They got one from another dealership that I bought. Which has a defect in the windshield. My husband wanted me to just leave and go somewhere else but I just wanted to get the car and move on. Then the finace guys was extremely rude. After a 1 1/2 months I was told that I had to go and get my tag on my own for some reason. The paperwork was not processed correctly. If I could give no stars I would. I went to Sons Honda to trade in my vehicle and purchase a new Honda. During negotiations I provided an approximate payoff and then the salesman called and got a 20 day payoff from my lien holder. The actual payoff amount was on several different worksheets. On the final contract they arbitrarily input a lesser amount which was not pointed out to me, and they now refuse to pay the difference of approximately $700. Poor customer service and deceptive practices. DO NOT GO HERE to buy a Honda, they will try to cheat you with the small print, and will bait and switch on you. The man who answered the parts line when I called wouldn't give his name, and told me to file a claim with UPS - but that they "don't ship damaged parts, so you'll be responsible." I am currently considering suing Sons Honda because they fraudulently ran a credit report without my authorization. While filling out my paperwork I was told by the sales rep that I have to provide my social security number. I told her that I do not want a credit check and she assured me it would not happen. It was done anyway and has consequently affected my credit negatively. The finance officer Derek apologized and said he would see if it can be removed but this was weeks ago. I have disputed with equifax and depending on if they can have it removed I will go forward with a lawsuit for fraud. read more

Unfortunately did not have a good experience with the parts department. I was excited that they carried my part but after waiting a month for shipping, I finally just asked for refund. Apparently my address was incorrect for the shipping but it was fine for billing. It would've been nice if they contacted me to let me know there was a problem. I wasn't issued a full refund after all of this. I still had to pay for shipping. Customer service could use a make over. read more

I had my Honda Accord towed there this past Wednesday. The diagnosis was a battery malfunction. So a new battery was put in. Before I left dealership I had service rep lift my hood. There was brown liquid material on my engine and hoses. The service tech cleaned up that mess. Once I got home I noticed battery acid drops on my car. Then I was looking at new battery. I noticed battery acid under new battery. The Maintenance tech left a mess. Now the paint is damaged on my car. I am very disappointed in the sloppy service department. I have taken my Honda there for years. It appears the quality is not what it once was. read more

We will never be back! My husband and I went here to look at the Odyssey and Pilot options. We are planning on trading in our truck and find a vehicle to better accommodate our growing family. When we arrived and got out of our car, we could hear the group of salesmen standing outside the door arguing over who was going to come greet us. In a bad way, none of them wanted to. We heard "I'm not going, you go, I don't want to go, maybe they'll leave, and even said go say something to them that'll make them leave." How horrible!!!!! We immediately started back to our truck when a very nice salesman, Ed, approached us. He had a warm and inviting personality. We told him we were leaving however. We got down the road and decided to turn back all due to Ed. He came back to us and helped us and let us test drive a vehicle and everything. We have absolutely no complaint on him. However, the horrible salesmen at the door ALL need to be addressed by management. I did call today and spoke with a manager and explained what happened. She said she would speak to the sales staff but honestly didn't seem interested in what I had to say so who knows if it will really even be addressed. I'm hoping the owner will read this so he is aware. As a business owner myself, I would absolutely want to be made aware of disgruntled employees and would address it immediately. My wife and I received a call from a salesman a couple of days later that asked us why We did not take the car at a drive out price of ?? out the door. My wife and I drove down later and we spoke with the sales manager and questioned him concerning this drive out price. He claims nobody there made the offer, but we showed him the number it came from. Because the general manager was not there, he said we could wait for him, but our time is limited. We told him we would sign at this price and take it up with him later. We did not get the out the door price on the car as offered by the salesman. While driving the car off the lot, we noticed the right headlight was not working. We also noticed a chipped windshield. There was much confusion between the dealership concerning the windshield replacement. We had these taken care of out of pocket. BE AWARE - this company did not keep their word with me. I left a message for Miss Butler, a member of the butler family. After several emails requesting to speak directly with her, she did not even return my call. This company owes me $1600. This expense is not including the cost of the headlight or windshield. When dealerships look for return business for future growth, this is not the way to handle customers. Based on these reasons, I will not be a return customer at Butler automotive group. I have told them in advance I am writing a review so other customers will not be taken as I have. We traded with Sons of Honda for what we thought would be a smooth transition. Where instead it has been one problem after another. They lost our house keys and other car key when we gave them our key chain to put the keys on from their vehicle. I live over 100 miles from the dealership so we called them and they couldn't find my keys. We had to also stay on them about our Tag, Title and the Money that they owed us that was promised on a "WE OWE" Paper. I wouldn't recommend them nor would I deal with them again. read more

