So without a second opinion I agreed to a new crown. Her dental assistant talked me into a mouthguard which was ineffective for its purpose. Moreover, it caused damage to my existing dental work. The mouthguard was made of hard ridged material which is not recommended for people who have restorative dental work aka crowns and fillings. The pressure causes the bonding and cement to weaken and crack. Hence, I lost a crown and a filling. Dr. Prill refused to take responsibility for the damage caused by her inappropriate night guard, nor would she replace the night guard which did not fulfill its intended purpose. I am now facing thousands of dollars more of dental work discomfort, and time consuming appointments. When it comes to dental ethics, there is a term called malfeasance. This is when a doctor does more harm than good. I intend to file a complaint with the FLORIDA board of Dentistry. Here are some complaints made be other patients of Dr. Prill's. Unfortunately,, this dosage was 3 times the recommended dosage for a man of my weight and age and for the next 15 hours I fell into a near comatose state. When my wife called the Ocean Breeze office in a panic, she was told "Don't worry unless he stops breathing" To make matters worse, the office just sent me a $50 bill for a missed appointment. Although I have asked several times for Dr. Wetmore to call me about his prescription error, he has never called me or offered any type of apology. Needless to say, this long term patient will not be going back to Ocean Breeze Dental. It's up to you but I suggest that you consider another dental practice that will act responsibly to protect your health and well being. (By the way. Ocean Breeze made me pay for a new crown that had to be replaced after three years and another Ocean Breeze installed crown recently fell out.)

I've been a patient at this dentist for a little over a year now I think. And most every case…read moreexcept for one of the cleanings I've had a very dissatisfactory experience. I recently had a tooth extracted and it was probably the worst tooth extraction I've ever had. I have had a total of 7. 6 of them by other dentists and one at this dentist. What should've been a routine extraction has resulted in the most pain I have ever felt. Dentist was extremely rough in removing the tooth and did not section it like she should have given how difficult it was to remove. Instead, she just pride and pride and pride and Hurt most all my other teeth on the top in the process. Her response to the pain was "it is normal". Based on my experience with other dentists, this is not at all normal. Some pain is expected. Given the severity of the pain I would have expected, and in fact, asked for a prescription painkiller to deal with it. Their response was "take Tylenol". They have no after hours number and the phone does not even go to an answering machine after hours. You are just stuck with whatever happens or you can find somebody else. I'm incredibly unimpressed with my experience here.

I was disappointed by some of the answers to my questions, so I recognize it was not an easy call for her - but it was her use of the word "honey", and it's accompanied tone of voice, that lost my business. I am finding every option to leave reviews so the dental practice management can address this. Had this not occurred, I would have made an appointment after grumbling a little about redoing x-rays and other administrative items - and I have at least $5-$10k of dental work that needs to be performed, along with my husband's dental care.
