A family member recommended I try Nicole and her CORE myofascial massage. As an ultra marathoner, volleyball player, and generally active person, tight, tired, sore muscles are a way of life. Nicole not only worked out some tenderness, but her technique also focused on loosening stiff, tight joints. I hadn't realized just how tight my hips were until she worked on one side and had me stand to feel the difference. Nicole was very friendly and her therapy room was neat and welcoming. She was happy to chat with me about what she was doing and why when I asked and also allowed me to just relax when I needed to. She was very thorough in addressing all the areas I mentioned were issues and even gave me some things I could do at home to address them. Her prices are very reasonable and I plan to try to go more regularly as part of my training plan. I usually leave a massage feeling ready for a nap, but I left Nicole's feeling loose and energized. Best massage I have ever had, and I have had a lot. It is very difficult to find someone who is a specialist in bodywork who understands: (a) the physiological issues; (b) how those issues may or may not be presenting; (c) the emotional baggage that may contribute to injury; and (d) a real knowledge of a body's reaction to physical traumas. Cory can do all of it, but with amazing strength and very powerful hands which means she gets what the massage is FOR and also is very good about providing the massage. This is unprecedented. Also, as a large woman of color, I rarely find therapists such as Cory who are not "scared" of my body and compensate by giving a very mild massage or going so hard they cause me pain.

All of the teachers are amazing and the owner, Kerry is kind and compassionate to everyone who walks through her door. Not only has Kerry created a relaxing and tranquil space to practice yoga, she has created a sanctuary for all to celebrate and honor your mind and body no matter your shape, size, age or activity level. There is a wide variety of classes, from a slow flow "feel grounded" to a more pilates based "feel strong" and each of the teachers bring a different flavor to each class. Kerry is always thinking of new experiences to bring to the studio and connect with her fellow community members through partnerships, workshops and special events. Not only does she host yoga based classes and events but she has expanded to sound bathing, reiki, massage, tarot reading and so much more!
