This place has been on my list to go as my husband likes a cocktail and I'm more of a coffee drinker and I liked the fact it has both to offer. You seat yourself and order at the bar like a coffee shop. I actually decided to try an espresso martini the raspberry mocha, they had a cool sounding selection but my hubby ended up drinking it because the alcohol was way too strong for me I could only taste coffee and whiskey. He got an old fashioned he said it was ok. The inside was a cool coffee shop vibe with a western vibe lots of people were on their laptops working. The girls serving us were ok not super friendly but not unkind either just doing their job . It was the afternoon but my husband also got a sausage and egg burrito he said that was the best part of the experience. I honestly wouldn't rush back for alcohol but I have yet to try a coffee so maybe I will give them another chance.

What a hidden gem! Plenty of comfy seating inside and a small patio out front make it a great spot to relax. I'm in love with the whiskey and coffee--both of my love languages! The staff is super friendly, and the beverages are delicious. The decor is on point, and I'm excited for the "coming soon" outdoor seating and walk-up ordering options. Add this one to the love list!

Very chill and very peaceful. Felt like we were in a library. Great place to have a getaway close to home if you need to get out and work on things. It was very clean, the coffee was great & it was priced moderately well! Not to mention the guy working was very helpful!

I looked all over the internet for coffee houses with comfortable seating and atmosphere. Its seems these days coffee shops more prefer a get your coffee and leave atmosphere. I found Hogan Alley and loved it, the seating is comfortable, they have a small patio, and drink selection is great. The employees are sweet and friendly. Downside, finding parking.

The perfect chill spot for coffee and cocktails in the day or late at night! The workers are all so lovely, and have great music taste might I add. Good selection of quick bites and pastries. Finding parking was difficult, but that was expected.

Conveniently located, very good hours. Friendly staff. I've enjoyed their Northside which is a spiced mocha late. And their Arnold palmers are amazing with homemade sweet tea and lemonade. Their selection of baked goods is nice when you need a quick snack. Overall really nice vibe with so many options for all different times of day. The front open area is fun with the nicer weather!

Very cute, classy and quiet space. It is relatively early on a Saturday so maybe the crowd hasn't yet arrived, but the noise level fits the vibe. The decor is remnant of a Smokey lounge space leading to the back where the bar is with a comfortable amount of bar seating and standing room. The patio was open since it's a nice day and the crowd is growing as we sit and I enjoy my Carajillo off of the "dirty coffee" menu with a mod of my own; which was received without a second thought. I'll definitely be returning now that the weather says it's ok to come out and play.

Holy smokes, what a nice space. Hogan Alley FTW sits in downtown, open early, and closes late. By day, it's a coffee shop, by night, a bar. I had a cortado. The beans were dark, maybe too dark, but the drink was well-made. They serve a signature coffee called The Fairmount, named for the neighborhood, with amaretto and ginger. They source their beans from 2 Hats Coffee in Edom and Enduro in Fort Worth. Drink names all nod to Fort Worth. For example, "The Horned Mule," made with vodka, puréed prickly pear, and ginger beer. Inside, it's spacious. Maybe 25 tables, at least? You won't fight for space. There's an outdoor patio, too, where dogs are allowed, but only outside. Snacks come from Black Rooster Bakery and Art of Grazing. I'd love to work from here from time to time if they'll have me. Their hours are 7 am to 10 pm on weekdays, 8 am to midnight on weekends.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.
