Impressed! This giant location is perfect for working or gathering. So much on tap that I was not sure what I wanted. I went with my go-to ice latte with oat milk and vanilla + a bagel. I ordered a cold brew coffee and the avo toast with a "soft" cooked egg and paid 14.32 for the meal. The egg was over cooked as in my mind If you call it a soft cooked egg the yolk should be runny. The flavor fell flat. The bread was nice but the whole thing was just bland. Could benefit from citrus... they offer pickled onion on some of their other options which I bet would be a better alternative. The cold brew coffee was nothing special. I guess I'm leaving just feeling sour in that I overpaid for a formulaic urban coffee shop experience. Went there today because my friend and I are history teachers and nerds! We both had the liberty latte . Not only was the coffee very tasty but it was served at a perfect temperature ! I have never had a Latte that was so perfect. I also loved the way it's design stayed in place until the very last drop! Staff was excellent , plenty of open room and comfortable seats. Pretty decent coffee shop that we happened to stumble upon before our trip to Dallas. We liked the nice view of the huge US Postal Service building across the street which made the name of this coffee shop even more fitting. One thing that was unique about this spot was finding a lot of their coffee drinks on tap. On tap! I'd never seen that as a coffee shop before. We ordered their signature SOL drink which tasted pretty similar to a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was decent....I'd give it a solid 4/5. It didn't really give me the energy I'd expect for the amount of money we paid. The service was good, and the merchandise that they sold was cute too. I've been so impressed with Sons of Liberty each time I've gone! It's a great place to meet with friends or do some sort of work where you can wear headphones (I personally can't study with coffee shop noise). The coffee is really good! I will say that the size of an iced latte is mildly disappointed for the price, so if you're used to getting a venti iced coffee at Starbucks you might want to switch your coffee order here. [LOCATION/PARKING] Sons of Liberty is walking distance near the Water Gardens. It has a industrial warehouse type of vibe to it. For parking, you have options to do metered parking in front of the shop or behind the shop in the parking garage. On the 1st floor, there's a few spots that are available to park in. If you can't find any spots on the 1st floor, you'll have to go up to the 2nd floor and just make you read the garage signs since some of the parking spots are marked for other businesses/apartment residents. There's a lot of seating and outlets in this coffee shop. They have seating along the walls and also lots of tables throughout the shop. There may be times where it gets really busy and occupied but you should at least be able to find some seating. It's a nice place to meet up with friends/colleagues and study for long periods of time. There's 2 individual bathrooms in the back of the shop. Free wifi with password! [SERVICE] The baristas are very friendly and nice! I've always had fun conversations with them and whenever I need suggestions on what to get, they're really helpful about that too. They always have great music playing too! I find myself Shazaming a lot of the songs when I'm there. [COFFEE/FOOD] For first timers, I would definitely recommend the Liberty Latte. They include a housemade syrup that adds a sweet flavoring to the latte. I also enjoy getting the regular latte. I've had some friends who have ordered the Corado and have enjoyed it. They also have some pretty good avocado toasts! My favorite is definitely the Hippie Toast which has onions, roasted tomatoes, and sprouts. The combination just works really well. Great coffee. They stick to the basics like a good coffee shop does. Don't come here for a weird concoction of sugar. They have all the basic coffee and tea drinks and a few syrups and milks to choose from. They don't spend time make the atmosphere fancy but I wish they'd do a little bit to make it a little more comfortable and inviting. Very industrial looking. The first impression I have is wow: What a nice place! It's really open and spacious. There are a couple of long community tables, equipped with easily accessible power outlets (great if you plan to stay long and work there), as well as small tables and bar-like seats against the walls. The side facing the main street is all glass windows. If you like natural sunlight, get a seat there. The interior is very simple and plain with primary white decor. The drink menu is not huge, but it covers all your basic beverage needs. In case you want something to munch on, they have an in-house taco menu, available any time of all day. It was 90+ degree outside, so I ordered their cold brew nitro. It tasted decent, modestly chilled. But I would like to have more nitro gas infused for a more foamy and smooth feel. It still had a pleasant bitter aftertaste though. My daughter ordered a cold chai latte. It was from concentrate, so it was very sweet and not so spicy. It was still pretty good though! If you happen to roam in the downtown area, especially on a hot, steamy day, come by and give it a try. read more

