This was our first venture into Soul Fire, and I took my 7yo granddaughter who is a wanna-be artist. We chose the Glass Fusing for a new experience and it was a hit! We made an appointment ahead of time and as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a lovely woman who spent good time explaining to us just how to safely work with glass, and not get cut or hurt in any way. The instructions are very in depth but necessary. When is was time to start the creative process, my granddaughter knew just what she wanted to create and loved selecting all the parts to make it just as she wanted. Start to finish was about 190 minutes, but it could be faster or slower, depending on how your creative juices flow. In the end she was thrilled with her project and we sprayed it to keep it in position for the transfer to the kilns. In 7-10 days I will return and pick up the final project. Our final cost for a 6" square art piece came to $40. We can't wait! The cost is not super cheap, but you know exactly what you are paying before you start. The supplies are endless and we plan to return for other activities as soon as possible. We saw entire families enjoying themselves, and this is a great activity to do with all ages, young children to adults. Made ourselves a date night for some Christmas memories. I wanted to do some glass work. We were greeted at the door by Morgan. She was so helpful through the whole process. We decided on Christmas tree ornaments. Morgan got all our working tools and was very thorough in explaining how to cut the glass and told us if we needed any further help she would be happy to help. We then were able to create at our own will and speed. It was a Friday night at the end of the day and we were told to take our time and not feel rushed. You can order drinks to enjoy. The atmosphere was so comfortable and warm. You could paint or do pottery. So many things. I think we just started our new tradition to make a new ornament yearly. We had booked some open creating time. But you can register for any of the classes they offer as well. We will definitely be back. Everyone was helpful and kind. Can't say enough good things about the whole process from start to finish. Took about 7 days to have the project fired and ready for us to pick up. Our ornaments are beautiful on our tree. read more

Holy cow! This place is a nicely hidden gem in Delafield. If you love pottery, glass or just crafting this place is for you. We have been in Delafield for 30 years and found this hidden gem and quite surprised at the variety for adults and children. They even showcase some work from local artists that are for sale. I found it very interesting and what a great idea that they offer rooms for parties to play with glass or paint pottery or what ever else they offer. This place is really neat. I had my birthday here one year, and everybody's glass pieces turned out well for a decent price. I took a class here two summers ago. We get to make our own two clay pieces. I made a rabbit and a monster. My rabbit turned out really well, and they warned me to put in air holes. I put in plenty. Yet, when we came back, it had exploded despite the air holes and warning. I was really upset. They tried to make up for it with a $15 gift card, but I had been planning on giving my piece to a friend for her birthday--I ended up giving her something store bought, and I still want the rabbit to this day. read more

She didn't just assist with the activities, she was an active leader of the event. She kept the kids' attention, kept them in line, kept the party moving and made it look effortless! The place and options are excellent. There are many choices of pottery and the glass varieties and things to make is by far my favorite thing! My lower star rating is due to a couple things. First different glasses are more expensive than others for them. But the projects are one price determined on size. It took me a while to determine my plan of attach for my piece. Then, When I chose to use a pretty large piece of the more expensive glass, one of the ladies working came up to me and said "make sure you only use what you need because that costs us more. We prefer people use smaller amounts." Not in a nice way but more to state displeasure. Second thing: there are things that they don't tell you in advance so you can make an informed decision about what to make. When I went to pick up my piece, there were little air bubbles in much of the glass. My piece was larger and expensive. I asked about them. I was told that that often happens in the large pieces. ?why wouldn't they have told me that in advance? This was the second thing that wasn't told until it was too late. :(. Still knowing now what I know? I would try it again. The glass projects are fun. Just much smaller and based on what I now know. read more

My children have made me quality gifts here and had fun in the making of them. Took my teen daughter and her two friends today for some birthday fun. I called a head of time to make sure we could just do a walk in and they said yes. We did go in on a Saturday. It took a little bit of time to have one of the staff talk to us about the pottery the girls chose to do. I understood why it did.... the staff member went into a lot of detail about how to paint the pottery and everything the girls would need to know about the paints, brushes etc. The place has so much to chose from and the staff is very, very friendly. The studio is super cute and really big inside with lots of table space. The owner was there and was very nice and talked to us for a while. I would definitely go back!! read more

What a great place that offers so much!!! From the inexperienced artist to wonderfully trained artists! I love the caring staff, they try to accommodate every person that comes into the door! They teach you anything and everything you need to know to make your masterpiece. They even teach classes to all ages and have sodas, coffee, beer and wine! The Assistant Manager is so amazing!
