice and attentive. We were promptly seated as there weren't many diners. Our Groupon was $30 worth of food for lunch, not to be applied to alcohol. I thought it might be challenge to spend that much on lunch alone. Turns out the prices are a little high for what you get, so it was not a challenge after all. I ordered a cup of soup of the day which was potato and cheese. It had decent flavor but I think it came from a can. For lunch I ordered the Margarita Flat Bread pizza. It was awful. The bread was hard, the cheese wasn't completely melted and there was no flavor. I thought Margarita should have basil, but not on this one unless they just forgot it. I ate one piece and had no desire to eat any more. My man ordered the Angus Burger. He said it was just ok. He said it was definitely frozen patty for the burger and the fries were thin, frozen fries, nothing special. So needless to say we don't have any plans to return. read more

I'm giving it a 3, because my son & ex were very happy with their meals. The lamb chops were very good, as was the cedar plank salmon. Also, the waitress & staff were very good. If it was just their meals, it would be a 5 rating. The berrys cobbler dessert was also very good. I had the petite beef filet special, wrapped in bacon, medium. Everything on the plate was very good, except the steak, which was cooked very well done, and tasteless. They very graciously cooked me another one, and it was cooked correctly. It just wasn't very good. I don't know if it was just poor quality, either the steak itself, or the cooking method. Thanks to the sides, tastes from my companions, and the excellent fresh, hot breads, I wasn't very hungry and quit after a few bites from the uninspiring steak. This is my husband's favorite place for breakfast so we decided to bring our family here for the Thanksgiving lunch. It was amazing! There was lots to choose from and everything we tried was awesome. I've never wanted to go out to eat for Thanksgiving but I might have to reconsider after today. Glad I finally gave in and agreed to have Thanksgiving dinner here instead of cooking at home. We come on the weekends for the brunch pretty often and it's always great. Everyone is so friendly and sweet to our kids. So it's a great place to eat any time. read more

Service was friendly and very attentive. Easter brunch's price was raised quite a bit and way more than other restaurants. Food was delicious though the prime rib roast was a bit chewy. Dessert selection wasn't as much as what they offered before CoViD 19, we haven't been for 2 yrs due to CoViD. There were no Easter decorated cookies at all. The bottomless mimosa's price is a little steep since I always only have 1 glass. The dining area was not Easter decorated except for the mantle area. This restaurant is located on the main floor of the Marriott Denver South at Park Meadows, near the mall. It has a wonderful patio and some neat things going on in the summer. They have live music Thursday nights, and from 5-8 have appetizers made outside on the grill. This restaurant is nice inside, and the food is good. The feel they are going for is casual grill meets upscale california fresh seafood, and I think they hit the mark pretty closely. I do not like them as much as California Cafe, but they would be my second favorite so far in the area for "California Fresh" food. The seafood is good quality, and the wine selection was mostly CA (a lot from Sonoma, hence the name), with a handful from other places (Colorado, Washington, Germany, Oregon if I remember right). I had the Tuna which was very nicely done. I didn't have dessert but they looked good. They had Cherries Jubilee on the menu which I never see, and is one of my favorites! They had a list of dessert wines and drinks also. The only reason it's not a 1 is because at least the place was clean. The TL;DR of it is that literally nothing was good about this place, not the service, the food, the prices, not even the water. When we arrived, there was a couple already there, and those poor people got their food after us... LONG after us. They even ordered alcohol unlike us, but their service was downright bad as well. When we were finally acknowledged and seated, it took another long while before we were given menus. Once we were acknowledged, we were given water (which was all we wanted) we noticed a super funny taste. In this expensive restaurant, it tasted like old tap water they just served us. The bread we were offered, not asked for but offered, came out after our meal and was exactly two slices of stale bread. Our food was mediocre for the price tag it comes at, nothing awful but nothing particularly good (and it ended up upsetting my stomach later). We needed our check, and even rather loudly hollered "Ma'am" and got flat out ignored. The manager was more attentive than our waitress and that's not saying much, plus only 3 tables with people in the place. Absolutely ridiculous, never going back read more

Free pool. Cool bartenders. The draft beer didn't taste right (especially the Fat Tire) but they had plenty of bottled beer. Food is good but not worth what they charge. If you are crashing at the Marriott it is definitely worth a stop for the free pool, large bar (2 HD tvs) and a couple of the coolest bartenders Ive met. If you decide to eat then you have to get some mashed potatoes. So delicious. I know its sad when best part of their food is the mashed potatoes. read more

My friends and I stayed for dinner after a fabulous event put on by the restaurant so feel left down staying for dinner. Maybe the chef had left things to different "late night" chef....but we just had to review the dinner part as it was sub par. They didn't have enough staff, food took forever, and everyone at the table had complaints (buns for the burgers were stale, what they called a flatbread was appalling....a long cracker with tomatoes and mozzarella drizzled with some dressing....it was no Margaretha, some folks had delays getting their food. The prices were high for what was served. Posting this in hopes that they fix their menu and provide better service because we love the location, ambiance and do want to come back. read more

This five star rating is exclusively for server Ian! My husband has stayed at this hotel now for several months and I recently came out to visit him. It appears he is being well taken care of! Ian is a wonderful addition to this establishment... We had the breakfast buffet which, for me, I had an outstanding array of nuts and grains to add to their homemade oatmeal. Ian was quite attentive and kept our juice and water glasses filled throughout the meal which truly helped to combat the dryness of Colorado. We happened to be staying there over the weekend of a magnificent snowstorm and the restaurant was well stocked and seemingly well prepared for this meteorological event! We also stopped by for dinner and the service was a bit slow but the food was good and well prepared. I had the chicken strips which were made with an house made batter. It's a small portion as it is an appetizer but it was quite filling for me. Their house made guacamole is also quite good and is a very large portion. The warm tortilla chips make all the difference! This restaurant is a an acceptable option for breakfast lunch and dinner, particularly to the captive audience of the hotel guests. We chalked up the slow service at dinner perhaps to those who chose to order room service and watch the falling snow from their rooms. read more

I was very excited to take my wife and son here for Mother's Day dinner. While reviews are mixed, we had high hopes. What a let down. - Food is a fancied up version of Denny's. - House Margarita was served in a beer glass with bottled mix....nasty. - First dirty Martini was ok, second was disgustingly sweet and obviously made wrong. I sent it back. - Cedar plank salmon was overdone - Resotto was full of butter and salt and undercooked. - My wife's salmon BLT looked like it came from McDonalds. - The appetizer bread was sliced supermarket sourdough with dirty grill marks. At 7:30pm the place was deserted and there was only one server working. I have reservations here for tomorrow for Mother's Day brunch and there is no way we are keeping it. Safe your time and $.