I was staying at the Omni Hotel for work and was on the look out for good local coffee places. Thankfully, I stumbled on this goldmine!! It was a short walk from the Omni and very easy to get to. I wanted to get a quick and easy breakfast with a latte. I ordered 2 of their breakfast tacos (not made in house at the time btw) and a sweetened Latte with Oat Milk. It came out pretty quickly and I was impressed that while the tacos werent the prettiest, they were actually really tasty. The latte was a little too sweet for me but I could see someone with a sweet tooth liking it. I ended up coming back later that day during my lunch hour break and decided to try something else. I got the Smoked Lavender Latte that time and OH was it good. They used actived charcol with lavender sryup. Just keep in mind to check your teeth/lips after you drink one!! Sons of Liberty is the first coffee shop I've tried in Ft. Worth but it compares nicely with the higher-end coffee establishments in Dallas. I'd need to try more of their offerings before I could say where it falls in the pecking order but this first visit made me want to return! I had the Liberty Latte, their signature drink, and it was delicious. Perfect hint of sweetness from their house-made simple syrup and it was evident that quality beans had been used for the espresso. Also had a breakfast taco which was quite good. Very soft tortilla (my favorite) and fantastic bacon. Additionally, they have very large amount of space, perfect for meetings, work, or studying. Came in with my kids today and was greeted by a friendly barista who was super helpful as I decided on my drink order. He allowed me to sample the oat-chata (horchata with oat milk) and Chai on draft. On draft, people! Both are DELICIOUS. I decided to get the chai and it was fantastic! One of the best chai tea lattes I've ever had. Perfect balance of spice and sweetness. What really makes this place stand out among the other great coffeehouses in Fort Worth is one word: QUALITY. They use the best ingredients to create a great quality drink. Also, they sell Bradley Mountain leather goods, The Modern Romantic candles and more. Pretty cool. There is plenty of seating, including tables and chairs, bar seating, window seating and leather couches with coffee tables in between. This place is industrially beautiful y'all. Bring your camera or get ready to snap some pics on your iPhone because the lighting is on point!! Free parking is available in the parking garage behind the back of the shop, so don't worry about downtown parking fees. This trip I decided to give into the siren call of the pumpkin spice latte (It being gourd season and all). The staff was friendly and took pride in their work, I could tell however, not in a pretentious way like some austin coffee bars can be. After they called my name to collect my autumnal beverage, I was immediately impressed with the appearance of the coffee. It was titilating. First impression of the crafted PSL was the following: 1. Perfect drinking temperature. 2. Good blend of spices 3. Smooth coffee Although the PSL was a solid good cup of joe, I got the impression they have a better cup out there for me. A cup that would rival all the other past good cups I've had at other craft coffee places. But not this trip. No, this trip belongs to the craft PSL. I will have to come back and try something new. First time back in a looongg time. Ordered a dirty oatchata and hubs got an espresso tonic (seasonal). Our drinks were VERY GOOD. Espresso tonic is a refreshing, bubbly citrus tasting espresso if you can imagine that. Oatchata is a subtly sweet horchata (not overly cinnamon-y) with a touch of that barely bitter espresso flavor. Lots of seating and outlets available. Beautiful natural lighting in the daytime, with windows facing the historical post office. Free parking in the garage behind the building or parallel street parking out front (free after 6pm on weekdays or on weekends). This has become a go-to place to study after work. A great place to study, although it can get loud at times. The place is usually filled with regulars who go on about their business so it's easy to get work done. There are various types of seating to fit any type of preference and its huge for a coffee shop. I love the dirty iced chai (I'm not too sure on the name). I have also gotten the chocolate milk nitro cold brew which was alright; the proportions are half and half but I just don't get a lot of chocolate milk flavor out of it. I really enjoy the prosciutto grilled cheese. I would probably pass on the hippie toast again as there are probably better avo toasts around. I will def keep coming back to get work done. read more

More than just a cool laptop sticker. Coffee shops are popping up at the rate of hamburger joints these days (not a bad thing), and with that saturation it's becoming more of a challenge for discerning patrons to find a place worthy of repeat visits, and stay excited about. Sons of Liberty is capable of sustaining interest and provides quality coffees, teas and snacks to pair with your beverages. Tasty pastries, small plates, sandwiches, hot and cold drink options with more than a few signature items are only part of the appeal here. The atmosphere is the real MVP here as during the day their large windows welcome abundant natural light and as the sun gets out of view the sensibly placed museum inspired lighting becomes more apparent. There are as many outlets available as there are seating options here, so unless they are slammed there shouldn't be any issues competing for power here. Almond milk fans will be in good company here and their dairy milk offered is hormone and antibiotic free and obtained from "vegetarian cows." I'm not a sweets pusher but if you're asking for recommendations here that hit the spot and don't over-do it, then you'll be well positioned to purchase a blueberry muffin and a "Liberty Latte." I order their iced coffee with almond milk more than any other here, but a hot Earl Grey won't be a bad decision either. Go forth, do good things. read more

I was visiting Dallas for the weekend and was headed back to Wichita Falls, my wife and I wanted some coffee before our trip. I told her to find me a place and we'll go. Since my wife knows how much of a patriot I am to this amazing country. She showed me a sons of Liberty coffee shops. Automatically the name drew me in all the way from Dallas. I was Excited to go to this coffee shop because I was thinking this was going to be an all out American history experience of early America. As I walked in, I was very disappointed. It was a new hipster trendy type coffee shop. There wasn't anything about America in there. I mean the name of your coffee shop is "sons of Liberty" some of the biggest patriots of early America. Who fought and died for the country. Not to see a single Betsy Ross flag, join or die flag, a rattle snake, and not even our current American flag. What a disappointment it was to see. Instead promoting the foundation of America this place was full of people wearing those sandals with socks. I just think that if you are gonna use the name sons of Liberty, you should probably promote the meaning of it. I did see that light up sign that gave a brief statement about the sons of Liberty. Which was nice, but it was far more than just people sharing similarity. What also made me laugh was the sons of Liberty were against taxes. Yes the coffee was taxed. Yes I know there is state taxes. But at least subtract that from the price of your coffee, to stand with the name of your coffee shop. So I got a black coffee, it wasn't bad. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Sons of Liberty Coffee. I visited with my family and we had to change our baby's diaper before we left, which put us about 12 minutes past our 30 minute free parking in the garage. We walked into the parking garage to find our car booted with a ridiculously high charge of $118.25 to remove the boot. When I asked the barista what could be done, he basically said "nothing". I realize that this fiasco says nothing about the quality of their drinks/food or the ambiance of the shop (both of which we previously loved)... however, the owners of SOL needs to work out an agreement to validate parking. This experience put a bitter taste in my mouth and I'd advise anyone to avoid SOL until they work out their "free parking in back" situation. read more
