I sure wish I read these reviews before I took my vehicle here. Three weeks late, after many promises that it was "in painting, will be done in a few days." I went to Son's Collision because my insurance company recommended them. I was told when they gave me an estimate to replace my fender it would take 3 days. It took 10 days with no explanation from them for the delay. Do not use them unless you have all the time in the world. read more

I work dealing with customer service all day and so far this place really needs a lesson or two in that. I don't remember the name of the guy I spoke to at this place but just know that I am a customer to your business, you shouldn't be raising your voice at me. Okay, sorry this whole process isn't my profession so it may take a little bit for me to register but how dare the guy to have had raised his voice saying, "which part of this do you not understand??" Like excuse me??? Ok I'm sorry that I annoy you with my questions and that I am confused but there's no reason to talk to me like that. Please improve in that area because I'm a little offended after that conversation. I don't know if I'd recommend this place to anyone at the moment. Was instructed to bring my car here for an insurance claim, at first staff was polite, but then as the days went forward the increasing level of incompetence grew. First a lot of back and forth between the autobody and myself or should I say my wife. I had purchased some OEM parts and asked them to install them also stated that the part manifest was in the glove compartment obviously they dont communicate amongst themselves because the calls asking about parts missing was obvious. Second problem which they mentioned to me, since I had purchased some parts out of pocket they said we can tell the insurance so they can cut me a check...yeah that didnt not happen, on the appraisal for the body work I got from the insurance stated like the autobody quoted them so they got the $400+ I spent so at this point I saw they are not honest. Third they told the insurance my fender wasnt painted how do I know, well the insurance called to find out of course they didn't want to pay for it. Which I understand on the insurance part but really Sons I mean you sprayed the bumper had the paint mixed and everything, you could've just sprayed the fender. (You made money off of me from the parts I purchased painting the fender was the least you could have done).But here's the kicker they had the audacity to tell me when I came up to pick up the car how much it would be to get the fender painted. Like C'mon if you really wanted my business you could've let me know prior so if I wanted my fender painted I could have paid so when I pick up my car it would have been done. Also on multiple occasions I asked for an appraisal for the entire car, everytime I asked there response was, "it's going to be expensive" so that wasn't professional I feel anyway. And last but most definitely not least. After almost 3 weeks now having my car back I keep finding things they did incorrectly and did not do at all!!! Then did not install the underbody engine shield correctly, so many left over parts/ nuts and bolts. My battery try was loose( removing it was pointless, could've just disconnected the battery). And after further inspecting the car my windshield wiper fluid funnel was missing the but that holds it into place. Also looking under the car I why the engine shield wasnt installed properly, they never fixed the car the frame/chassis is bent and plastic pieces are still broken. I will never advise anyone to bring there car here. I will take the time and call the insurance and notify them cause these people do not represent good work. read more

I came here the other day to have my 17 Malibu Premier repaired. It was a GEICO recommended facility, but they stressed I could go anywhere. I came to Sons because they were close and convenient. I had a 10 am appointment and I was on my way in a brand new rental in less than 15 minutes. The service from the owner and GEICO rep was impeccable. I was floored. Professional, knowledgeable, honest, absolutely no BS. Car done immaculately and ON TIME AS PROMISED. I get solicitations constantly on switching insurance companies, from now on right to the recycle pile. Believe me when I tell you the work was excellent, paint perfect and car cleaned. And the GEICO rep was an ace and helped with my 100 dollar (Comprehensive claim)deductible by working with me. Hats off and major kudos to Sons Autobody and GEICO. They have it down to a science. After another car merged into me(!), I was guided to Sons by my insurance GEICO. 1) Very friendly staff, manager on duty to consult. 2) Geico representative Zack is very good and efficient at his work. 3) Quick estimate, and updates via phone, email and text messages. 4) Finished faster than promised. 5) Returned the car cleaned and ready. They did a great job in every part of the repair and repaint. There are minor things (mine had some excessive buffing creating a lighter/whiter color mismatch) that you will always have with these kinds of repairs. They did their best to fix it (with more buffing?) but the lightness remains. They promised to repaint if it gets worse and bothers me. What matters is their willingness to stand behind their work, and correct if necessary and Sons proved to do both. I'm currently satisfied with the fast and good work they did. I'm just watching the color mismatch, if it gets worse with sun exposure, etc. I recommend them to anyone who needs good, fast and friendly repairs. read more