We normally use a Honda dealership in Conyers for service but elected to give sons a try. We brought three of our Hondas there for emissions about a month ago. While there I thought we'd have the oil changed in one of the cars. The price we were quoted was $20 higher than the Conyers honda dealer. When I pointed this out, the service person said that they weren't using the synthetic blend that honda recommends. Called the other dealer and they only use the blend! The crew at Sons were extremely helpful in all aspects of the deal and helping me with my trade in. LaTanya Crawford was extremely friendly and professional in fielding my phone calls and getting me a prompt answer. Overall I can't say enough good things about this group of professionals. I feel I got a great deal on the car I purchased, a fair trade in price, great interest rate on the finance, and a very nice car that my wife and I will be driving for a long time. Horrible experience! They are a bunch of rep offs. My husband and I were referred to this dealership by Geico's adjuster, GT, who was currently assisting us with our 2011 Honda Accord, which was deemed a total loss on May 15, 2015. We were told to deal with Derek (sale associate) and Auto (Finance Manager) once we arrived and start our process. After several negotiations, we found a 2015 Honda Sport, with a ticket price of $26,190, that was suitable for us. Derek told us there was a rebate of $3000 on the car, and with our $500 down deposit, the amount to be finance was $22690 (not including taxes). Now, we are on our way to the finance dept. to meet with Auto, Finance Manager, to go over the terms and conditions. Auto, finance manager, told us the bank approved Zack, my fiancé, for 8%, but he will give us 6.2% with a warranty for 7yrs/100,000 for $2500, and the payment would only go up $12. Then, he, finance manager, added GAP Insurance for $900,and finally, their doc fee of $599, now bringing the car's total financing to over $34,000. After, getting home and reviewing everything, the suppose-to-be rebate of $3000 was never really a rebate because it was added on the back in and someone defrauded the bank by adding $1000 to Zack's income. We immediately called and spoke with Auto, finance manager, and asked to return the car because we felt like we had been scammed. We arrived BACK at Sons Honda dealership, to deal with the sale manager, Andre. Andre said he can cancel the warranty but he couldn't take the $2500or keep the interest rate of 6.2% because that was not the agreement. We demanded a new contract to reflect the $2500 being removed, Andre said he had to see if it could be done. He came back to the office with a new contract, payment was reduced and we keep our 6.2%, now the deal was sealed again!. The morning of May 30, 2015, around 9:30 a.m., my fiancé, Zack, received a call from Auto, finance manager, that the loan was denied and the bank wanted us to bring the car back immediately unless we take the 8% and/or pay $440 a month for the car. I was furious and said we were on our way to return the vehicle and I never wanted to deal with them AGAIN. 7 minutes later, Auto, finance manager, calls back and states there was an error on his behalf and we could keep the car. But, at this point I didn't want the vehicle, and felt we were victims of fraud, and didn't want to do business with them. We will consult with an attorney and the media Monday about this fraudulent transaction that occurred. read more

I love the car I bought, but these guys are shady! Finance lied to me and service was very poor. They would not budge on the price, which I accepted because I wanted the car but the next day on the internet that the exact car I just purchased (they didn't know it was sold) was advertised for $1000 lower. I went in to ask for the price advertised and was stuck there for 2 more hours while they "fixed" the problem, but when I went home with the final paperwork they had just added it their loss into in fees. I had overlooked it which was my fault because they had lowered the interest rate 2% that resulted in a lower payment. I asked the finance lady why the price of the car was still the same and she said it all would equal the same in the end. Also their referral bonus of $250, they just add that into the poor souls loan that you referred. I almost sent my daughter there to buy a car but I am so glad I realized what they do! read more

We have taken our Pilot in twice for repairs. Both experiences were top notch and I don't usually like going to a dealership for repairs. The first trip was for a recall warrant repair. The second trip was for a lingering issue that no other shop could find or repair. The mechanics quickly identified the problem and offered a solution. Buyer Beware! Before you even think of purchasing a vehicle from these folks, make sure to ask lots of questions. Do not assume anything (not even basics) because if you don't ask them, they will not tell you. Attempts to resolve my issue fell on deaf ears. Put on hold for several minutes (more than once), disconnected, promised a call back, never happened. The integrity and customer satisfaction they claim (on their message when you are placed on hold) has not been my experience with Sons Honda. Shop/buy elsewhere is my recommendation. read more

