Door doesn't even close in room 10
    Cindy H.

Came here for the at 2:20pm. Rate is $15 per person until 8pm. The place is ghetto, the front desk looks like high schoolers operated desk. Plain thin desk with laptop. We were in room 10. The room had cigarettes smell but is was clean. The door doesn't fully shut. There was English, Chinese, korean and Spanish songs. Decent amount of English library. There was no attendants. Guess it is okay if you bring your own drinks and snacks in.

I was there during Happy Hour on Sunday. Service is extremely bad, place is super dirty, very disappointed. Price: On website, it's showing $11.99 for 2 drinks. My friend called to make reservation, the person on the phone confirmed the price is $11.99 but only with 1 drink. When we got there, they said it's $15 including tax and "cleaning fee" excluding tips. Time: On website, it's showing Happy Hour is 2pm-8pm. On the phone the person said it's 3pm-8pm. When we were there, the lady came to give our bill at around 6:45pm and said we need to leave before 7:30pm because they need to clean the room so people who made reservation at 8pm can use it right at 8... Environment: The place smells. It smells like cigarette plus puke. Room is not clean. There are balloons and other stuff left behind from the people before us. The washroom is extremely dirty. One washroom stall is broken and leaning inward, door is gone and the stall looks like it's about fall anytime soon. All stalls but the broken one have no toilet paper. One sink is clogged and it looks like the water is about to overflow. Drinks: When we ordered drinks, they said they can give us two pitchers instead because they don't have enough glasses...we asked how do we drink from the pitcher then? They said they will provide the disposable cups. When the first pitcher came, it's only three quarter, because we order hot drink. The second one is more because we ordered cold drink and there's ice. Both drinks were watered down as well. Overall Experience: I will never go back again and definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. As a matter of fact I will tell anyone that's looking for a karaoke place to stay as far away from this place as possible.

When we arrived, the place was already quite full. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, who took us to a seat facing the window. She asked if we have been here before, and we let her know that it was our first time visiting the cafe. She let us know that at night, the cafe turns into a lounge! She brought us the menu, pitcher of cold water, and two glasses. Then she let us know that once we are ready, we can scan the QR Code on the table to place our orders. The menu had lots of exciting items, after a few minutes, we placed our orders- my friend chose the Curry Katsu Benny and I picked the Mushroom and Cheese Omelette with Iced Lemon Tea. When our orders arrived, we could not wait to eat! My friend said that her dish was yummy- the katsu was juicy, the bread was soft yet firm, plus the salad was fresh. I enjoyed my dish as well- the omelette had good amount of mushrooms and cheese, so every bite was tasty. Also, the drink was refreshing and lightly sweet, which was great. In addition, the bear (made out of sugar) hanging by the rim was beary cute! During our meal, our waitress came by a few times to ensure that we had enough napkins and cold water. Good vibes, friendly service and yummy food, I look forward to returning again.

Fionn MacCool had a dog friendly patio and I ended up having dinner here. I got the fish and chips with a mule, my friend also ordered the same thing. About 15 minutes after ordering, our server informed us they only made one order instead of two. They gave us 20% off for their mistake, and both of dishes came out shortly after. The fish and chips were fresh and the perfect amount for a "not super heavy" dinner. Everything was well cooked and I enjoyed it! Our sever was really sweet, checked up on us a few times. And the patio was very spacious. The menu is pretty standard bar type food. Overall, a good spot on a summer day, and would not hesitate to come back.

Wasn't a very friendly greeting. Service was very limited - take order and bring order. Everyone was involved in the set up leaving the patrons on their own. There were little flies and a moth buzzing around which was a bit annoying. Fish and chips: The fries were the standard fare. The vaster in the dis was good with just enough crisp to it. The fish however could use some seasoning. It came with some cold slaw which didn't have much flavour. Fish taco - lots of batter - 1 piece of fish which also needed seasoning. Sauce and topping minimal but good Caesar salad - lots of sauce. Too Tangy. Overall OK.

