I cannot speak highly enough about the entire team at VCA Midpark. My pets have been seen by all…read morethree veterinarians, and each one has been consistently kind, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. Dr. Nickell was the only vet who was able to solve a persistent skin issue with my senior cat after two other clinics told me to either accept his discomfort or sedate him. She found a solution that treated the root cause and preserved his quality of life. On top of that, she also identified a heart murmur in my dog--something our previous vet office completely missed--all on her very first day at the office! A few months ago, when a stray kitten wandered into my yard (and heart), the team got me an appointment within 24 hours with Dr. Suhie, who was incredibly gentle, personable, and helpful with my unexpected new fur baby. We've also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Anita Kinscher, who has been just as fantastic as the other two. The reception team is always warm and welcoming. On a side note, waiting area has been updated within the couple years and always feels clean. This is a stark contrast to my previous vet in Strongsville, where the front desk staff often seemed annoyed to answer the phone or check someone in. Finally, every single vet tech I've met has been loving, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. They take their time gaining the trust of my timid dog and absolutely dote on my cats. It's clear that everyone here is genuinely committed to their work and passionate about the animals they care for.

Eight years later, I cant imagine life without him in it. He's never been to a vet and I almost backed out bc I didn't want to stress him. The vet pictured was the absolute best. He's the cat whisperer for sure! I expected blood and eye gouging from my boy but instead, he loved the attention. Great experience...great person!!

My two dogs have been patients at Metropet for over 5 years, and the service and care has fallen…read moreoff a cliff for the past 2 years. It honestly feels like a comedy of errors. I take my dog for an arthritis injection and they are out of stock of the medication, even though my appointment has been on the books for a month. No one bothered to call me ahead of time. I took off work for this appointment! My other dog is on a prescription pill and they refused to refill the prescription even though he had an annual checkup a month prior. So I had to bring him in for bloodwork and of course they couldn't draw blood because he's a tiny nervous dog. Another failed appointment that I missed work for. If you are looking for a reliable vet, do not choose Metropet in Berea.

Don't recommend this place. They had my dog with prior seizure activity (that they were aware of)…read moreon a monthly prevention labeled with a giant "Do not use for dogs with prior seizure activity" warning. When I discovered this myself on Chewy.com, I brought it up and requested a different monthly preventative. It was clearly a problem that I questioned. The Vet encouraged me to continue my dog on the seizure-warning preventative but advised adding a seizure control medication on top of it... One we paid her practice for every month, of course. You can also expect a 45 minute to an hour wait/appointment time at this place, regardless of what the appointment is for. It is, without a doubt, the slowest service at a vet I've ever experienced-- and I've had dogs all my life. Additionally, they only let people inside who show proof of COVID vaccination.. just in case you're not vaccinated and would like to know that. The two stars is because they did do a great job on my dog's spay and hernia surgery. You can hardly even tell there was a long incision made, so that's noteworthy. After all of this, I switched Veterinarians, wait no longer than 2 minutes for an appointment, and was presented alternative monthly preventative options without seizure warning labels for consideration. Amazing.

The vet examined him and then said he should get an X-ray but that they don't do them, so I would need to go somewhere else. I knew going in that he would need an X-ray and had no idea they wouldn't be able to do it there. The doctor said someone should've told me when I called for the appointment. But they didn't. And I still had to pay for the office visit. The office visit where she examined my cat, couldn't figure anything out, told me he was in no pain and then sent me home. I took him to another vet two days later and before they even did the X-ray that doctor knew he had a tumor and that he was in pain. Turns out it's an aggressive sarcoma and he's been hurting badly. Thanks for absolutely nothing, Strongsville Animal Hospital. Not to mention the leaking ceiling with the two big tupperwares underneath. And my daughter also overheard the girls at the front desk talking about vaccinating a puppy with a bent needle because the puppy bit the needle. Real nice place.

There are times you're concerned and upset, pets are part of the family (a fact they seem oblivious to). They barely acknowledge your presence and act as though they are doing you a great favor by allowing you to sit in the waiting room. Sometimes for far past your appointment time! Unfortunately I would no longer recommend.