if i could give this place a "f" i would and unfortunately i have to give them one star. this is the worst honda place on the south side of atlanta. run don't buy or get your car serviced at this car mill. we brought a used 2003 honda civic in 9/17 and by 10/17 we brought it in for overheating and a coolant leak the repair was made. the car continued to overheat and we took it back to them in 11/17 to be told that the car needed a new radiator fan the repair was made. paul tolbert the assistant service manager also told me that the car had gasket damage and i should consider getting rid of the car. which i found to be interesting since we just brought the car from them. once paul tolbert realized what he said to me he changed his story. when i picked up the car i asked paul tolbert again were the gaskets good he said "yes you are fine no problem." so move forward two weeks later we take the car to an independent mechanic because of overheating and yes you guessed it gasket damage and it is not a new problem. basically they sold us a car that they knowingly knew had engine problems. yes we know the car is "as is" but a gasket is a major issue. we took the car back to them and after going back and forth and ignored phone calls. someone named jim/joe finally told me that they will only fix what is happening at the time it is brought in. in his 40 years of experience gaskets can out at any time. which proves they will keep milking money from you until they get to the high dollar repair. they will not fix the problem only the symptoms which leads to more money in their pockets. after days of keeping my car and no resolution paul tolbert basically me you are out of luck and it will cost $1500 at a minimum here are your car keys take it or leave it. there are more details that i can share but i will spare yall. they are loosing a customer of almost ten years and hopefully others will follow suit. read more

This is actually my first Yelp review. After horrific experiences at two other dealerships in Atlanta I was actually able to make a decent deal at Sons. I was firm on what I wanted to pay and they were open and honest about the price of the CRV I bought. I was also able to get a little over the Carmax price of my trade and they were open about their bullshit fees. I was treated like an actual human being without any thinly veiled psychological games. They also came in lower in price than the other Honda dealers in the area. It took me an hour and a half to make a deal and proceed to finance. The finance officer is a straight shooting Canadian with a sense of humor. As always, do your research and be firm about what you want. Don't buy any additional from the finance office as always. I've always enjoyed the cognitive dissonance of finance officers trying to sell you a warranty by telling you what a piece of shit the car you're about to buy is. I pointed that out. We actually laughed about it. Moving forward, I'm not too sure about the service department based in some of the reviews here (see: "the one where the wheel fell off"). I'll probably be looking elsewhere for service, but as far as the purchase is concerned I'm happy with Sons. read more

I called for an appointment with the service department 6 days prior to replace a specific item I knew they did not have in stock but could order before the appointment. I had someone else take my car in to replace the part. When I arrived for the scheduled appointment they made me wait 3 hrs before telling them THEY (not me) ordered the wrong part therefore someone would need to bring the car back. I immediately looked at my credit card statement to ensure they did not charge me for this item since nothing was done. THEY CHARGED THE FULL PRICE AS IF THEY PERFORMED THE SERVICE. When I inquired why I was charged for this item, they stated "for a large item (it only weighs 2lbs???) they have to charge a down payment to order it". That was an odd statement because this was the same representative I dealt with to make the appointment when I specified the item I wanted replaced therefore shouldn't she ask for a "payment" then? On top of that this is the 2nd time I brought my car in for the same problem they cannot fix. I took my car to a neighborhood guy to tell me the real problem but he advised their genuine Honda part and ownership of better equipment made them better for the job. NOT THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! In total I'm out $1200 and 12 hrs I can never get back due to their incompetent staff. Go to Willett Honda up the street!! The only great experience here is their newer facility with crappy service. I took the car back to get the part replaced and they replaced the wrong side and they did not change the oil which I paid for in advance too. STRAIGHT RIP OFF!! Do not support them!!!!!! read more

We were in the market for a Honda CRV, so my wife spent many hours calling and emailing dealers to get the best price. Sons Honda in McDonough gave us the lowest price, by far, of any other Honda dealer in the area. At the time Honda was offering an extremely low interest rate which expired at the end of the month. After lots of discussion on the color and features we wanted, we were able to make arrangements to close the deal on the last day of the month. My wife had a series of emails explicitly outlining what we wanted, with responses from the salesman assuring us that he would be able to get us everything we wanted for the price quoted. However, on the the day we were supposed to go pick up the CRV and sign paperwork, we got an email from the salesman telling us that he had made a mistake and that the CRV he had quoted us didn't include all the features my wife wanted (despite the fact that they were clearly outlined in all the email exchanges we had with the salesman). He then proceeded to tell us that he could give us a basic CRV for the price he quoted, but if we wanted all the features we had outlined during our email exchange, the price would increase by more than $3,000. After calling the sales manager and explaining what had happened (including sending him the emails), he was completely unsympathetic and told me that he could give me a great deal on the CRV we wanted - but not at the price we were quoted. He then told me that he was under no obligation to stand by the email quote. Since it was the last day of the month, I'm assuming they thought we would pay extra money to get the great financing deal. Instead, we went to another Honda dealer in the area, who found the CRV we wanted two days later and was able to get us the low interest rate, even though the deadline had passed. We were told there that this type of "bait and switch" was not uncommon at Sons Honda. Not sure if the salesman was typical of the dealer as a whole, but the fact that the sales manager wouldn't honor their quote means I would never consider purchasing from them ever again. read more
