The shoulder injury was years ago so I'll be speaking on my experience so far with the ACL recovery process. When you walk in, there's a small waiting area enclosed by a partition and a window where you pay and check in. When you head back, you're greeted by Jeff, who is the physical therapist. Jeff, as well as everyone else there is very friendly and accommodating. He does a great job of showing you what to do, encourages questions, and does his best to ensure your comfort. Overall, no issues whatsoever. Just a nice guy who's good at his job. As for cleanliness and quality of equipment, I found nothing but good things. Jeff cleans the tables himself after each patient leaves and puts a fresh paper pillowcase on pillows for each patient. The rest of the facility is very clean. No dust or cobwebs, nothing broken or worn. The machines are all in good condition as well. As for who goes to see Jeff, while I've been there, it's been mostly older patients (40+), but I go during the day and school isn't out yet for high schools in the area. I'm an athlete in college and I have no issues here. Jeff was a wrestler when he was younger and knows that athletes want to get back to their sport as quickly as possible. Making appointments is easy and if you need to reschedule they are very accommodating.

I have had the need to come here on various occasions (lower back, foot problems) and every time I've been here I've had nothing but exceptional service. From the warm greeting of the entire front desk staff, to the kindness and assistance provided by all the Physical Therapy Aides, to the care and expertise of the Physical Therapists themselves. I especially want to acknowledge the gentile bed side manners of Lucinda Quesada (PT Aide). She always welcomes me with a warm smile and an even warmer goodbye. She is meticulous and takes her time to explain clearly the specific exercises that are required as part of my plan of care. I also want to acknowledge two of the therapists, Christopher Jones and Payam Zarrinpour., both are exceptional. They are patient, knowledgeable, and truly take the time to understand my needs and concerns. They have a wide depth and breath of knowledge in physiology and human anatomy. But more importantly, I sincerely appreciate their sense of humor. Not only do their treatments make me feel better but their personality brings out a healthy hearty laugh in me every time. Sure there are many other PT centers. Some much larger, better equipped, and providing a huge suite of services . I know because I have been to some of them too. But IMHO what makes ActiveCare stand out among the rest is their genuine desire and focus to heal you in an environment that is not clinical but rather very family like. I had two separate rounds of therapy and exercise and it cured my frozen shoulder. Today I was diagnosed with torn MCL in my left knee again my doctor prescribed PT. It seemed to work for a little while, but never got me back on my feet entirely. I'm cursed with the issue of not getting the benefit while still getting all the negative effects of the narcotic. A friend recommended Commons chiropractor center. Before I was injured, I wasn't a believer, I never thought it could help me. In fact, it took me almost 2 months of convincing actually walk into his office. I've been to two other chiropractors prior to that, and they were either too cautious or not strong enough to manipulate what they needed to because my work required a lot of heavy lifting and my muscles were tight . I have to say after the first visit, I noticed a dramatic difference. And it only got better after that. There must be 15 or 20 chiropractors between my home and commons chiropractor center. I tried a could have them until I followed my friend advice. Today I can confidently say I can live quite comfortably with minimal narcotics and I mean virtually nothing. I sought treatment for a frozen shoulder, bursitis, and tendinitis, hoping to find relief and improve my mobility. Instead, I left most sessions in more pain than when I arrived and saw little improvement in my condition. One of my biggest concerns was the lack of individualized care. Much of the treatment seemed to be directed by physical therapy assistants who simply instructed patients to perform exercises from a printed sheet. The exercises were rarely explained in detail, and I was not given a clear understanding of why I was doing them or how they related to my recovery. Sessions often felt rushed and impersonal, with instructions such as, "Do this for five minutes, then move on to the next exercise." The physical therapist's involvement was generally limited to applying heat or providing a brief massage at the end of the session. As a patient dealing with multiple painful conditions, I expected more hands-on guidance, assessment, and communication throughout my treatment. I also attempted to express my concerns to Nicole, but I did not feel that my feedback was taken seriously. Rather than addressing my discomfort and lack of progress, the focus seemed to be on whether I planned to continue attending therapy. Everyone's experience may be different, but if you are looking for a physical therapy practice that provides personalized attention, detailed explanations, and close patient-provider interaction, this may not be the right fit. Unfortunately, after completing treatment, I am still experiencing significant pain and remain disappointed with the care I received.
