Most of the staff are friendly with the exception of the " main" cashier ( didn't get her name but she was a strawberry blonde)as well as what I assume is the owner .Cashiet had a poor attitude and when asked a question she acted very bothered . Same with the male owner If you want to do glass fusing beware They have very very little of the "frit" glass stocked. The tools provided for glass cutting are very dull and need to be replaced. read more

Let me tell you about this wonderful experience! Yes, this place is actually an experience! Located within the Thiensville community, this quiet little unassuming shop is loads of fun and bursting with creativity. Whether you bring you littlest friends or your best-est friends, you'll have a ball here! I found Glaze by mistake! I walk my dog from Mequon to the Village of Thiensville Park every day (or he walks me). In the summer, when it's really hot, we need places to stop and rest because I have mobility issues. I started stopping at this "ice-cream" shop because they had bottled water. Then, I started stopping there because they had Cedar Crest Ice cream! The next thing I knew, I was stopping there, because everyone was so friendly and I wanted to sit and talk a bit. Then, they got me all interested in the pottery work I could do while I talked. Finally, I discovered, They had THE best toast! (Yes, I said toast -- Stop, laughing! You have to try it. I swear. I can't make it the way they do. Their's is magical)! You have to go there! Tell them, Phyllis and Buddy sent you and just try everything all at once. Have toast AND ice cream! Again, stop laughing! Make something pretty! Take friends! Take kids! Go alone! Do a party! This is my happy place where I go to be creative and work with glass. The staff are outgoing and extremely helpful. As I develop my skills working with glass, they have taken extra time to teach me new techniques and always get excited about my projects. Excellent! Went here with my wife and two daughter for my wife's bday. They had been here before, but it was my first time. So much fun, and it can be fun for anyone of any age. Staff was friendly and helpful. Making the art pieces was fun, and the atmosphere was both upbeat and calming. They have some limited food items that can serve as snacks, and they serve everything from Vitamin Water to wine! Saw a few people just leisurely working on their art pie e while sipping on a glass of wine. Great for parties and groups. I even saw a wedding party working together! This place is great! read more

You pay when you are here, and pick up at a later date as the pieces need to be clear coated and fired. They have standard user friendly kitchen type items, travel mugs, and decorative items. I was out-of-state and I wanted to do something extra special for my cousin's big birthday (she lives in Wisconsin). I wanted to do something fun that we've never done before. Glaze was perfect! They showed us around the studio, the entire process, and how everything worked. I thought the inclusion of the various toasts was extra fun! I found that online and decided this was the perfect place to not only celebrate her birthday, but make commemoration coffee mugs, too! And the toast was so much fun! I'd never thought of that before! Who knew? I might have to make a special trip back to Wisconsin for the Granny Smith apple, Wisconsin cheddar, and caramel glaze toast! What a treat! Glaze is a lovely place to get your art on. It is fun for the young and old. I enjoy pottery painting with my niece and glass fusing with my Mom. What makes the experience great: you can order a glass of wine or a snack to enjoy while creating your masterpiece. I do wish they had better hot snacks, but I understand they are an art studio and not a restaurant. I highly recommend. (They have relocated to Green Bay Rd. in Thiensville. I have never visited their old Cedarburg location.) read more

My entire experience here was great. The employees were incredibly friendly, and there was a huge variety of pieces to paint. The prices were also very reasonable, and you basically get free range in the studio. The employees leave you to do what you want and don't hover over you. For starters, it is cheaper to buy a glaze pottery from the store and already made. The only plus ( to some it may be a minus) is that although the kids make it, you waste more than 3 hours and pay a load crap of money. The studio fees are just to get more money out of you and the pottery itself and way over priced. Secondly, when you hand it off to them ( in our experience) they get it dirty with another color and don't take responsibility. When I talked to Christina ( the manager) about it she said and I quote " If you are not happy with it, we can give you store credit or you can make a new one." But the store credit is the same thing as you returning a clothing item or some other item. Making a new one means that you also waste another 3 plus hours and not know how it will turn out. Now my son will not go back to that place no matter what and I wasted a lot of money for my sons football cup to be ruined. At first I was open minded about this place ( since I have heard bad stuff from family and friends) but now I see where they are coming from. I would not recommend this place other than maybe getting a scoop of ice-cream. Other places would return your money and let you keep what you made, but this place does it differently and not in a good way. Glaze pottery is not a good pottery place. We have not tried the glass making station, so we can not say anything about that. But the pottery station is a for sure a no. read more

Well organized, reasonably priced (you can get out cheap for a $10 mug or spend $50 on a platter) with lots of space to work. It's an old converted home that's 3 stories tall. They have snacks and a bar area for adults to drink wine. They also have glass art activities. The staff is very helpful and the paints are well stocked. They have a huge variety of items to glaze. It's always clean. I really like this place. It's a fun place to be creative. Great place for a kid activity or for a girls night out. read more
