I was looking for a coffee shop downtown to get some work done when I decided to check out Hogan Alley. Their concept of coffee shop during the day meets cocktail bar at night intrigued me. There was ample seating inside and they have an open wall that leads directly out to their patio. It was chilly the day I went, but I'm sure I would enjoy it more when the weather is nicer. I ended up ordering a coffee and a sandwich and they were both really good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This was definitely one of my favorite places to work remotely at in downtown Fort Worth. read more

I feel like I manifested Hogan Alley lol I need to visit again to make sure it is a real place lol It was EXACTLY what I was looking for at the time, but I had no idea this establishment existed. The coffee gods heard me It was perfect. The bartender was fun, friendly & knowledgeable. I went with her suggestion - a cold brew with a generous splash of oatmilk & caramel both as a syrup & as a drizzle over the top. I "think" that was my order. Yum. Really good. Cozy, a little funky, still classy. The back of the building opens to a courtyard for outside sitting. Also, there's a small area in front if you want to sit outside. A very cute cafe with lots of seating options. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. There are games at some of the tables and the staff is very friendly. The croissants are good and so is the coffee. The only downside of this place is the location as parking is hard to find if you're not willing to pay to park. read more

This place has been on my list to go as my husband likes a cocktail and I'm more of a coffee drinker and I liked the fact it has both to offer. You seat yourself and order at the bar like a coffee shop. I actually decided to try an espresso martini the raspberry mocha, they had a cool sounding selection but my hubby ended up drinking it because the alcohol was way too strong for me I could only taste coffee and whiskey. He got an old fashioned he said it was ok. The inside was a cool coffee shop vibe with a western vibe lots of people were on their laptops working. The girls serving us were ok not super friendly but not unkind either just doing their job . It was the afternoon but my husband also got a sausage and egg burrito he said that was the best part of the experience. I've greatly enjoyed my experience at Hogan Alley. I came on a late Sunday morning and stayed throughout the afternoon. It was calm, quiet, and never got super busy. Will say that there is minimal regular seating. Mostly couches with high tables. However, great cozy study spot. I also appreciate that they stay open later compared to other coffee shops, making it a great spot for a later study session. I got an iced chai and coffee cake, which were decent. Do think it's a tad bit cheaper here, but overall pretty comparable to other coffee shops. The baristas are super kind and bring drinks and food orders to you at your table. Main issue is that there's street parking. Thankfully, it's free on weekends and after 6 pm on weekdays. I'll for sure be going back soon! read more

Living in downtown Fort Worth allows me to frequent a handful of coffee shops within walking distance, one of which is Hogan Alley. I've been there a handful of times and love the atmosphere, coffee, and the friendly service. My only complaint is the inconsistency with the availability of food. They have been without food most of the times I've been there. read more

The coffee is so bad... I mean so so bad. McDonald's coffee is better. I know they don't take coffee seriously. They ran out of cups and I should have known that was a red flag. Conveniently located, very good hours. Friendly staff. I've enjoyed their Northside which is a spiced mocha late. And their Arnold palmers are amazing with homemade sweet tea and lemonade. Very cute, classy and quiet space. It is relatively early on a Saturday so maybe the crowd hasn't yet arrived, but the noise level fits the vibe. The decor is remnant of a Smokey lounge space leading to the back where the bar is with a comfortable amount of bar seating and standing room. The patio was open since it's a nice day and the crowd is growing as we sit and I enjoy my Carajillo off of the "dirty coffee" menu with a mod of my own; which was received without a second thought. I'll definitely be returning now that the weather says it's ok to come out and play. read more

Holy smokes, what a nice space. Hogan Alley FTW sits in downtown, open early, and closes late. By day, it's a coffee shop, by night, a bar. I had a cortado. The beans were dark, maybe too dark, but the drink was well-made. They serve a signature coffee called The Fairmount, named for the neighborhood, with amaretto and ginger. They source their beans from 2 Hats Coffee in Edom and Enduro in Fort Worth. Drink names all nod to Fort Worth. For example, "The Horned Mule," made with vodka, puréed prickly pear, and ginger beer. Inside, it's spacious. Maybe 25 tables, at least? You won't fight for space. There's an outdoor patio, too, where dogs are allowed, but only outside. Snacks come from Black Rooster Bakery and Art of Grazing. I'd love to work from here from time to time if they'll have me. Their hours are 7 am to 10 pm on weekdays, 8 am to midnight on weekends. read more

I tried the everything croissant with cream cheese and it was delicious. I also had the cherry cold brew, but it was a bit sweet for my liking. I ended up buying a regular cold brew with cinnamon and cream as well. I liked that a lot more. Great place to hang with friends, study, or have a first date. Loved it! read more

Hogan's alley is a late night coffee shop on Houston Street across from Archibald bar. They have coffee, teas, and latte. They also have "dirty" coffee which is spiked with alchy. They have comfortable seating. On certain nights they have open mics and karaoke. read more

I'm in coffee heaven! I'm staying at a nearby hotel and wanted something better than the usual hotel coffee. I found Hogan Alley on Yelp and walked over. I mean, why not? I can't recommend it enough. It's a large, beautiful coffee shop that offers food and boozy drinks later in the day. They had pastries but there was nothing special about them, frankly. The lovely barista suggested the Northside Latte, one of their non-alcoholic drinks (It was 9:30 in the morning!). Made with espresso, oat milk, vanilla, mocha, and cinnamon; it was good. But what made it great was a hint of cayenne! Seriously? It just wakes up your mouth and sets it on fire. I'll be back tomorrow for another cup. It's too far for a daily stop but if I'm ever back in Sundance Square, I'll be sure to stop in. And you should, too. read more

Perfect spot for a casual night out with friends. It has all the ambience of a hipster coffee shop that makes a seemingly perfect transition into your favorite evening bar. The decor was trendy but still comfortable and has just a hint of Fort Worth country to pay homage to the cities culture. We didn't try all of the drinks, but the wine was great, which is sometimes surprisingly hard to find in Fort Worth. And the bartenders were very laid back and friendly, like a millennial version of Cheers! They also had live music that wasn't overbearing so we could still have a conversation. I'm really excited Hogan's opened. I feel like it's the type of bar that's been missing in Fort Worth. This will definitely be our before and after dinner hangout! read more

What an awesome place! I love that they have pretty much everything that you would want out of a coffee bar...coffee- with or without whiskey as well as specialty drinks, beer-all delicious if you ask me, and wine. Another really neat aspect is their walkup refrigerator that has tons of canned microbrews...a very diverse selection so it would be hard to not find something that you like. They also have sandwiches and salads that look very hearty but I have yet to try.....what I have tried though are their pastries. My wife and I love the blueberry muffins. I would say that we get one at least 2-3 times a week! But by far the best aspect of this quaint and warm coffee bar is the staff. We absolutely love all of the staff members because they make you feel like family- sort of like the old Cheers show "Norm!" when you walk in. This is my spot now!
