The office was able to schedule me in the next day. 1. Tundra like facility.Yes this is Florida, not the North Pole. 2. Waiting room TV had insensitive advertisements for patients preparing to head back for surgery. 3. Dr. Bird seems to have lost all empathy and emotion. 4. As a patient, sitting in the chair with tears rolling down my face, he couldn't even bother to ask if I was OK. He made me feel like an uneducated + inexperienced dental patient with poor dental hygiene. Which is the complete opposite. I brush 6+ times a day and floss after every meal. Investing in braces, every three month cleanings, and really caring for my teeth does not fit the category he placed me in! I can definitely say I was proud + happy to smile. Not so much anymore. :'( 5. The tooth extraction itself was extremely painful. I kept informing the Dr + assistant I was not numb and could feel everything he was doing. The drill + the instruments, the sound, and the scene was every bit you would picture in a horror film. I honestly can say, I wish I had performed a Tom Hanks move, as he did in Cast Away. The woman at the check out could quite possibly charge you anything on your credit card, as she takes it with no mention of total or personality what so ever. In conclusion I would like to erase this incident from my memory. I wish for the entire staff to take a class in sensitivity, empathy, and a 'how to be nice to people' crash course.

Years later another dentist said I did not need a root canal, but that he could not fill the cavity, and that I had to get a crown. The crown was going to cost $565 with dental insurance. Dr. Caballero not only filled the cavity, but rebuilt my tooth so that it is the best looking tooth in my mouth, and my cost was only $63. He is amazing!

Unfortunately,, this dosage was 3 times the recommended dosage for a man of my weight and age and for the next 15 hours I fell into a near comatose state. When my wife called the Ocean Breeze office in a panic, she was told "Don't worry unless he stops breathing" To make matters worse, the office just sent me a $50 bill for a missed appointment. Although I have asked several times for Dr. Wetmore to call me about his prescription error, he has never called me or offered any type of apology. Needless to say, this long term patient will not be going back to Ocean Breeze Dental. It's up to you but I suggest that you consider another dental practice that will act responsibly to protect your health and well being. (By the way. Ocean Breeze made me pay for a new crown that had to be replaced after three years and another Ocean Breeze installed crown recently fell out.)
