Out of all the extension places I've tried (more than a dozen in the GTA), Tokyo Beauty Studio is the ONLY place I've come back to. There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. Unlike other eyelash extension places, they always understand what I want before putting lashes on me. Best of all, these lashes LAST. The full look lasts around 3 weeks for me (Which is a miracle. Admittedly I do rub my eyes, use cleansing oil, the whole shebam.) I don't want a "I bought $1 falsies from eBay and stacked them on my eye" look. They don't price attack you to make you feel like you need to buy stuff. It's a free consultation with recommendations. Then if you are doing the service, you go to another room and communicate with your person. Mine was Kayla and she was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and made recommendations. Told me to take pictures for my own benefit and I got 29 units of Dysport onto my forehead. I plan to go back as we discussed working across smile lines and eyes.

She paused than she says I have to PAY a deposit for my next appointment because I cancelled the last one. When I expressed I didn't cancel anything you gave me no indication you had two different locations. she cut me off and said "well that's fine the deposit is 50 dollars". Extremely unprofessional. Since I heard this clinic has a good deal on kenalog injections I paid the deposit . Literally on the day of my appointment she cancels saying I can not get my injections because the nurse is sick. She than gives me the date she initially gave me the first time she called me. Seems pretty clear to me she lied about sooner availability to snatch a deposit out of me.

When I got there I asked to see it before, and after they told me they can't find it in their system but showed us a picture of an eyebrow removal realizing that they wouldn't have a picture because they never did the procedure before. Girl told us that she won't be using any eyeball guard protection which was very unsafe and have asks her if she was supposed to use one and said no during the procedure lying to me about how it was supposed to be done. without the guard protection that was supposed to be used to protect her from the laser treatment she could have gone blind or caused serious eyesight damage her eyelids kept on moving because of the pain but if she would have the guard in place it would have kept her still. After she said it was done she didn't even do the bottom of the eyeliner, only did the top right and did even touch top left eyeliner I even told her that she didn't do all the eyes and told me she did and it just needs to heal which was a fucking lie. Called the office and expressed my concerns. The lady had no disregard and was being a bitch on the phone, kept me on hold probably to tell her friend what she did wrong and told me she was not here in the office when we just did it a couple of hours ago. She handled it with such grace: She honored the trim price for my Dad, making him feel great about his experience and assuring him that I had his back even though I was far away. She also agreed to help me by billing him $20 and billing me the rest so that he remains happily oblivious to the real cost. (Which I think is totally worth it for this cool little shop)

The spa itself and rooms are aesthetically pleasing and the rooms are incredibly clean as one would expect at a high-end spa. I've been to many spas and been going for facials for years and this is one of the most relaxing and professional places I've been to. As a result of my initial experiences, I've gone on to purchase several other packages including the hydration facial and laser pigmentation (3 treatments) which I will update this review after those experiences.
