I live in the pines, off a dirt road. I ordered a hot tub from Costco. The delivery company said they could leave it curbside. Period. At my house there are 16 narrow concrete steps leading to the back yard, then rocks and a dirt path and a little deck off the back bedroom where I wanted the hot tub to go. A horrible job. Getting something as lightweight as a patio chair up there is no cakewalk. Bobby's crew arrived a few minutes early. What?? Four of the nicest, most personable guys you'd ever want to meet. We waited around for word from the delivery company. Finally, I called them and was told that the truck couldn't make it up my street because of overhanging trees. The guys said, "No problem. We have a pickup!" The drove it down the the moving van, loaded the hot tub, brought it back to my house, and with no complaining or drama, managed to carry it up the stairs, unpack it, hoist it over the deck railing and position it. Bobby, the owner, is a great person. When I called him to see if he could do the job, I really thought he'd say no. He was all over it, worked the schedule around me, and was as good as his word. The price for the job was more than reasonable. Much more. I'd call him for any challenging job, yard or house. This is Prescott, after all. No work has been started and the company is unresponsive. Two employees have called us saying that he has taken all the customers money and ran. He is also withholding wages from his employees. We asked if the exterior of our home in the AZ room, which is not heated so it is not an interior room, was included in the quote. Jason never responded. 10/24/25 Jason sent over his Sherwin William rep so the rep and I could match the existing color of the home since we live in an HOA. I had the color names from the HOA Sherwin Williams book and showed it to rep. He confirmed those were the colors. Rep said he would give them to Jason. 10/27/25 Joseph and his crew showed up from B&M Painting to start our job. 10/29/25 Asked Jason to stop by our home to talk about the stucco walls in the Arizona room, the same one he never responded back about. I told him that we discussed it the day he walked around with me to write up a quote. Jason says I said no to painting the stucco in the AZ room/enclosed porch, which again has not heating and is not a sealed room. It even has vinyl window panes, not glass plus there are two thin aluminum doors. I told Jason I had told him about it. Jason starts to raise his voice and told us that we are trying to something for nothing; Jason said he has clients like us who try this all the time. Also told us that we are not contractors and he is. We are not painters but we are another type of contractor. Jason walked off and said he would NOT give us a quote. Because Jason walked off I could not show him that on the customer copy of the quote they provided me with was the email I sent with the quote asking about the exterior stucco in the AZ room. 10/30/25 Joseph and his crew were finishing our home and painted the front door the same color as the trim. Joseph said they did not have the front door color he asked if I had an old can of paint to match the front door. I told him that the Sherwin Williams rep had given the colors to Jason. He again asked me for the can of paint. I found the can of paint and he went to Sherwin Williams to match it. When Joseph's crew was done painting we walked the exterior together. Joseph tells me that the HOA might say something because the color of the house was not exact to the original color. I said, "Why?!" Joseph told me that the Sherwin Williams rep had dropped the ball so he had to take a strap off my house for the body color and another part near the a/c unit for the trim. So, if the HOA says our color is not the original color we will have to pay another company to paint it all again? We are done with B&M painting. Jason prides himself on communication but failed in our case, more than once.