The front desk people are nice and courteous. The work done my vehicle looks nice but they left garbage stuck to my tires and I also found a small puddle of water in my back passenger holding area. I had to get a repair at this facility recommended by my insurance company. I had to bring my car there twice for the job to be done correctly. Staff there was unprofessional. On my dash cam saw my car being abused by staff: unnecessary revving of the motor, e-brake usage to make tire screech, objects being thrown at my car, a staff member being coached on how to learn to drive manual using my car, and being called a "f**king loser". DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THIS PLACE WILL DISMANTLE YOUR CAR AND BILL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY TO KEEP THEIR GREEDY BUSINESS AFLOAT. You will receive a text message that your car is ready for pick up after they cashed your insurance check and performed unnecessary repairs to your car on your dime. There is no signs posted regarding cash payments. I was told that there was no balance due and I received a court summons now I have to waste hard working taxpayers dollars to go back and forth over he said she said nonsense meanwhile there are real insurance scams crimes being committed and this business wants to flood the court system with nonsense when they received more then ample payment by Geico to perform the estimate within Geico's payment guidelines. The owner with threaten you that he has family members that are employed with the Greenbrook police department as a scare tactic targeting stay at home moms that has no knowledge of auto insurance claims. I am filing a formal complaint with the attorney general the better business bureau. I will not allow another stay at home mom to fall victim to these body chop shop thieves. read more

They specialize in making further damages on your car when they're "fixing" other parts of your car. Progressive sent my car to this place, and well, it's been 3 weeks now and they haven't done anything right. Oh, and to top it off, they were eating in McDonald's in my car while all this "fixing" was happening. I don't even eat McDonalds, let alone eat ANYTHING in what was my BRAND NEW CAR. Thanks Sons for ruining that for me. My car was hit by an elderly gentleman. He was confused but managed to give me his Geico insurance card. I contacted Geico and after covering what happened, they said they would pay for everything. They suggested Son's Collision in Green Brook, NJ. After some research I agreed. I took the car in for an estimate and indicated that I had to have the car back in a week. From beginning to end, including daily status reports, the experience was excellent. They did a fabulous job on the repair, which includes a lifetime warranty. read more

Very well organized and professional staff, from the moment of intake, to assessment, loaner car and return. 15 minutes in and out to drop off and ten minutes at return. Bodywork equally as phenomenal. Detailed list of work undertaken which was completely unnoticeable if looking at the vehicle. Grateful for their attention to detail and responsiveness. They treated my Toyota like a Bentley. Super sensitive to my plight as the victim of a hit-and-run, sharing insights from similar experiences which lessened my grief, anger and frustration. read more

I took my car there for them to fix. All I had to do is pay my 500 dollar deductible. They called 1st time to pick it up and the work was horrible. The seems didn't line up and he paint was horrible. So I left it there again and they called to and said it was done. When I got there same thing horrible. So he told me he was gonna repaint it. So now we are on the 3rd time and I got there just the same crap. And get this the air conditioning in the car was not working. My car is brand new a 2016 Mazda cx3. Not even 1 year old. They inspected my whole car when I dropped it off and didn't put that on the report. I also have the report that is signed off by them stating that all ac is working. They said they are not responsible for that and they won't fix it. DO NOT GO HERE. They are horrible. They act all nice and they just want your money. Stay away. read more

Around Christmas my car was keyed by some random jerk. Geico had me use Sons Collision to do the repairs and I'm glad they did! They kept me informed of the work and went above and beyond to make sure all repaired areas were blended into the car. My car looks better than ever and has a year warranty on the work! AVOID this place at all costs. They gave an initial estimate of $1400 for the work which somehow rose to over $2,000 by the time they started a few days later. They held the car for multiple days as if they had no care in the world. When it was done, while questioning why they only allowed some of the bill to be paid by credit card and why I would have to pay cash for the difference the rude woman who works the front desk started getting belligerent. Very unprofessional and it continued when I went in to pay. If you don't mind getting worked over and bad customer service this is the place for you. read more

These guys did a decent job on the body repair, but it took a lot longer than quoted and when we picked up the car it was really dirty. Worse yet, when they appraised the damage they used some kind of special pen. My car still has words and lines written in the finish. I would not recommend these people. read more