Not my first visit to Scaddabush Richmond Hill, but it had been quite some time since my last one…read more This return visit ended up being memorable for a few unexpected mishaps, though thankfully the overall experience was still a positive one. I called the day before right when they opened to make a reservation since the online system showed no availability. The staff member who took my call was incredibly friendly and thorough. In addition to the usual questions about party size, time, name, and phone number, they also asked how many children would be joining us, whether anyone had allergies, if we were celebrating a special occasion, and informed me in advance about the automatic gratuity for larger parties as well as the two-hour seating limit. I really appreciated how comprehensive they were. Fast forward to dinner... Parking in the plaza was absolute chaos. It took us quite a while to find spots, though that's not entirely surprising given how many popular restaurants are in the plaza. I'm sure the FIFA match that evening didn't help either. We were seated at what I'd describe as a "cozy" table. It wasn't cramped, but it definitely felt snug for our group. Thankfully, it ended up working out because we were sharing most dishes and the staff were fantastic about promptly clearing empty plates as we finished sharing dishes. We started with the Caesar salad, the Prosciutto & Mozzarella, and a Three Meat Pizza. The Caesar salad was well dressed with great flavour, while the mozzarella was, as always, a crowd favourite. I was pleasantly surprised by the focaccia, which was much crispier than I was expecting (I've never had it toasted like that before), with a wonderfully buttery flavour. The pizza was also excellent, not overly salty, with a chewy crust and a perfectly crisp exterior. For my main, I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was well balanced, and nothing was overly salty. I also ordered the Rosemary Garlic Fries, which were tasty, although I do wish they had served a bit more aioli since that's what really elevates the dish. I also stole a few bites of other entrées around the table. The Vodka Pasta wasn't what I'd consider a traditional vodka sauce, as it leaned much more toward a creamy Alfredo, but it had a nice kick of spice. The standout for me, however, was the Shrimp Lemon Pasta. It was absolutely delicious, and I'd easily order that as my main on my next visit. Since we were celebrating my aunt's birthday, the staff surprised her with a chocolate cake topped with colourful sprinkles and a sparkler. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal. Now for the memorable mishaps. The most alarming occurred when an employee accidentally knocked over one of the decorative jars filled with beans. It shattered as soon as it hit the floor, sending glass and beans underneath our table. We stayed still because we knew shards had scattered around our feet, and I was wearing shorts, so I could actually feel some of the debris around my legs. My biggest concern came when my mom mentioned she felt something brush against her neck, but thankfully she wasn't injured. The employee was incredibly apologetic and immediately stayed behind to thoroughly clean everything up. We all stepped away from the table to make sure every piece of glass could be safely swept up before sitting back down. The second near mishap happened when our server returned carrying full glass bottles of water. One slipped from her hand and hit the table, but thankfully she managed to keep hold of it before it shattered or knocked anything over. Despite those unexpected moments, our server was wonderful throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and especially diligent about ensuring the allergy at our table was handled appropriately. Accidents happen, and while these certainly made for a memorable dinner, I appreciated how professionally the staff handled each situation and how well they continued to take care of us afterward.

There were a team of dedicated servers helping our table. The server was knowledgeable with the wine list and provided her recommendations for white wine. I ended up ordering the Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc. It was dry white wine with some fruity notes. I'm not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed it. We had a set menu which included a small appetizer soup or caesar salad. I ordered the coconut chicken soup and it was a delight. The soup was definitely Thai influenced and the bamboo shoots, chicken and coconut was a perfect medley of ingredients. It was almost like a green curry. We also ordered beef nachos, crispy calamari and goat cheese and bread dip. All the appetizers were pretty good no complaints here. I ordered the Chipotle mango chicken based on my positive experience before. I must say the dish was really good but the one I had in Moxies Pickering was outstanding. The chicken lacked the deep grill charred marks and was not piping hot. Usually the plates are really hot when they are brought out. The plate was only warm to the touch. The bite of white chocolate brownie was decadent and was great finale for our meal. I ordered a cappuccino to cap off the meal. One critique would be the lack of refilling the waters on our table. The restaurant definitely had an attractive crowd and people were happy and enjoying their drinks and food. It was a little bit difficult to talk inside as the sound insulation in the patio was poor. Overall, the service was pretty attentive and friendly. I would recommend making a reservation if you are coming in a large group. Thank you Moxies for great evening.
